Teddy, have you see the playbook about how to start a fashion microbrand? It’s pretty spot on to all the messaging we saw in those marketing ads: imgur.com/a/6CNO8
China brands improve more than 1000 percent for the last decade at affordable prices which you can own, while swiss watches that costs thousands of dollars to buy is insane
@@romybuenaventura3133 if by improve you mean get "better at stealing and copiing" you are right. show me the something invented by China in the watches world and i will consider it. meantime i will still buy my Seiko, Casio, Timex, Orient, Tissot, Atlantic and other affordable REAL watckmakers. nobody is forcing you to buy limited series Pateks. i will never understand people that are shrugging off real cheap and serious watchmakers and buy Chinesse copies. You buy yourself a pair of cheap copy of Nike from China and i will by myself some original Addidas - you wear them for one summer, i wear them for 5-8 years. You buy yourself a cheap Chinesse watch and wear it for 3-5 years, i'll pass my watch to my kid.
I own two Fillipo Loreti watches, and I love both of them. Their customer service was excellent, as is the quality of their timepieces. They are "Italian inspired", not Italian made, and it even states so on their website. With that being said, few people can afford the type of watch that typically amounts to a small down payment on a home or automobile. "Homage" brands offer a customer-friendly, affordable option to the so-called "luxury" market. Are all chinese brands worth the money? Absolutely not. I am speaking solely from my experience as a happy owner of several quality homage pieces that I have purchased over the last few years.
@@TruthbyDefault Yes, I have actually. My uncle owns a Daytona, Datejust & Milgauss. Safe to say, he's a Rolex nut, as well as one of the reasons why I love watches, yet hold the feet of the luxury market to the fire. While these types of brands are legendary, the pragmatic side of me realizes that it is just a watch & its purpose is to simply tell the time. The point that I was making was that one didn't have to spend that type of money to own a watch that tells time accurately and reliably. I have $29 dollar Casio watches that are as accurate, if not more so, that will never require servicing, nor will it require me to sell one of my kidneys to enjoy it on my wrist. After all, Bill Gates wears a Casio Duro. Quite a statement considering his wealth & status.
I used to work at a high end store, and a lady came in a bit frazzled and looked at our mens watches. (Which we’re not very good imo). She told me she was looking for a watch as a gift to her husband for her anniversary. She showed me a vincero watch on her phone and said that she liked it and another associate at a different store recommended it as a good brand. I asked her budget and she told me $3000 and she mentioned to me that he had a “Tag” watch. I told her to go to the Omega store down the road. I’m pretty sure I saved that marriage.
Damnit I was gonna write the same thing! Anyone who has some notion of italian would know the "ch" doesn't make the "shh" sound. It's quite hilarious that they can get away with it.
Apparently brands that “cut out the middleman” don’t need any distribution at all! No logistics, no shipping - they don’t even have manufacturers! The watch just manifests on your wrist when you buy it. Incredible innovation!
Lets not forget the biggest middleman of them all... Government mandated taxes. If they cut out that middleman, that's a good ~10% discount with variations to where you live.
It's always fascinating to see someone from a completely different UA-cam community commenting on a video like this. These watches are worth less than a can of Beijing Corn!
What got me into watches was Vincero. Saw their ad all over UA-cam, did my research and found out they were crap, bought a Tissot instead. Fast forward a couple of years, got myself a Tudor. Thank you Vincero!
Ya, I think your story is a classic one in men getting into watches. Same for me, but I decided not to take the final turn into the historically dominate luxury brands. Instead, what I was/am after is intrinsic value...I want amazing design & materials with workhorse movements...high-spec micro-brand watches around $400 - $1,000 are my sweet spot.
When any company says ‘we cut out the middleman’ it means ‘we couldn’t get any shops to carry our products because they are shit, so we decided to sell directly to the public to get rid of them’
Not necessarily. Depends on the brand and the product. Some things I'd rather have a authorized dealer network, others I'd prefer to sell myself. For something like cheap ass watches you're far better off selling them yourself but for a real high end watch I'd want a dealer network just because of the status of the item itself.
@@davidkonevky7372 exactly. They're the people sourcing their cheap watches from AliExpress, the selling them to people. They are *by definition* the middle men.
I fell for this crap a while ago, I bought a MVMT watch and within 6 months the strap was falling apart. Glad I found channels like yours to steer me in the right direction.
My rosegold strap just went back to copper. Thought it was my fault, now I know the quality sucks. Still good as simple additions to my outfits but that could have been accomplished by any other (cheaper) brand as well.
One of Vincero's commercial is a favorite classic! "Are you looking for a reputable affordable watch under $200"? I actually AM - and so after watching DOZENS of reviews all over UA-cam - I found Orient, Seiko, Casio and Citizen. I even found some swiss quartz - like Tissot and Victorinox. "Vincero"?! Yeah right.
Same thing I was thinking bro. For the money some people pay for these crappy watch brands, they could have bought a nice looking, good quality watch from the brands you mentioned. A few days ago, I picked up a Seiko chronograph SSB325 on sale for $150, and I even saw several automatic Seiko's that look really good for under $200!!!
