What Is Alibaba, Is It Right For You, And Is It Where You Should Get Sublimation Blanks?

- Hey, and welcome! In this episode, we’re going to do a quick Alibaba tumbler unboxing, but
more importantly, we’re gonna talk about what Alibaba is, what it isn’t, and if it’s right for you.
We’ll get into the types of e-commerce businesses you may hear about, answer Facebook Group questions, do an unscientific comparison of my Alibaba suppliers tumblers along side some name brand tumblers, and lastly, take a quick look at the Alibaba website.
My go-to Alibaba tumbler supplier is Sichuan Locusts Network Technology Co., Ltd., and my rep is Chloe Peng. I HIGHLY recommend her! Here’s the link to the supplier:

If you’re interested in ordering from this supplier, join Chloe’s Facebook group. Not only can you talk directly with her (always use Alibaba.com for actual invoices and financial transactions), but you can see all the positive comments from customers who’s ordered from her. Once you join the group, you can message her for specifics. They have 3 U.S.A. warehouses and of course their main facility in China. You can get product from either U.S.A. or overseas.
If you only want a few tumblers, you can get them from RTS Sublimation blanks. They’re super nice and ship FAST. They’re my go-to place for trying out new products. Here’s their website:

And in a pinch, I’ve ordered these tumblers from Amazon and love them. I’ve heard some people have issues with sublimating Amazon tumblers, but I’ve personally used these, and they sub great. And, they only come out to $8.25 each:

I order from alibaba a lot…verified, trade assurance and 97% or above delivery time is what I look for. I’ve learned in the craft world, people are funny about sharing their vendors and actually sell their vendors list.

I ordered 25 tumblers from them, because you recommended them. They came within a week. They came from their USA warehouse. I’m looking to get the glass jars with the bamboo lids now. The process was good.

I’m glad I answered your questions. Since I released that video, some things have changed a little bit. A lot of the distributors that distribute through Alibaba now have US warehouses. The downside is, because they’re not going directly through Alibaba, you don’t have the Alibaba assurance. However, their prices are almost as cheap, and you can get your shipment in 3 to 6 days. That’s all I’m using now, as it’s just so convenient, and I don’t have to carry a larger inventory. Plus, I was able to use my contact when going through Alibaba for the US warehouse, so I knew I could trust her. Thanks for watching!

That’s great! Continue to be cautious, but as long as you keep everything within the Alibaba umbrella and make sure they’ve been around a while and have good ratings, you should be fine!
love alibaba! i found the sweetest distrubuitor!! i just bought a case of 50 tumblers AGAIN. i have bough the frosted ombre glass cans, glass tumblers, and regualr tumblers. they are GREAT!

Hello Roy this is very informative. I also use AGH and Emery is my rep. and she is great. I also have learned that it is also wise to have a backup suppler, because I needed to order a product and they have sold out.

Hi! Thanks for sharing all this information with us, and I hope one of these days I'll be able to purchase larger quantities from Alibaba! I saw a previous video that you had purchased sublimation mugs from Heat Press Nation before. I recently purchased their Sublicraft mugs, but the mugs I received had a faint, dull yellowish discoloration on the top and bottom of the handles. The rest of the mug was a shiny bright white. Have you had this issue before with HPN or any other suppliers with sublimation mugs? I contacted HPN, but they told me that the very faint yellow is common, and it is not a manufacturing flaw. Unfortunately, they will not pay for return shipping. Thanks in advance! 😢😢😢
Marie, I have never heard of this! I get SubliCraft mugs from HPN, and I’ve never noticed a discoloration on the mugs, handles or elsewhere. Most of my designs are black text on solid white mugs, and I’m sure I would notice a discoloration. I haven’t. Did you talk with someone or communicate through email?
When you are making a larger quantity of tumblers, do you use your press for them? Do you think you could heat more per hour with your convection oven?
Absolutely, I could heat more per hour by using the oven! For me, though, I’ve found a good routine with the press and like not having to add the time and cost for shrink wrap or additional taping. (Some people can get great results in an oven without additional tape or shrink wrap. I am not one of those people!) Currently I’m only using the oven for the bullet tumblers and a couple of odds and ends Dollar tree tests. Thanks for watching!
I couldn't find on the supplier's (Alibaba web) the 20 OZ skinny tumblers for the price you mention on this video. 11:16 time you said $2.60 each? I may be looking at the wrong one. : /
Hey, Jessica! The price is before shipping. You have to add about $1.50 per tumbler for shipping. Search the company I mention, then contact them and ask for a quote. At the price differences some of the suppliers are offering in the US warehouses, I’ve actually been ordering from there lately. It’s a few cents more, but it’s super fast shipping and I don’t have to order as many all at once! If you’d like more info, just join the Facebook group! I’ve used this Company before (recently) and unfortunately received not so good 16oz frosted glasses. Also my Tumbler lids were defective. Same Company but different rep and my orders shipped from US Warehouses. Have you ever received a bad batch? I’m thinking maybe I just got unlucky 😏
Ima, I’m so sorry to hear that happened. I’ve not had any issues with this company, and most of the people I’ve talked with have had positive results. I do know the frosted glass cans in general have been an issue for some people, but not from any specific supplier. Thanks for watching!

Do you recommend the rubber bottoms? I didn’t get them with my order. Should I invest in them?
Often times case purchases of tumblers don’t include rubber bottoms. I try my best to include them, as I just think it adds a nice touch (and helps me justify charging a premium!). I happened to order 300 extra the last time I ordered directly from China so when I buy from the Alibaba US warehouses (that often don’t include rubber bottoms), I can still include them.
