- Guys, I knew that the metro in Moscow, Russia would be nice, but I didn't it to be THIS nice. I was actually speechless. It was one of the most beautiful metros I've ever seen in my life and I'm saying this as a guy, haha. Insane experience. Which one was your favourite station?

same as in China, ppl are brought up to behave like a human being in public. Unlike Murica where one person can take 3 seats on an Amtrak train and not be ashamed of themselves, but being so proud because "i can do whatever i want" (which to me it means being uncivilized)

It's clean where no one throws trash! These people won't even think about throwing trash in the subway. They are well mannered and love their city.
That's what can be expected from conscious and respectful people in a civilized society!
This changed since metro management decided, for some reason, get rid of trash bins over escalators and outside the entrance, so now there is often some paper garbage on the floor. Not that much, but i dont get this decision. I had an empty drink can and had to carry it with me through the whole trip.

I think it's smart to not have trashcans everywhere. In your case if they had trash cans and the trash can was full, you may have just left the can "near" the trash can. Not saying you are not decent but using your case as an example.*

Mayakovskaya Station is also historical, as Stalin gave a historic speech there during bombing of Moscow (WW2).
Mayakovskaya was actually used as a bomb shelter during WW2. Also most of the older stations have sealing bunker doors in case of the fallout, strange that you didn’t notice them

My great-grandfather worked as an engineer at the Moscow metro construction.
Life wasn't easy back in 1930s, but people worked hard and believed in the better future, and today we can still see and use fruits of their labor with gratefulness.

I have seen a change that surprised me. I lived in Moscow. In the past, Russian people used to read books while using the metro or any other means of transportation. Now, most people use their mobile phones. I am surprised by this change. I have seen subway stations all over Europe including Canadian subway stations,but I have never seen better than Russian sub way ,we can say really , It is an underground palace.

homeless? According to statistic of World Bank, in Russia there are no homeless (they exist of course but amount is too small; more correctly to say they are vagabond, because homeless can get apartment from state by request).

Программа социализации у нас работает неплохо, всё в руках самого человека, было бы желание. Я лично знаю людей, которые поднимались буквально со дна. The capitalisr countries never made stations like that because they would not train engineers to make things for eternity or cooperate with artists for a Gesamtkunstwerk mostly on account of not wanting to pay artists to make beautiful things for the masses. Instead they get graffiti for free.

Карта "Тройка" это пополняемая Смарт-Карта по ней можно ездить на: Метро, МЦК, МЦД, Монорельс, Автобус, Электробус, Трамвай, E-Ship "Синичка" МРД (Московские Речные Диаметры); А еще сходить в Зоопарк и музеи!
Ого, про музеи впервые слышу, надо попробовать! На самом деле, я был удивлен, насколько тройка - функциональная карта. Когда несколько лет назад в моем родном городе запускали оплату картой общественного транспорта, то тройка тоже работала. Я лично ей оплачивал несколько раз. Потом, вроде как, отменили, но при случае, попробую, может опять получится. Для понимания дистанции. Тульская область ~ 220 км от МСК

Хочешь воспитать из человека почти ангела помести его в рай, хочешь воспитать дьявола помести его в ад! В СССР хотя не поощряли религию, но понимали значимость воспитания Человека! Отсюда для трудящегося народа строили дворцы культуры, театры, музеи, библиотеки, школы, училища, техникумы, институты и университеты с бесплатным образованием, окружали красотой и величием, также и метро поэтому построили как подземный дворец! Тем не менее, сейчас в метро все равно поддерживается стратегический запас продовольствия, медикаментов и всего необходимого в случаи использования его викачестве бомьоубежища. Более того, многие станции связаны напрямую со скрытыми входами в бомбоубежища, где хранится оборудование, жилые помещения, станции очистки воздуха и воды, отдельные глубокопролегающие скважины с насосами, для пополнения запасов воды. Просто обратите внимание, что на каждом входе в метро есть гермодвери, их можно распознать по металлическим листам/рельсам на пооу, на стенах, потолке.

Toronto's subway stations look like public washrooms. They are dirty, narrow platform, water sipping through the ceilings, not to mention the amount of beggars and mentally ill , violent people that stroll the subway platform.

I saw this Metro Station from a Canadian blogger who already moved there in Russia and it is amazingly beautiful and clean. There seems to be No visible dirty looking ceilings, graffitis and rats running around the station just like in . . . 😊

Обожаю облицовочный камень - родонит. Огромное пространство и несравненные купола, парят над тобой, а новый выход, просто невероятен по красоте. Там ещё много фишечек, говорят по ребру колонны можно с силой запустить моетку и она как по рельсам проскочит на другую сторону. Не пробовала😊.
Станция с цветными витражами называется Новослободская, а на станции Комсомольская бюст Ленина, а не Сталина.
Было приятно с Вами путешествовать, я болею и давно не спускалась в метро, а тут как бы вновь прошла по любимым станциям. Удачи Вам и новых открытий Москвы. I was the exact same as you the first time I visited Moscow, the subway is so beautiful. I agree with you about Moscow metro being a lot better than Paris, Paris metro is full of thieves. You can't even take your phone out of your pocket or bag incase someone tries to get it.

Actually that was statue of Lenin in the end. Most of Stalin`s statues were removed from public places after 1956.

People rejecting God and dancing to Satan's tune happened to the USA and most (all?) of the Western world. Now we are looking at the consequences of that choice.

If you want, next time you visit Moscow - i can get a pass for you to the Stroganov Moscow State University. I`ve been studying in this art academy. This is the oldest art institute in Russia. I`m sure, you would impress a lot) It is - homeland of everything you see in underground. Stroganov is located on station "Sokol", same line as Mayakovskaya (green)

New stations are lit too. Expetually when you take longest circle line in the world that opened up not long ago. Route 11. And route 14 is open route when super amazing views. And the airplaine station on the elevater on yellow 8A called Pihtino or Пыхтино before Vnukovo airport station. Its epic!😊😊😊😊
В арке на Маяковской надо было сделать знаменитый трюк с монеткой! Монетку можно кинуть вдоль пролежня на арке и она со стремительным звуком вернется на другую сторону арки. :)