I was out with a married couple one day. They were newly married and had gotten gifts for each other. She asks me what I think of the Daniel Wellington watch she bought him. I said, "it looks nice". That day haunts me forever...
If I was asked thar question I would just stay silent. Last week the wife of my brother on law bought him a technomarine..... I wanted to tell him he could have had so many great watches at that price range but I know better than to diss a gift.
I have a friend that is into Vincero watches, never even heard of the brand "Seiko". Couldn't believe it when he told me he didn't know the watch brand. What I do whenever someone doesn't know anything about watches is recommend different brands in a friendly manner (making sure not to diss their choices) and basically tell them that for the same price, there are a lot of high quality options worth looking into.
"What's important is you bought him the watch out of love and that's worth more than any watch out there in terms of sentimental value." "Aww thanks!" "It's still a shit watch though."
Thank you for this video ^^ I was honestly looking at MVMT watches and _liked_ the minimalism they had, if I hadn't stumbled across this there's a good chance I would've gotten duped by them like many others
Tell Vincero & better yet "RAYCON", ('CON' is literally in the name!), that you cut out are "cutting out the middleman" which is them and getting it direct from AliExpress!
My Citizen Eco Drive has been my daily watch for over 6 years now, I've been in love with it since I first saw it in the glass. Next week I'll be getting an Aquaracer.
When I started to get into watches, I almost put down the money to buy a Vincero. Since I was new to the game, their design really was the one the stand out. But thankfully my first entry watch was a Seiko Presage. Through some research and watching videos like yours. Really helped me to make an informed decision. If you are new to the watch industry, please take the time to do the homework and not let these predatory companies trick you into buying a trash product.
I just bought myself an Orient Mako II a little while ago as a birthday present to myself. I picked it because I absolutely loved the dial, the date complication, and the automatic movement. I don’t get the whole “minimalism” thing that these fashion watches are talking about. To me it just looks like an excuse for being lazy when designing the thing. Personally I like a watch that looks more complicated and unique. MVMT, filippo loreti, etc. all look like the first result on Google images if you search “watch.”
@@_nines8270 Mine is still ticking too! It’s been through hell and I’ve worn it every day since I got it, and it’s totally fine! I swapped out the band for a mesh one though, wasn’t a fan of the linked band it comes with. It’s accurate to about +/-5 seconds per day and I still love how it looks. Orient makes great watches, especially considering the price! Sometime down the line I want to pick up an orient bambino open heart. The open heart watches are SO cool, I love seeing the movement on the face.
If you think about the strategy most people that are buying them are just buying right from the ad. No additional research outside of that, the watches come to them and without the research, it appears like a great deal if these ads are all you see. If you look up any of these brands on youtube you will quickly find out that you are not getting what you are promised.
@@TeddyBaldassarre Agreed, personally, the best part of buying a watch, except for wearing it obviously, is the research, so many quality brands in each price range, so many cool designs, so many different styles, it's a big world.
At 47, I recall as a young child in the late 70s and early 80s I would walk with my mum to do some food shopping. Most days we would walk past the Rolex dealer. Back in those days, the watches were left in the window with no shutters overnight. I was captivated by the beauty and expense of them. Thankfully it always stayed with me and my introduction to horology was in an era where the Internet didn't exist.
I have a Timex I bought for $35 at target when I was in college that looks EXACTLY like a MVMT or DW watch. Every time I see those ads it kills me that people really buy those for $150 and think they're getting a deal.
When i was short on money but wanted a nice watch i ordered a Zeppelin watch at wish...i would've never ordered a watch at this shitty place but normally the watch costs more than 300€ here in germany but the one from wish is pretty nice for the month i've had it. Im sure its a fake and will eventually break sooner than an original one but i got it for 12€...and its nice. Imma not cry when it breaks for sure.
My dad once taught me a wise lesson: an oustanding product doesn't need a ton of advertising, because the reputation speaks for itself. If something is being widely marketed = it's most likely a result of bad sales... and bads sales are usually a result of a garbage product
We have a saying that goes somewhere along the lines of "better a titmouse in your hand than a crane in the sky". One could argue that there's still a difference between a titmouse and a rock, but could that be an earlier spin on alpha wisdom?
I always remembered how I found the Orient Bambino on Amazon while looking for a less costly alternative to a Daniel Wellington 😅 needless to say things have changed for me.
Perceptions and ideas about what people [think] they desire is always interesting and sometimes pretty scary. Just let that thought think in for a moment: An Orient Bambino is cheaper than a Daniel Wellington. What's even more scary, is that the Orient watch is not even close when it comes to how sought after it is among potential buyers across the globe.
