Wish I knew about Reolink doorbell cams before I bought my ring. Selling the ring and waiting for my Reolink doorbell to come in. Yes it connects to your nvr (if you have one) poe or by Wi-Fi. This is gonna be awesome, person detection, 24x7 recording and better camera, no subscription required. Up yours ring a ling ding dongs 😊
They are extremely hard to beat for the price. My biggest critique would be with the app and some shortfalls in features. As far as camera quality and function they are fantastic.
pissing me off. having very difficult getting to connect to my phone after i have installed the app. keeps saying device not connected, but that it already exists when i click add device and scan QR code
@@benjaminrender517 yea, I was having issues with this reolink doorbell as well, I eventually moved on to all eufy cameras. I've has a great experience so far and it's been a little over a year.
Hi there. Hopefully you’re still monitoring messages on your old videos. I just got this video doorbell, but I already have an old non-smart doorbell installed at the front door. What is that flat plate that you got at Lowe’s and how did you mount your angle bracket to that?
I no longer am using the reolink doorbell camera but I believe the plate you are referring to was just some type of random doorbell plate I found at my local hardware store. Your probably best to take the mounting plate you want to use with you to the hardware store and find somthing that will work with your intended install. I wish I had a better answer for you. 😕

My situation is a bit complicated because the old doorbell has a huge hole behind the plate and the some sort of electrical box in there and the mounting holes don’t line up with the angle bracket or the mounting plate, Have to pay Lowe’s a visit in the morning to see what I can rig up.
@@jsonlee01 yea you probably have a typical electrical receptacle box so it should be pretty easy to find a blank plate that you can modify to work. Good luck 🤞
I just got this doorbell cam (wifi version) to add to my other Reolink outdoor cams. So far loving it, but in Clear mode it drops connection after a few seconds of Live View, Playback, and Downloading videos (my other Reolink camera with weaker WiFi has no issues in clear mode). Using fluent mode as a work around. Do you have this issue? ** I'm already working with Reolink support. Just wondering if anyone else was having this issue, maybe just needs firmware update.
I think it is a bug. When I first hooked it up it automatically connected to 2.4ghz and seem to be doing what you described. I then connected it to my 5ghz and it has worked perfectly. Hopefully this is something Reolink can fix with a firmware update.
Does the Reolink Doorbell connect to a Reolink NPVR with Ethernet and POE? Meaning, can this act as another Reolink Camera on a Reolink NPVR where I have 4 other Reolink cameras connected?
Thanks a lot for this video. I noticed when you pressed the doorbell button you got a notification on the tablet that you had to press to open the live video. Is there no option for it to open live video automatically? I’ll be installing reolink doorbell soon and will use a tablet as an intercom so it’s important that the live video open by itself.
@@grrahul with the eufy you have the option to see the motion event or the live view when motion is detected. If the it's a doorbell press it goes to live view.
@@T_B_C_Lcool by any chance, have you done a similar video for eufy? For reolink, I’ve been reading up that I’ll have to use an app like macrodroid to automatically open live view when the notification is received.
@@grrahul I have not for the eufy. I'm not sure if you already purchased the reolink but between eufy and reolink, I would recommend the eufy wired doorbell over the reolink. Previously to the reolink I had the ring pro and that doorbell camera worked great. Only issue was it was only 1080p cloud based. The reolink and eufy have local storage option without subscription fees like the ring did. Now the reolink worked pretty good and the picture quality was excellent but unfortunately It had a tendency to not record or notify me on motions from time to time. It would also not ring the chime on a doorbell press sometimes causing me to miss someone at the door. The reliability was just not there. I initially purchased the battery eufy doorbell and had similar issues like the reolink. I almost gave up on eufy because to me the most important camera is the doorbell camera. In a last attempt to solve this issue I purchased the dual wired eufy doorbell and will say I've been happy ever since. The dual wired eufy doorbell has the reliability of the ring pro and the clarity of the reolink. I've switched all my cameras over to eufy 6 months ago and I have no regrets. I do plan on making a 6 month with eufy video soon to talk about my experience. hope this helps 😊
@@gdr88 there are security risks with anything that is accessible outside a local network. I understand why some may stay away but for me I'm not concerned as most my cameras are ring and that's about as bad a security risk you can have. Currently I have ring, reolink, and wyze cameras. I just wanting to be able to use one manufacturer with one app. For my sake I hope it works out. 😁
After having a fold 3 and now the 4, I don't think I can ever go back to a regular phone. Plus my eye sight is not what it used to be so the bigger screen helps a lot.

Unfortunately no, but the little chime it comes with is just as loud if not louder than my original one. So honestly in my case it's kind of irrelevant. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much! It looks like your existing doorbell transformer had the correct AC or DC voltage and amps, you didn't have to rewire anything.

So this requires ac power. Not an option when the house was not wired for a doorbell
It does come with a power supply that can be ran to a recepticle to power the unit.

I personally don't have a pvr but according to the documentation, yes you can connect it to your reolink pvr.

I did not add anything to the existing chime. I just removed my ring doorbell and installed the Reolink.
Reolink need to add a battery to their Wi-fi model...come on Reolink!

Where dit you apply the power?
I used the existing doorbell power. I didn't rewire anything from my previous ring doorbell. I just removed the ring and installed the Reolink.
Is there a right way to conext the electric cabels to the bell or just conect them not any special
