Possibly the most powerful amp in our "Chinese Mini Amp Invasion - Part 2" round of tests? Let's check out the TDA7498E, rated to deliver 160x2 at 4 ohms, with a 36 volt input. Further checking shows this rating is at 10% THD and the 1% THD rating is 125x2. As we expect today with amplifier ratings, show a misleading number to attract potential buyers...but for under $20 USD, should we expect anything more?
Watch me show off the amp, perform a sound test then put the palm-sized TDA7468E on the Amp Dyno to check it's true output at both 1kHz and 40Hz. Will it perform up to par or is it just another overrated amplifier? Gotta watch to find out!
