I don't think it is scary. It might be because we use someone's voice as a trust signal. But if you see a photograph that doesn't make sense, you know it could be photoshopped. Similarly, people will have adjust their trust threshold for hearing a voice. It is the change people fear, but people adjust and change their expectations quickly after they get used to a technology.

I think, there should be a legal document signed pertaining full responsibility of generated audios to the user, letting OpenAI disclaim the ownership of generated content, making the user fully responsible and accountable for the damages caused. Those feeling insecure using their voices should also copyright them. Thank you

1. I don't understand why "AI" is the new buzzword for so many things new and technical. This process more likely uses Machine Learning, which has absolutely nothing to do with AI and is a field within statistics.
2. This has been convincingly done for years. But now it's what? A little better? A little easier? More accessible?
