  • And the award for best dad goes to... LOL 😂
    We had already watched this movie years ago when it came out but we had forgotten pretty much everything so here we are! 🤗
    We remembered how awesome Laura was, but we were shocked with the details of her creation 😱 Charles's death was so awful, we wish he could have said those words to the real Logan 😢 Also we think that Logan had so much more to give and live but it had to happen 😓
    The worst part was for Laura that had to lose everyone in this movie but at least she's with her friends 💞
    Thank you so much for watching, we hope you enjoy the reaction and have a great day, love you! 💝

    You said she's a wild animal. That is what a Wolverine is. A Wolverine is a small animal that can kill a Grizzly Bear. They don't run from anything.

    There is a brief scene (in the nurses video, I think) of Laura tied down with her arms and legs sliced open so they likely did the same procedure on her and gave her adamantium claws (I don't think her bones are coated though). In the comics she was created in the same program as Logan (who was called Weapon X) while Laura is called X-23.

      Right!! It wouldn't be wise to coat the bones of a child, she still has to grow 😅

    At this point Logan is a little over 200 years old. His healing factor has declined to the point where the effects of adamantium poisoning start to become apparent unlike before where his healing factor kept them at bay (similar to how Deadpool's healing factor keeps his cancer bay) So he's struggling with the effects of adamantium posioning as well as having a much slower healing factor.

      Yeah it’s a government deal too. They eradicated new mutants by putting junk in the food/water to combat the mutant gene. No new mutants were born and current mutants deteriorated. The kids were lab made and grown so they weren’t subjected to normal diets. That’s why charles, logan, and calaban were all showing signs of struggling.

    To clarify for you guys, Wolverine's mutation is a regenerative healing factor NOT the adamantium claws nor his entire admantium-coated skeleton. In Marvel comics, there is a group of closely associated mutants with this same mutation, most notably Wolverine and Deadpool. Others include X-23 (Laura), Sabretooth (Wolverine's brother) Daken (wolverine's son) and Lady Deathstrike. The claws in Laura's case are artificially and surgically grafted into her. Wolverine and Daken have natural claws than have been enhanced with adamantium.

    • @zimvader25
      @zimvader25 18 днів тому +3

      His claws are also part of his mutation, just like sabretooth and lady deathstrike have claws. So does x-23. Her claws are natural. They weren’t implanted. They were just coated but since they didn’t have Striker’s skills they removed and reinserted them to do it. That’s the only part of her that’s coated in adamantium. You seemed confused by that part. But she definitely has natural claws. They weren’t “artificially grafted”. Not in the movie or comics. In the comics they did that to her fully awake because they hated wolverine and took it out on her. Didn’t do her entire skeleton so she could grow.

    Good reaction....suggestion for next reaction: "Xmen '97" ...it is a remake of the animated cartoon but it caters to adults that grew up that had watched it as a kid. They changed certain parts of the original story so it is not a repeat good luck

    Another great reaction. 😊 I see everything was pretty much explained in the comments section about the toxic metal “Adamantium” & why he’s not healing from it anymore (his old age as well the chemicals being put in food/water supply to suppress Mutants). In regards to what’s happing to him. In addition to, different timelines. I enjoy watching you guys so much. ❤

      @michaelccozens 17 днів тому +1

      @@NerdishReact Yeah, that's one of the points that sets this movie apart, I think; it trusts its audience. The thing about the chemical suppression of mutant powers isn't made super-obvious, because it doesn't really matter to the narrative anyway (why Logan is losing his powers matters less than that it's happening, especially as a symbol of his aging and the fact that his cynicism and loss of hope has come to almost-completely dominate his personality). You can parse-out what's going-on if you can notice the right details, but it's not shoved in your face, which also makes the story-telling feel more natural and "slice-of-life"-like.
      A very sophisticated film on a bunch of levels, and exactly the "Godzilla 2014" "you can do all the "adult" stuff with this franchise, too" reminder than I think the X-Men series needed, as it was in danger of becoming a little silly.

    In reference to your comments about what happened when. You just have to go along with whatever movie or series you're watching. My opinion is that Logan takes place later but in a similar universe or timeline than the earlier movies. In the movies they usually only base the their stories on the comics and change anything they don't think works for film. To me the best example is the 3rd XMEN movie where Jean went evil. I loved the comic version and hated the movie. Also both film and comics will just start over and completely ignore what may have happened in a previous movie. They're preparing to start over with the XMEN now that Disney owns the film rights.

    Also we know from this film's opening scene that it takes place in 2029, and the dialogue and VO like the radio while they drive tell us that the "Westchester Incident" happened the year before, which would be in 2028. Deadpool throws a lot of that out the window, but since all of the X films so far happen chronologically earlier it could be possible that all of the events in this film are the end of the timelines we saw in all the previous X movies. They have a time travel-like event in Days of Futurepast, but it more or less resets things so the future in that movie doesn't happen (or really in Marvel terms, it becomes its own different timeline kind of orphaned from the main series)

    • @zimvader25

      Nothing wrong with the timelines and deadpool doesn’t affect this one. In this timeline the mutant gene was eradicated. That’s why no new mutants had been born in years and why THIS logan, charles, and calaban were all struggling. Because the government had their anti mutant chems in food and water like the US adds fluoride to theirs. It affected any living mutant as well.

      Lord. Deadpool & Wolverine starts 6 years ago but “ends” before Spider-Man Far From Home. That the events in Logan happen almost half a decade later is relevant but doesn’t matter in Deadpool because it “throws TL out the window” due to *Spoiler Plot Thing*

    This is my theory and that of many fans about Wolverine and Laura's resistance to Charles' psychic powers, it is adamantium. The adamantium in Logan and Laura's skull insulates their brain from the influence of Charles' powers to a certain extent, making an effect similar to Magneto's helmet. Also in the comics, Wolverine developed resistance to mind control after years and even decades of being abused with mind control techniques.

      Laura doesnt have an adamantium skeleton only claws. Its their healing factors

    • @beniyashasama8327
      @beniyashasama8327 21 день тому

      @@skarletfenrir6979 now that you mention it, she only has adamantium claws, but the healing factor I don't think is the explanation either, it could be in Laura's case, but Logan's healing factor is implied to be very weakened by whatever it is that he is poisoned. Is that weakened healing factor enough to resist Charles's psychic powers or are Charles's powers so weak? It may also be due to the type of mutation. Logan's mutation is more complex than simply the ability to heal. He has sensitivity or even the ability to communicate with animals, his sense of smell and instincts are very acute, and physically he is at least ten times stronger than an ordinary human being. It may be that the ability to resist psychic attacks or mind control powers is another abilitie of his mutation type.

    • @zimvader25
      @zimvader25 18 днів тому +1

      Lol dude it’s the healing factor. They literally explained this in days of futures past. It’s why logans conscious can be sent back because his brain can heal as quickly as it breaks. That’s why Logan and Laura aren’t COMPLETELY affected by Charle’s stroke. Their healing abilities repair the damage being done.
