My friend carries this brand in my local running shop. You've got me curious to try these! Thanks Chris!
Never tried any of there daily trainers but the flame / flame RS is a great 5/10k shoe. Also proven on the world stage, as worn by a bronze medalists in the Olympics (female triathlon).
Great review Chris, definitely going to check them out. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Michael
I have the 361 Flame ST. Amazing shoe. Very stable and popy.
Thanks Chris, I'm not familiar with that shoe down this way. Always nice to learn something new.
I hope everything is going well with Brighton training. Take care and good running, Cheers! Phil
Managed a 40 mile week this week, so things are definitely on the up
The original 361 flame is a great shoe. Won the Brighton trail marathon wearing them. They are extremely durable for a racing shoe.
Trail marathon 😳 I know the grip was good but never thought of using them on dry trails. Well done on the win 👊
Will look into this. Thanks Chris 👍
What size are you? If you’re 11 you could try out my original ones
@@ThatRunningGuy I'm only little! size 9 😩 thanks though matey 🏃
I am heavily overpronate and I bought original 361 flame recently..feel good though and I think this is the only plate shoes which suits those who need stability for their run
Definitely, the foam in super shoes is just too soft! Especially Nike Vapourfly’s
Thanks for the review, how is the feel on the heel? Is it rigid? I'm asking as I prefer very soft or no heel structure to avoid pressure on my achilles
I had Achilles issues over the years. I’ve never had any issues with them as they’ve got a nice foam strip in the heel counter were the Achilles sits. The heel structure is flexible at the top and firm as it goes down
Firm heel. I love it. No heel slip at last.
Which do you personally feel more natural in, the 361 Flame or the 361 RS. I have two pairs of the Flames due to one being my normal size 10 and the other going a full size down being slightly more snugged. Now, would like to know if it’s worth going for the RS..
The flame RS feels more natural than the flame. BUT I still prefer the flame, it’s quicker and gives more of a snap on take off
@@ThatRunningGuy So would you say the RS is more of a daily trainer than the Flame?
@@felixbruno7937 definitely not, is still a fast shoe but just prefer the flame
@@ThatRunningGuy I use the flames for speed work and long mild effort long runs
Hi, does it have a rigid heel counter? Is the mid-foot wider than Vaporfly?
Rigid heels don’t work with my Achilles. The heel has a nice cushioned pad all the way round and the heel counter i would say that the top half is flexible and bottom rigid. I’ve never had any issues with my Achilles or rubbing. Regarding the mid foot, I don’t know if it’s wider or not as sent my vaporfly back. Didn’t get on my them.
Hi Chris, I'm curious about what's the difference between Flame RS, ST, and the original Flame?
I will ask the 361 rep and get back to you
@@ThatRunningGuy Thanks, really appreciate it.
The difference between the Flame RS and ST are: Flame RS has a full length carbon plate in the midsole where the Flame ST has an glass fiber plate in the midsole. Also the Flame RS has a lighter/thinner upper then the Flame ST. The Flame RS is more suitable for a race (personal records), where the Flame ST is more suitable for speed training (it is slightly more durable).
Well priced a great looking shoe
Definitely a awesome shoe that’s looked over
Vaporfly V2 is killing my Achilles Tendon.. 361 FLAME ST is saving my legs. No pronation.
Zoom x is definitely to soft for people with Achilles issues
What the best shoes for fatwide feet
Honestly is a difficult one to answer. I would recommend trying a few at your local running shop
New Balance comes in WIDE.. It's really wide.
Avoiding Hoka.
pretty sure the name of the brand is "361 degrees"
That’s their tag
