- Fort Lauderdale Travel Vlog! Join us as we travel to Fort Lauderdale prior to setting sail on the inaugural Disney Dream Cruise from Port Everglades!
We celebrated the start of the Christmas season by attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and left Walt Disney World for Fort Lauderdale. There are a number of hotels options near Port Everglades. For our pre-cruise adventure, we booked Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street. The hotel was conveniently located near the Port and there are a variety of shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance (Publix, Five Guys, TJ Maxx and so much more). We share a tour of our room. While the decor is very outdated, the room was clean and comfortable. A mini fridge and microwave are included. We enjoyed having separate spaces for the kids and ourselves. Breakfast was complimentary, and there were free beverages served during the evening reception hours as well. The hotel features a koi pond and swimming pool as well as an on-site restaurant. Transportation to and from the Port and airport is available for a fee.
We put our Level8 Cases to the test for this journey. Overall, we were pleased with the cases. We only wish there was an expandable option.
One of the highlights of our time in Fort Lauderdale was making the quick trip to Miami for a Dolphins home game. We were excited to see the game in person and to share that experience with friends. Go Fins!
We can't wait to share our Disney Dream Cruise series. On the morning of our sailing we were able to spot the ship in Port from Embassy Suites! We certainly hope you enjoyed the vlog as we enjoyed sharing our stay with you! Onward to our next adventure!

Yes that is what it's called Port Everglades. It is confusing not sure why it is not called Port of Ft Lauderdale but yes that is the port Disney Dream now sails out of Port Everglades. Thanks for watching
