Pam's voice is beautiful. Andy's voice is soooo sweet and most tender. His eyes make beautiful contact with hers and makes this song so believeable. Did they make a film of this play? I would love to see it.
Andy made a cracking Joseph in Technicolor Dreamcoat, but while he sang this nicely, it' clearly sounds like what it is, a (top class) pop star singing Gilbert & Sullivan. He's just not a Gilbert & Sullivan level lead. Pam Dawber on the other hand absolutely is, her voice is beautiful, sweet and soars, exactly what you'd expect of Mabel...and it's a crying shame that they never used this talent more in her TV work, especially Mork & Mindy, where her character (for a portion of the show) actually helped put herself through college giving singing lessons.

But It's fairly clear from this that he can't sing Gilbert & Sullivan, certainly not to the level Pam Dawber clearly could.
All those Debbie Downers need to lay off of Andy in his defense he did take drugs which ruined his singing voice they should go back and listen to his 1970,s recordings he even admitted that he wasn't a trained singer but really did you know Qeen asked AndyGibb too do background vocals on their recordings that's how talented people knew AndyGibb was
Dawber is definitely lip-syncing here. The voice in the video is singing full vibrato - but neither Dawber’s tongue or voice box vibrate one bit. Totally fake performance. :(
I had the privilege to listen to these two every performance in Los Angeles, back in 1981. It was pure joy. Such lovely souls.
