Hey Jess. I have just discovered your channel through my love of Fears and this video was suggested to me. Having worked on Fears office and being based in Bristol I can tell you that all your saying about this company and the chaps who run it are 100% true. Nicholas is one of the most incredible chaps to know and also his right hand man, Richard is also a top chap. Have you made the trip here yet? If not I would love to extend my services to you and your wife for a full tour of Fears locations and the new boutique that has opened recently in The Clifton Arcade. As long as I have plenty of notice I can arrange visits to the shop and office.
My grail is the Fears Garrick. Take care.

Archival 1930 #41 says hello! Thank you for doing this video! Couldn’t agree more, this is a beautifully understated and elegant watch with an exquisite dial and unique throwback piece. Simply classy!

Awesome watch, been eyeing it for a while. Not much video content on this piece. Thanks for highlighting it. Although the movement is part of the whole archival series, I am one that would like to see modern movements in a classic watch like this.

The number is a Palindrome, reads the say both forwards and backwards.

Love your new watch. Congratulations. I had the pleasure of attending a Fears event in SF Bay Area and meet Nicholas. He was lovely. We were having crazy weather as well. He must bring it with him 😄. I hope to pick up a Fears watch this year.

Nicholas really is a true English gentleman and a truly interesting guy to talk to about his business. Good luck on your Fears journey, I don't think you will regret it.

In my opinion, the Fears Archival 1930 watch clearly outperforms the Carter Tank by a significant margin. The only dilemma I face is my hesitation to purchase a rectangular watch, despite my deep admiration for this timepiece. Internally, I find myself unable to press that elusive 'buy' button.

haha, yes I agree it's a stunning watch, which I love. Also agree a rectangle watch is against the grain, I do enjoy it - but it's not an everyday wear for me.

Can’t speak for all kids but my 8 year old definitely knows about WW2 - they go over it In elementary school. Great video, I too love a great brand story and love fears!
Been a big fan after finding your Panerai videos, these are great!

Oh thank goodness, good to hear kids are still being taught this history - admittedly the generational divide seems to extend to pop culture, so was hoping that the divide didn't extend to history and world events... Thanks so much for the support!

Learnt quite a few things tonight. Although now living in Melbourne I am originally from Bristol, so was pleasently surprised to hear that Fears is not just Bristol based, but has such a heritage. I have taken a look at their website. They have some nice looking watches, however the one that appeals most works out to be $50K. A a tad above my budget. May have to take a visit the next time I visit family

Ah it is the platinum watch you love? That's expensive I agree. I have seen it in the flesh and tried it on, such heft and class to it. Very understated.

Great video, great history lesson on a historical British watchmaker and even more surprising you like a smaller watch compared to your Panerais and Omega.

Thanks so much and for watching... so many great Aussie brands. I own a few Panzera's - good value for the money, but I would love a Bausele in my collection too, so definitely check them out. There's many more, but maybe start there. I'll have to do an Aussie microbrand video!