I once bought a mvmt watch around 7 years ago when I was a broke student and wanted to get an affordable minimalistic watch. I felt scammed tbh. The quality was very bad, the leather strap got worn very fast and the watch just stopped working after a couple of months. It’s the first time I saw this kind of digital marketing campaign and naive as I was it won me over. It’s crazy to see all those other watch companies still doing the exact same thing and getting hard earned money from a lot of young and unknowing buyers, just like I was.
@@TeddyBaldassarre what's funny of course is that the designer is wearing a datejust/day-date but the end product is a royal oak and milguass hybrid 😂😂😂😂
The only thing these brands discovered is alibaba. It's comical to see the paid influencers talking about no middle man when they are the middle man for these brands lol
Crazy isn't it. I see watches on ebay for US$2.40 FREE SHIPPING that are junkier copies.... if these dumbos actually WENT on ebay or look at other watch reviews.... they wouldn't buy this other crap. But the pure fact that they can't even look on ebay first.... sucker born every minute.
Thank God we have a guy like you Teddy to keep us away from these brands. I remember buying an "Original Grain" watch back in the day after their debut just for the heck of it...only for it to start getting condensation inside randomly and falling apart and they said they couldn't help me or warranty it. It's losers like them that don't need to exist in the business. Thanks for doing all the hard work for us Teddy and being a true advocate for the business!
what confuses me about these fashion watch advertisements is that you'll often hear them say, "at an affordable price" or "under 200 dollars." But I can buy an Orient for less than 200 dollars...
Yeah I got a Vincero a few years back and it actually does get me compliments but it's definitely not what it has been hyped up to be in terms of quality. It wasn't extremely expensive but after learning more about watches you can do so much better. I'd say a Vincero is worth $50-75, they look nice but that's about it. A fashion watch!
@@cleverkitsune4302 Yup that’s what these companies do… target the uneducated with well executed marketing that. I didn’t even know what was out there, listened to the sellouts promoting the “garbage” watches and thought I was getting a good deal but I was soooo wrong. My Seiko 5 which was $50 and it’s the best watch I’ve ever had for the price. The Vincero actually got me into watches and it made me realise that I really have to do my research before making a purchase, I’m happy that I only made a $100 mistake and not a $300-$400 mistake 😂
@@mckiki4029 Made exactly the same Vincero mistake when I first got started. Tbh, for a hundred bucks, it looks great, nice strap and running strong after 5 years. Wont buy another but no complaints.
I fell into the marketing trap of "cutting out the middle man" or whatever BS and bought a MVMT watch. A few years later and a little wiser I still cut out the middle man by buying a Citizen, wait for it, directly from Citizen. My new watch was only $50 more but is several times the quality.
I was in the process of purchasing a $220 automatic orient kamasu, sapphire crystals, fantastic quality watch for the price, and happen to stumble upon a nice looking citizen for sale for only $70!! Both came in last week and I couldn’t be happier bruh. You can tell there’s actual care, even with a regular $100+ standard citizen than so many other brands. I’ll soon be purchasing a seiko in the near future
Good video. Earlier I actually considered to get a Vincero because they are really stylish, in my opinion. Now I will continue to stick to Citizen, Seiko, Tissot and similar. I think MVMT is the worst of these brands. They don't even look luxuary but cheap. A few years ago I ordered 4 cheap watches from China just of curiosity. The prices were between ~$1-5. One of them is exactly the black MVMT showed in the video. The only outer difference on the front is that it's labeled "DooBo" instead of MVMT. But the same red text color. By the way: a while ago I saw an advert from a (claimed) german brand called Lige. The watches looked good but not a single photo, all pictures were computer animated. I think that in itself makes it not trustworthy...
Zoltán, it's like comparing an Audi A4 - almost nobody compliments you for it, but it's a great car - versus a Kia Xceed - some say it's a wow looking car ... 😊
Can your ad have you hammering in a blacksmith, pulling off a welding mask, looking down at what you've been hitting with a big hammer, smiling, and picking up a flattened mvmt case?
Here’s an awesome name for one of these bootleg “Italian” watch brands: “LazamBorghini”... here’s their company slogan, “it’s sporty like a super car and delicious like pasta”
They say that the cut out the middleman, but these watch companies spend A LOT on marketing and advertising- money which if not having been spent could have gone into a higher product at a cheaper price.
You gotta love Valuchi most of all because they claim to be an Italian luxury brand and never even stopped to ask how the name would be pronounced in Italian. -chi in Italian makes a “key” sound, rather than a “chee”, which means someone just threw “Italian sounding words” into Google and threw the first one into the email to their Chinese manufacturer.
I guess they’re not only talking about luxury watches but luxury in general. It’s easier to find real luxury brands in Italy or France than in any other countries
Casio is a highly respected brand. They've been making excellent watches for decades. And their classic reissue models are dirt cheap. Cheap does not mean bad. A cheap schnob wears Filippo Loreti, a connaisseur wears a Casio.

