    It's been almost 8years, I have wanting to become thin, rather dying to have a slim body. Today I accepted that if I am meant to be this way, till I die. So be it. Thank you❤️

    Thank you Tosha for all that you guide and share. I love thinking shifting my words of "giving up" to an offering. Offering up. Releasing that grasping self to receive. Mhmm.

    I feel most folks feel that one thing they "have to have" will make them whole if they get it. It is still all about the pursuit of wholeness, but it is contingent on that external thing to be/feel whole, versus having wholeness fulfilled internally through surrendering all to God/The Divine.

    Thank you so much for these beautiful words. I really need these reminders, I tend to open and close, grasping and non-grasping, and everytime I come out of a round of grasping again, I am so suprised, how it got me again :D And I really wish to grow more into the openess, the non-grasping, the attitude of service to the ONE. And your words are soooo good for me to hear right now, to feel supported in that way of being. Thank you for doing your work

    Tosha, I love your way of life - I ALSO love manifesting, trying to do it "God's way" also - not a Divine genie for wishes, but working as a cocreator to fully, deeply, dedicate myself to discliplined wonderful thoughts every day of best desirable outcome (and feeling/processing shadow emotions with my inner child/self as they come up).

    As an Italian, to "desire" something kinda means it's doomed from the start to me. The word itself comes from the Latin verb "desiderare" (de = against, sidera = stars), "to go against (the will of) the stars", to wish for something that may not be in the cards or even just "regardless of fate". As an astrologer, I couldn't agree more with how much harder each desire makes it for Life to unfold :) Thanks for making this video.

    • @MikkoHere
      @MikkoHere 5 років тому +5

      CaffeinatedSquirrel: Actually the "de" in "desire" in not the "de" in words like "detoxify" or "decaffeinate." In the origin of the word "desire" the "de" is used as a preposition in the Latin ablative sense: meaning "from", "down from" or "considering."
      So, "desire" means "from the stars," down from the stars," or "considering the stars." Originally "desire" meant not just any "want" (e.g. food, pleasure, comfort) but a deeper longing whose origin comes from something greater than the little person with petty appetites; a desire was something of a grander nature--from the stars, from the heavens, from the gods, etc. I'm sure, being the person you are, a little contemplation on this will reap some good insights. Buona Fortuna!

    God is speaking to you. So, when you feel the story of Jesus as special to you as a Jew that is Gods gift to you. Jesus was born from a Jew and died a Jew.... Its wasn't for decades after his death that his Jewish disciples could understand how God used Jesus to teach us all for infinity and beyond.

    Beautiful! Truly. I think that we need to embrace what shows up for us in life, not merely bypass the sufferings through ignoring the deeper wisdom contained within. We live in a culture which values being happy over being real. I'm not suggesting people should wallow in the victimhood of their suffering - and - I find when we are able to be still and listen to the messages inherent in the challenging situations we are presented with there is a wisdom we are able to uncover there.

    You have to see the movie The Young Messiah..... It is a fact based movie so it doesn't pretend to be engraved in stone per say.... but it speaks so eloquently to the story of Jesus told from the aspect of the innocence of Gods gift.

    I wonder, if the offering has to do with the Hanged Man in Tarot, for I see a lot of resemblance between them, how do you think?

  • @Floppyearsmomma
    @Floppyearsmomma 4 роки тому

    Interesting point. I am a conflicted Christian presently because I haven’t seen much of Christ in the Church. Anyway, lingo among our community that closely resembles what you say is called “dying to self”. We also call it “laying it on the altar” referring back to Abraham offering up Isaac or being “a living sacrifice”. Personally this type of philosophy is triggering for me. I was left with the feeling that my desires were always selfish. I think it’s a question of trust for me. But dreams do die, and the promise of the resurrection is a profound lifeline for those suffering through it.

    How about desire for healing of the body? It doesn't feel right to say, if I am meant to be well, I will.
