Everytime you run payroll, Gusto withhold the taxes portion of the employee and employer and remitted to the agencies and IRS I can help you with this if you need assistance
So if you’re the owner of the business you have special tax exemption status? That doesn’t make sense that as an owner you don’t have to pay taxes. I think you should be selecting “no.”
So, I am looking at options since Quickbooks Desktop is (1) moving to a subscription model and will be significantly more over 3 years and (2) forcing Quickbooks Payroll users to move to that subscription model. One piece of my thinking is that if I switch OFF of QBooks payroll (to Gusto after looking at a few reviews) then we don't HAVE to switch to QB Desktop 2023 and pay $800 annually to meet our needs instead of just $300 for a QB Desktop that doesn't need to be upgraded for three years (as it has worked for us in the past). 1- How well does Gusto work on the calculation (maybe automation) of paying the payroll taxes to Fed & State? 2- I presume that our existing employee health plan/deductions/payments is fairly easy to deal with?? 3- Does Gusto charge extra for the Direct Deposit option? (I feel like when I first started QB Payroll, that was the tier above what we used) 4- Paystubs intuitive and easy to retrieve/manage? 5- Easy-ish Federal quarterlies for no extra fees? W-2s & W-3 included too? I feel like I know what I am getting with QB payroll, and if I am going to jump to Gusto to "give QB the bird" I want to know ahead of time where the gaps are.
You can setup through your bank account ach only no invoices or credit. But they do offer a lot of benefits and credits depending on the type of business account you get with gusto or if your a accountant.
Unfortunately no via Gusto it can not be done, I use to work with this great payroll provider and I use to assist clients to run their payrolls. If you need assistance please le me know I will happy to help you.
I could not find any way of setting up my single owner S-Corp with a "30% of all the earnings" will be how I pay myself for the Reasonable Salary that IRS requires S-Corp. Have you seen anything like that?
@@zacharywhite5863 I ended up setting the rate at $25.00 an hour and depending on how much I made, whatever the 30% came to, I did the math to find out how many hours @ $25.00/hr it would take to make that much and enter that every two weeks.
This video is very helpful and I know that this guy is likely very busy but it's sad that he doesn't take the time to answer questions. Most of these are very good questions that would really help me if there was a reply from him. 🤦♀
