  • Making A Battery Tray - Honda GL650 Build In this video I take you through how I make the battery tray for the current GL650 build to fit the Anti Gravity 8 cell lithium ion battery I commonly use for these bikes. I placed it under the bike where the original exhaust crossover would go for a really clean look. The tray also has a provision to hold the modern starter solenoid I am using. I also show you how I make my battery cables using some 6g and solder. I hope you are enjoying the build and the videos!

    Good job! Building something that looks good, but also is easy to take apart or off so it can be serviced is the mark of a craftsman in my book. Keep up the good work. Honestly I was so focused on the bracket I didn't really notice any jumping around timewise. 👍

    Looking good. Would you consider drilling a hole in the skidplate to avoid water accumulating there? Looks like water can get trapped there with the rocker you got going on. At least something I would consider here with the Dutch weather

      Thank ya! I doubt this will ever get ridden in the rain but that wouldn't hurt to have a small drain just in case

    Not sure if you’re still following some comments on these videos, but when you were working in your (older) shop here, how would you bend sheet metal? Did you have a brake setup or did you go old school torch and bend?

      I actually show my process in my electronics tray fabrication videos. Mainly a small break but also vise and hammer

    Great video. Is there any reason why you dont lay the battery flat? I look that you could save some space then...

      Thank you. If it was flat the battery wouldn't fit in the spot I have it

      Let me rephrase my previous reply. If it were flat it would be closer to the exhaust and has more exposure to heat even if its .0001%. I've done it that way before and wanted to try this way with this specific type solenoid layout.

    Great stuff. Is it going to be painted black or florescent green? 🤔

      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 роки тому

      Just black. It's already back on the bike for good!
