Thank you for this great video. I have a list of lettering styles or tips I initially wanted to see when I got into it awhile ago: thick script lettering, 70s lettering, unique serifs, lettering on a curve or slant, and composition basics. I’d love to see your take on them.
@@myriamtit6625 That sounds really interesting but I'm not sure I know exactly what you mean. I have a pretty good idea but would like to be sure. Do you have a link to a reference or something like that?
Hey Carina! Thank you for the kind words :) I really appreciate it. For sure! Would love that. The wooden board technique was probably one of the biggest things that helped me learn and improve. Not just to draw letters but to look at them in a different way.
Thank you! That's a great question. I feel pretty stupid for not covering it in the video. So, I would highly recommend that you first draw out the whole word (or even multiple words if you have them) and only then apply the 3D effect. The reason for this is that depending on how "deep" the 3D goes, it might extend behind the 3D of another letter. It will also make the whole word drawing process more challenging in general. I would highly recommend that you first draw the word and then do the 3D. Once again, great question, and if you have more - don't hesitate to shoot :)

Thanks 😊 I want ribbon calligraphy and if possible acanthus\ornamental design

This is fabulous! One question. Do you do the 3D effect one letter at a time or do you write whole word then add 3D effect?🤔