@@jdrules23 Everybody is free to choose whatever they want. If you consciously choose a Filippo Loreti over a cheap Casio (which I highly doubt) then that's your prerogative and I respect that. However, those fashion brands prey on the unknowingly, not on us. That is: certain people think that their buying a "serious" watch because for the same money you can buy a Seiko or a Citizen. Those unfortunate people wear those to a wedding or, even worse, a job interview. They do not know that they are embarrassing themselves. Since watches nowadays are an accessory and not a necessity anymore and because they are 40 mm or larger and therefore VERY in your face they are the laughing stock of the part or they unwillingly make a bad impression at a job interview. That what's wrong w/ second rate overpriced brands. Its bad for the occasional buyer who spends his hard earned money on it.

My dad recently passed away from cancer and I inherited his watch collection. It is full of quartz goofiness that he loved (The Three Stooges, Felix the Cat, Popeye, etc). Though I am a mechanical watch fan, this is one of the greatest collections I have. I have so many memories of these watches. Though they aren't valuable by any means they have lots of value to me. These brands, are not going to be around forever nor will they have any "value" to them. They will always be cheaply made and recycled ideas from other well established brands. I would say, spend your money on what you want but there are better options out there that have at least a decent Miyota movement or say a Swatch Sistem51 that is a Swiss made mechanical that won't put a strain on your wallet! Great video Teddy! Glad to see you are doing well in a horrible year!
7:07 "hopefully the man wearing it is sexy too" I can't stop laughing at teddy's reaction 😂 who's seriously buying watches thinking that's gonna getting me girls?
That's because these pretentious watches suck, I got a TON of compliments on my "trash fashion brand" watches as you guys on this channel would put it. I do agree the marketing of these fashion watches is BS, I do agree that there are watches with probably better movement (which I don't get to see anyways unless I buy a skeleton watch). I only care about how it looks and hope they are of decent enough quality to last for some time. In case of a quartz I can just get it replaced
@@Sam-ko8mt that's such an influencer thing to say:))))) If it floats your boat - great! If you get compliments - which i highly doubt - good for you. I would be very mad if i bought one of these (i mean all of us probaby did in the beginning) for 200 bucks only to find out it's a cheap garbage costing about a couple of bucks to make. I mean there's nothing wrong with these watches per se for a couple of bucks. @@tommyboy71000 Dude if I like the product I don't feel like I am "duped". I understand the marketing is just marketing, I'm in business. I genuinly like the style of the watches I bought over most (if not all that I saw) of the more expensive ones. To each their own, but I do think most watch guys on the internet are pretentious as hell, you really think a lame looking rolex is worth 5000-10.000? It isn't to me and I gladly wear my Vincero green marble watch over it. But if others are willing to pay that much for such a watch then I'm fine with that; it's not my money nor my style Oh, and btw I like the style of my watches over the citizen/seiko/fossil watches too. You would call those "better options" but theyre not better if they look less nice or awful. And I buy my watches for me, not for compliments. And you may doubt i got them, but I did. By 'normal' people, not 'watch people' like on this channel who have very dissimilar taste to mine
@@Sam-ko8mt like i said - defending it does not make it better. But it's a subjective thing - the taste. Quality is not. Lame Rolex have been making watches for like 100 years and i think for this time people assembling these things by hand and while doing that reshaping and redifining the industry deserves a little credit. I would think so. That's why it's considered luxury. Fashion watches are not luxury like they claim to be. They're junk pretending to be something else. And that's an additional point. Genuinity! Everybody is lying these days. It's become a norm. Influencers lie, the brands lie, everybody lies just to make a quick buck. All the time the quality and reliability is going down the hill. Fashion watches are just the consequence of bombarding people with ads to sell junk. And it's working so long til you start doing a bit of research. But that's not everyone's cup of tea. Like i said - fashion watches have it's own place in the market. And if you buy that on sites like aliexpress etc., pay like 10,20 bucks, you got yourself a proper watch my friend. Maybe it will last, maybe it won't, but at least you pay what you get. It will probably be a knock-off of many brands and watches, but that's the chinese business model. The same can be said for a