For something that was "experimental" for Bill and Bob - in that they were trying out different things to hear what sounded right to them - that song is so good it holds up to this day. Thank you, Bob, for taking the time to do the interview.
Watching various Cowsill performances on UA-cam, I've especially enjoyed the moments where they briefly talk about the history behind many of their songs; this in-depth interview on "Hair" was fascinating. I've love it if he did more of these types of interviews, or did ones that were interactive - I have so many questions about songs they've recorded, and songs he's written I would love to ask him. Thank you so much for posting this.
So glad to see this interview! I've always thought this record had phenomenal production value. And as a bassist, I can tell you that the bass part, rhythmic and yet fluid, really drives the song...just fantastic. BTW, Cowsills should be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame..just sayin...
