- I recorded this video early morning on New Year's day. It was the perfect tobacco blend for the occasion. I truly enjoyed it.
Apparently, this blend was smoked on & during the filming of the Lord of The Rings series, so it is only appropriate I smoked this blend on my Vauen Auenland The Shire Balbor Pipe.
Blend description.
Nougat is Peter Stokkebye's bestselling blend. Superior Golden African Virginias are combined with Burleys and mellow Black Cavendish then finished with a unique vanilla and chocolate essence to achieve the superb taste favoured by millions.
Blend: Virginia, Burley, Black Cavendish
Aromatic: Nougat, Vanilla, Chocolate.

Thank you Bartek. Not sure why but certain blends taste better on certain pipes & this type of blend tastes amazing on this pipe.
Really like that pipe will have to get one sometime, but for tonight I’m smoking a MM corncob long stem.🖖👍

You don’t have to worry about singeing your eyebrows when you light that pipe.lol. I have a Vauen pipe too but mine is the Eron. Looks really nice. Haven’t smoked it yet. I’ve been waiting to get pipe cleaners long enough to clean it. 👍😃
I guess you’re right Uncle Mike😊 the Eron is as well a gorgeous Pipe, just a smaller bowl if I’m not mistaken. I am certain it would smoke fantastic like the Balbor. As the extra long pipe cleaners are more expensive I now use 2 standard pipe cleaners and insert one from either side of the stem as they meet half way cleaning the stem perfectly. Problem solved😀

I'm currently enjoying Stokkebye 4th Generation 1882 and it's a great smoke. Not sure if you've tried it - it's an English mixture with the inclusion of Kentuckey leaf. Very rich and smooth.

PS24 is indeed a nice blend. It is well-crafted and does present a flavorful experience of nicely melded coatings and supportive native tobaccos. Generally, I find that Stokkebye aromatics are quite enjoyable. Also, I too smoke Old Toby only in a Churchwarden which seems most appropriate given the Hobbiton reference.
@jimpm4705. I agree, both blends smoke well on Churchwarden pipes, not only for the cooler smoke but psychologically it seems to taste better☺

Most relaxing watch Nathan hardly heard any flapping noise, mind you it has been windy lately. As for this blend I too enjoy this aromatic blend on occasion especially after a heavy meal instead of a dessert 😂 smoke king have it as Kentucky Maroon (Nougat) in loose. I am tempted to buy this pipe it looks good👍 btw Nathan when are you reviewing the Diplomat RTA on your vaping channel as i am holding on until i watch your review
Thanks Gary. It is indeed very tasty blend. The pipe is gorgeous and it smokes fantastically so smooth & cool, the good news it is not so expensive considering its size 😀. I am testing the Diplomat as we speak I might finalise my review tomorrow to be uploaded tomorrow evening or for Saturday evening not sure yet, will see how it goes. Anyway welcome back from Italy I hope you had a nice time.

Thanks Mark. Isn’t Dockworker & Haymaker blends by HU tobacco in Germany. I vaguely remember seeing these blends on estervals pipe house. What is your opinion on these 2 blends

They are indeed part of the HU output but I understand these two were originally manufactured by Dan (I might be wrong).
Haymaker is a pure (gorgeous) Virginia and a Virginia/Burley with a sweet chocolate in the case of Dockworker. I love them both and have stocked up as I gather they are to be discontinued. Another recent revelation is Sillem's Black - a beautiful creamy smoky delight of Latakia & B. Cavendish.
It's a shame these LOTR tobacco mixtures are so hard to find in Europe!
My mother gave me my grandfather's old Chacom Bermudes (Which I can't find any information about) after I told her about your videos.
Never smoked a pipe before and am quite happy to remain a vaper rather than a smoker, but I must say, I'm very tempted to give it a good clean and try to find a nice mixture to smoke on my balcony every once in a while. :)
Good thing you're not making videos on expensive Cigars, or I'd probably go bust! Haha!
It is a shame Nic. On the other hand there are many good blend available in Europe but not in the UK. Here is another example why Brexit was a huge mistake. I don’t want to go back to cigars for the exact reason you don’t want me to review cigars😀

As always great review and also great wind sounds, i have an answer why you don’t make pipe as all day? As you didn’t inhale smoke and it’s way better for taste delicious tobacco blends?
Thanks. Happy new year to you as well. I vape for nicotine & flavours of my METs and I smoke a pipe on occasion solely for tobacco flavour. Inhaling pipe tobacco is not what pipe smoking is all about.
@@TheVapingPiper i respect you opinion Nathan, but even if i am a NET vapor but sometimes i really need that flavor from pipe tobacco that nothing come close to it. Despite pipe smoking is known over 2k years. I am just sharing with you what i feel in my vape and pipe journey.