cheap Casio with one distinction - they've been around for many years, sold millions and millions of watches to happy costumers. They are what they are - not pretending to be luxurios. They don't make exaterated claims about how your life will change after buying this watch:)))) Call me oldschool, but i'm big on that - provable time of making quality products. I fell for this sort of thing freshman year of college when I was just starting to put myself together more and get into fashion and watches. Got a Daniel Wellington which, as meh-quality as it is, has a soft spot in my heart because without it I wouldn't have gone down the road to learn more. (Also other college kids knew just as little or less about watches so I still got tons of complements)
Interesting! No, I mean that. I got an MVMT watch some 2-3 years ago, and honestly I love it. It still looks new (aside from the holes in the wristband getting a bit worn out) and works just fine. I've only needed to change the battery once so far, as the original battery held up for just over 2 years. It tells the time accurately enough (it's off by about a minute maybe once or twice a year.) Despite it being a type of watch that can't handle water well (it's not supposed to, it has a low level rating) it hasn't gotten any water damage, but then again I also don't subject it to water. Regardless of the brand, I think it just makes sense to take care of your watch. Also, I'm actually amazed that this watch has lasted me this long and is still going strong. Because all of my prior watches broke literally two weeks after I had bought them. I almost thought I had some kinda watch curse on me lol. So this bugger holding on for years feels like a miracle to me. And I've been wearing it pretty much every day. I realize now that maybe I was just lucky, or maybe I can't tell quality from shit. Both are absolutely possible as I really dunno shit about watches, and I get that my experience is not universal. As for the design I like how it looks (obviously, or I wouldn't have bought it) and I don't think it looks cheap at all. It has a golden (likely steel or other metal gold-plated) frame with a black face and brown leather strap. Nothing too fancy but it looks classic and I do get a lot of compliments for it. Even my dad was impressed and he's never impressed by anything I wear. Does that mean my MVMT watch is super high quality luxury stuff? No, I really can't be the judge of that. But I think it means that it can't be absolute bottom of the barrel crap quality, like all my previous watches must have been, at least not this particular item, and at the very least it means that it's good enough for me. That said, yeah I agree that their marketing tactics are awful, but I always knew that. I just thought "this is what companies do nowadays to sell their shit" and didn't think much of it. I come from the mindset that all kinds of ads and marketing is probably just scam, so I never listen to that part of any company, or at the very least I take all advertisement with a huge grain of salt. So was I scammed? I wouldn't say so. I didn't expect a rolex. But in actuality, this watch has exceeded my expectations by far. Especially since I only paid some $100 for it. But I still don't think companies should be shitty. So while I love my watch, I kinda doubt that I would buy from that same company again. So I think this video highlighted an important issue regardless of if you like these companies' watches or not.
@@Sam-ko8mt You basically don't like watches then... the vast majority of dive watches are based on the Submariner. And ugly how? Like which ones? I am not a fan of the diamond encrusted flex pieces. But the Rolex Oyster case design, (like in the Oyster Perpetual or Explorer I) is objectively a tasteful and proven timeless design. It is such a culmination of the entire history of watch design, it's almost as general as saying "I think cars are ugly". Or even just the generality of saying "I think Rolex is ugly"... Awesome video, great that you expose these lofty claims of these lofty brands. Long before I even worked with watches and when I was still a student, a friend of mine showed me his MVMT watch proudly. But I was already into watches and I immediately knew that this watch was only worth the marketing at its price point. I also remember when a friend sent me a link about the "revolution of Filippo Loreti". All these friends of mine are rather business men with more economic interests than being emotional about watches and their heritage or built quality. And that's what the founders of these brands are as well, they only care about the business, good marketing and the profit. Unfortunately for them with the "business case watches" they have stepped on thin ice, encountering a strong emotional and caring watchfam and I'm so glad that videos like yours might show people like some of my friends and others the truth behind their shady marketing and open the door to the real watch enthusiasm. :) Cheers!

