3:09 I absolutely love the timing here. Mike actually being surprised that Spike is smoking inside Xander's house, followed by, "And you're what, shocked and disappointed? I'm evil," in response to Xander's shock that he's stealing his radio. His answer works for both of them 😂
I love the Giles chasing Walsh scene. It's another example of the Whedon juxtaposition. A character says something and then the exact opposite thing happens, or it cuts to the opposite thing happening.
Giles chasing Walsh will forever be in the Best Scenes category I love knowing where the story is going and hearing your theories about where the story is going. Anticipation while we wait for you to find out if you were right or way off base. 🤐🤫
I'm in the minority that likes Riley as Buffy's boyfriend. I suspect a lot of people are pissed that he kinda took Angel's place. But hey, Angel never punched Parker!
I never connected the prophesied rise of the demon prince with Giles becoming a demon. A mildly interesting twist if they were the same thing, but it's just as likely that it was stopped or captured by the Initiative, and doesn't seem to have any lasting consequences either way.
The Master should count like 100. The Mayor like 500. Stopping the various apocalypses should get a boots too. 2000 sounds like a nice round number. Another fun episode. Anthony Head, Giles, is fantastic in and out of his new form. Interesting that Riley was not informed of the surprise BDay party out of all of Buffy's friends.
The problem with Giles and The Initiative is the ongoing conflict between American and British culture. The Initiative isn't interested in anything that cannot be quantified and put into a computer, while Giles (and the Watcher's Council) is more interested in genuinely ancient lore.
@@732ReviewCrew Not sure about that. I mean, he had a perfect excuse to behave in an inappropriate, but really enjoyable way. Would you not take it, completely consciously?
Another almost too comedic episode! But it was fun especially where Giles chases Walsh down the street. Interesting juxtaposition with Giles having to seek the help of Spike. The Xander, Spike in the basement part painfully funny again. The body swops, personality swops, etc a current theme throughout the whole series for lots of characters. The interminable Ethan Rayne back again causing havoc. A decent little episode and great fun.
I think it is obvious from watching these reactions that Mikey needs to stop reading the comments as he seems to glean information here and could either get spoiled or he doesn't care about being spoiled because he wants a deeper knowledge of what the fandom thinks because he thinks it informs his commentary. Only problem is this method isn't as enjoyable as watching a straight reaction where the reviewer is completely fresh in the material at least imo
I am sorry I see different red flags from Riley. Despite evidence that he’s not in Buffy’s league he is convinced that he could compete with her and given time beat her. So no the not liking Riley has nothing to do with Angel
One of the funniest by Jane Espenson. “You were mythaken” . “Bugger I thought you’d gone” Giles chasing professor Walsh.
"Bugger, I thought you'd gone" cracks me up every time. RIP Robin Sachs.
Giles being petty over Prof. Walsh was the highlight.
It makes me laugh sooooo hard when he chases her in monster form, probably one of my favorite moments

Giles chasing Walsh down the street is still one of my favorite moments in all of season 4, hilarious! Great laughter from both of you haha!

My favourite moment of the episode!
And in this episode, a young man feels insecure when he learns his girlfriend's body count.
Oh my gosh didn't even realize
I love this episode. The Spike/Giles team up is a blast. It’s a fun episode and Ethan finally gets the karma he so richly deserves.
Me too, this is such a fun episode great for rewatching.
You gotta love an episode when Ethan Rayne makes an appearance! And I really LOVED how you two giggled at Giles chasing Maggie. 😂😂😂
RIP Giles's Citreon. You know it wasn't cheap to have that thing shipped to the states.
Why would a demon steal that car? Anya always keep me smiling.
I don't think it was shipped from the UK. It has the steering wheel on the left side.

There was no hinting in the rose scene with Tara and Willow. It's pretty obvious
I love how Mike laughed so hard in this episode!
Thanks guys. I like this episode a lot, very funny. Giles chasing the fishwife is definitely a comic highpoint.
I really enjoy your reactions. However, you edited out my favorite joke from the episode "you were mythtaken."
😭 Sorry friend
All good I have a ball watching your reaction to my favorite show.
It's a classic line
I'm in the minority that likes Riley as Buffy's boyfriend. I suspect a lot of people are pissed that he kinda took Angel's place. But hey, Angel never punched Parker!
He feels safer! That's for sure
I love this episode. It’s one of my favourites.
That fishwife?
3.14 is a very evil number.

As far as we know, only Spike escaped and he's never mentioned 314. How do demons know about it?
Fair point ...
We had telepathic demons before. Could be they can communicate with the outside?
@@johncampbell756 Did my comment just disappear?
I see a comment about telepathy and demons
@@732ReviewCrew I do not. YT again works in mysterious and frustrating ways.

Nick, from Nick Reacts, completely misunderstood that scene. You know which one. He thought Giles was trying to get Maggie's help.
😂😂😂 It was Giles giving into his instincts

Sorry you didn't like this one.
what are you talking about? They enjoyed it.
