    I purchased a WE 66 a few months ago. I got a WE GO when they first came out, liked it and got some really good results with it. I reached out to WE with a question about using it for a Swiss Army Knife as they are and have been one of the most popular EDC's for decades. I got crickets for a response which pissed me off. You would think that with what they charge for these, they would fit it for one of the most established EDC's without gouging you for an adapter. Good product generally. Customer support leaves a lot to be desired.

      Sorry to hear that you had that experience with WE. Great customer support is key to any business, especially to loyal customers. They are usually pretty good from the feedback that I've gotten.

    so the dualcam vice is much better if you're just doing pocket knives and kitchen knives? there is a sale coming up on the we130 but the we66 still seems like the way to go. btw second question, will your code stack with their summer sale discount??

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  Рік тому +1

      Hello Tripp, I'm a big fan of the WE130, since I got to use it for years, and got used to it.
      The WE66 is the new shiny kid on the block and I do feel that it is an easier sharpener to use. But... I feel that you cannot go wrong with either one. If you can get a great deal comparatively, then go for it. It really is about personal preference of of course... Budget.
      As far as stacking the coupon code, I really don't know. You would have to contact WE and ask them or just try it out during the checkout process and see it it combines; then decide from there.
      Good luck and let me know what you decide to do.

    Does it matter which way you go with the stones? Other videos I have seen go from the bottom of the blade edge and up while you seem to be going from the top down.

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  Рік тому

      Hello yambor44, either method will work. Safety is the main concern, so go with what you feel is the safest approach for you.

      @@CoachHelder Thank you. I saw another video after posting this comment that said W.E. "recently" recommends the method you are using. I purchased mine several years ago when the method was the opposite. Good to know either is fine and I will check yours out on my next sharpening session. Thanks again!

    Would be great if they made a clamping system for base to metal rack of a Honda atv for field use.

    Have you had any complaints with the knife clamp, specifically the clamp pressure? I found a review complaining that you can't increase the clamp pressure. From your video that doesn't seem to be an issue. Maybe w/ bigger knives? Thanks for the vid!

    • @CoachHelder
      @CoachHelder  11 місяців тому +1

      Hello and I appreciate your support!
      I haven't run into any issues with the clamp so far. I've sharpened different size knives and the WE66 has performed very well.
      If I do run into any issues with the clamp in the future, I will certainly update this review.
      Enjoy your day!

    I had the go 60 that preceeded this model, (it had the same base and same ball joints as this model) and I wouldn't have ever bought it if wicked edge had been forthright in informing the buyer that they downgraded the ball joint with plastic parts. Both the races and the tension screws for those ball joints are now made of plastic.
    It's not that plastic is necessarily bad in all applications, but in a ball joint that supports overhead tension in this system it's awful, not to mention the tension screws are not very user friendly either.
    The whole thing is awkward to use anyway, I regret ever owning any of their products.
    I moved on to the edge pro, and it's a huge improvement over wicked edge products.
    Thank you for sharing some of your valuable time with me.