What are your views on Diesel watches ?
Teddy, have you see the playbook about how to start a fashion microbrand? It’s pretty spot on to all the messaging we saw in those marketing ads: imgur.com/a/6CNO8
A spoof would be EPIC

Fillipo Loretti, Italian luxury brought to you by Lithuanians direct from China
@@AAndrews1968 bruh, something tells me you've never held a rolex in your hand...

Excellent choices, and both (relatively) reasonably priced!
Ya, I think your story is a classic one in men getting into watches. Same for me, but I decided not to take the final turn into the historically dominate luxury brands.
I would love to check Monta watches in person. Some of those claims are real for very few companies.

My rosegold strap just went back to copper. Thought it was my fault, now I know the quality sucks. Still good as simple additions to my outfits but that could have been accomplished by any other (cheaper) brand as well.

I continue to be amazed that folks throw their money at for profit companies who are developing new products, most of which are not actually innovative or original.
The best part of that Valuchi video was the watch’s designer wearing a Datejust on his wrist.
FAKE. you betcha
🤣🤣🤣👍
7:07 "hopefully the man wearing it is sexy too" I can't stop laughing at teddy's reaction 😂 who's seriously buying watches thinking that's gonna getting me girls?
You’d be surprised
It’s funny how all these people get compliments yet I can only recall a couple times anyone has noticed any of my watches.
Yeah, nobody cares whats on your wrist. They know how to sell this crap though!
I understand it's a tough pill to swallow you've been duped. But it happens many times that people would rather defend their poor choice than admit they were duped. It's called cognitive dissonance and it's quite common these days.
I would be very mad if i bought one of these (i mean all of us probaby did in the beginning) for 200 bucks only to find out it's a cheap garbage costing about a couple of bucks to make. I mean there's nothing wrong with these watches per se for a couple of bucks. But to market them as luxury items at gazillion % profit margin and claiming they have the same quality and heritage as 100 year old brands - that's another thing. We're here just to inform of better options. But it's your money - spend it at wil:)))))
But if others are willing to pay that much for such a watch then I'm fine with that; it's not my money nor my style
Oh, and btw I like the style of my watches over the citizen/seiko/fossil watches too.
They don't make exaterated claims about how your life will change after buying this watch:))))
Call me oldschool, but i'm big on that - provable time of making quality products.
I see influencers for what they are - prosstitutes for everything that brings them money. And these lying brands are a natural match for them. Win-win for everybody except for the customers:)))))
I wear a Rolex Milgauss as the daily. I only have ever gotten compliments from people who know. Same with my Nomos.
It's a little depressing how slick marketing trumps quality.
Nice looking watch > watch with a "good" movement
That's the case for most people, me included
"A diverse team of creative millenials" that tells you everything you need to know 🤣🤣🤣
Seemingly wearing a Rolex Datejust!
That should be enough to bankrupt this brand overnight. Vulgar.
Hilarious. I laughed when I heard that.
hahahahahaha
If I drank a shot for every time they say "cut out the middleman" in these ads, I would probably be dead by now
Or on liver number 2.
Or "disrupt".

Rolex watches are ugly imo
@@Sam-ko8mt You basically don't like watches then... the vast majority of dive watches are based on the Submariner. And ugly how? Like which ones? I am not a fan of the diamond encrusted flex pieces. But the Rolex Oyster case design, (like in the Oyster Perpetual or Explorer I) is objectively a tasteful and proven timeless design. It is such a culmination of the entire history of watch design, it's almost as general as saying "I think cars are ugly". Or even just the generality of saying "I think Rolex is ugly"... Rolex is a brand. That has made many millions of watches for over 100 years. The likelihood that you find every. single. one. to be "ugly" is asinine. And I maintain that if that is the case, then you just don't like watches.
@@Sam-ko8mt ugly? 😂
@@dpearson80808 nah just a generic dial that oyster, perhaps it's generic cause they get copied a lot but I don't like them. There is no "objecive taste" btw. I do like watches, but ones that I think look good. But if you like Rolex that's fine

I imagine that laugh to be similar to Santa's jolly "Ho-ho-ho!" Except with No.
What do you think of brands like spinnaker and AV-8? Nothing fancy but it’s how I got my start.
The sad thing is, I get wayyyy more compliments on my Vincero than my seiko, and it makes me feel dirty
Who cares about the opinions of other people. Its about knowing the quality of what you're wearing, most people wouldn't bother to research which watch brands are good quality and which are junk.
Time to buy a Jacob & Co

“Creative millennials” red flag RUNNNN
I was thinking the same thing
Guy who makes the channel youre watching now is a creative millenial. Were also buying seikos and nerding out on watches.
Its just kind of a lame joke at this point. I am 30, and that makes me a LATE millenial. Im 5 years shy of gen z.
It just doesnt land the same when you realize that millenials now have children who are not children anymore either.

I need you to make the Italian watch “cutting out the middle man” spoof and I promise to watch it daily...
The only time a person has ever complimented me on a watch was When I had a Casio Mudmaster on .

Hey Teddy, Thank you for your videos. Really appreciate the detailing. Can you make and exclusive video for Watches like Obuku,Swatch,Orient, Skagen and other similar watches. which are not usually talked about.
Isn't the point of luxury to be expensive?
cuz by definition
luxury: an inessential, desirable item which is expensive or difficult to obtain.
Thank you!! Rolex, patek, Bentley, rolls Royce.
Yep, luxury by definition can't even be affordable
They do go hand in hand. But when a watch cost as much as a luxury supercar then someones pants have been pulled down. The watch industry is heading for a die back and the people that are paying 5k for just date have been made a fool of. There are a handful making high end high art watches in the world like FPJ and Bovet and urwerk all the rest are scarcely better than this crap.
well it is expensive for the trash you're buying with these social media brands. so its hard to disagree. Imagine the luxury of paying $150 for a $5 movement? That's luxury! More affordable at $10's thats for sure, you're paying the "luxury" tax of 2000% mark up.
One good thing about fashion watches is that they can get you into watches, at least that’s what happened to me
You're right, that happened to me as well so I can be more careful in purchasing my next watches in the future.
I actually have a Vincerno lol, my wife bought it, I actually like it, it looks and feels great. Bought in 2021 vs 2014 when you said you had yours so maybe they’ve improved a little?
You totally should make a spoof!

@@TeddyBaldassarre Of course, cool video! And I don´t mind AP ads, there´s some sense in them too. :)
:) Cheers!
