Especially this concert is so well recorded that you can choose any song from this gig without getting disappointed. There are two songs in Spanish if you want to challenge yourselves.
The Villarreal sisters learned English at an early age (also some French), and since their first musical references were the rock videos and concerts they watched with their parents, which were in English. When they began to compose, it became natural for them to do so in English. The Warning has 2 songs in Spanish, but they have said that it is easier for them to write in English because the grammar of Spanish is more complicated, more words are usually required, and the words have more letters. For writing in English, they have received criticism in Mexico. In response, they wrote a song titled Narcisista, a song with lyrics in Spanish that is a harsh response to their critics. ua-cam.com/video/M6F6lM1PxdM/v-deo.html
Good choice, but I would go to the first live performance at Foro Didi, which features a genuinely pissed off Pau: ua-cam.com/video/O7IAEhN4RMM/v-deo.html
One of the merits of The Warning that I most appreciate is that its lyrics are interesting and often have deep meaning. With reference to the meaning of the lyrics of this song, on the Genius website is the explanation given by its author, drummer Paulina: So Disciple is about social media and how opinions are bought on social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know. And how by breeding ignorance and cultivating hate people gain a lot of power and money. So that's what Disciple is about. I saw a lot of people confused with the video, like “why are you the system and you're telling people to kill the system?”, well we're not the system, we (the military characters in the music video) are Someone who is buying your opinion without you even knowing about it. So Disciple was a whole process to write about, but I'm so happy with the song and it's a topic I'm really passionate about, so go stream Disciple, go check it out, the video was so much fun to record and it's a good song, it's so much fun to play, I find it really funny that I'm saying that it's a good song, it's my song, but it was really one of my favorite songs to write, I put a lot of thought into it and Daniella and I worked relentlessly to get everything across, so glad people are enjoying it. - Paulina Villarreal
Disciple carries on with a theme that they have been writing about since thier 1st album XXI Century Blood about social media and technology intefering with individuality. People are being misled by having so much availible on line and need to back off and enjoy real life and use their cognitive abilities by seeking out answers rather than being led down a path by the powers on the internet.
Thanks for the reaction. This concert was professionaly recorded so the sound quality and camera work are pretty good. These girls really freaking rock!
In everyday life they speak Spanish and English and sometimes Spanglish (they are semi-conversational in French). They have little to no accent in English as they attended a bilingual school so they’ve spoken English since an early age. Their sound engineer for FOH is Edward “Lalo” Plaza but for this concert video, Beto Ramos is credited with sound mixing & master. Beto is a drum mentor for Pau and an award winning producer.
More accurately, they speak English with a "Middle-American" (sometime referred to as "Newscaster") accent. What is kind of funny - although irrelevant in this context - is that the "Standard Middle-American" accent was significantly different in the first part of the 20th century, precisely because of the careful enunciation needed for early audio recording technology. The more modern version we are used to these days didn't really rise to prominence until the mid-1950s, IIRC. My guess is that the school the ladies attended with it's "immersion-based" English training was largely staffed by US ex-pats, or locals who were in turn taught by US teachers. Given the proximity to Texas, it's probably unsurprising that learning English in Monterrey is going to be naturally US-accent oriented. It's kind of amusing to see other "ESL" speakers in different parts of the world demonstrate the clear accents of their teachers. I find Japanese who speak English with an obvious Australian accent especially giggle-worthy. 😋
Great reaction! From drummer Paulina - Disciple is a song about social media, right? and how opinions are bought in social media and are fed to us in a way that we don't even know and how by like feeding ignorance and cultivating hate, like people gain a lot of power and money So that's what Disciple is about 👊😊❤️
You could create an entire workout playlist with these incredible artists! Understand the "non-English lyrics" issues, however, if you check out Martirio from them, the emotion they project is next level. You are going to enjoy this journey immensely!!! Cheers!!❤
Even when they're singing in English, it's sometimes a bit jarring, because they'll use phrases and pronunciations that aren't _quite_ "right" to native English speakers. And I still don't understand how Dany can cram the word "Exterminated" into something like two syllables. However, once you _read_ their lyrics while listening, you'll always wonder how you ever thought you heard anything different...
The “Superfecta” of Hard Rock and Metal: Band-Maid / The Warning, and Jinjer / Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘Thx, Sam & Phil
Thank you for returning to The Warning. Try Martirio for a Spanish song, I thank you will feel it even if you don't speak Spanish and Amor has a section in French needless to say both great songs.
Touring: They are doing a European tour April ('24). Doing 7 festvals in Europe between Jun & Aug. Sept ('24) they're scheduled for Louder than Life festival in Louisville, KY.
Really nice reaction! Their energy is contagious for sure. Their lyrics are usually ambiguous with the meaning often up to the listener, and yes, this song in particular may be difficult to make them out without a cheat sheet. The gist of the song (I think) is about the dangers of social media controlling us until we turn into disciples who are ignorant of the things we should be paying attention to instead of our phones. Love the bit near the end where Pau is bouncing on her drum seat. The energizer bunny.
Glad you did this one. My favorite song from The Warning and you did the best version. I watched the entire concert when they streamed it on UA-cam 6 months ago.

The Warning are killing it live 🔥🔥💜🎧💜🔥 And Pau is the one of the best drummers out there right now 🔥with obviously amazing voice as well ❣ Recommending 23 🔥or Pau's cover of Creep 🔥
They do have songs in Spanish check them out I am a 60 year old punk rocker from Tijuana so this is not exactly my kind of music but have much respect for this young girls they are great.
This was a while back so Dany guitars was 22 Pau drums was 20 and Ale bass was 17. Last year they talked to the crowds in Europe in German and French(they actually have French lyrics in Amour) in certain parts of concerts. They are going to be all over Europe again this Spring and Summer and are playing the holy grail Wacken in August. They wrote a song called Narcisista which addressed the critics in Mexico giving them a hard time about singing only in English..it is basically an FU to the critics. If you watch the live version from Teatro Metropolitan there is a big surprise in it.
Thanks for your reaction. The Warning have a lot to say with their songs. I suggest you read the lyrics, either before or after you react to the video. They are awesome story tellers. Would love to hear your interpretation for each song.
A few years ago all three started to run on treadmills and singing while running. That has helped with the singing while playing their instruments. If you've seen the second TEDx concert, Pau was really having a hard time catching her breathe especially after the first song "Unmendable". The exercise regiment seems to have help at least Pau keeping her from being so tired after each song.
Yes, they do communicate to the audience in English when playing in front of English-speaking audiences. If you’re heavily into lyrics then you’ll find a lot to absorb with The Warning.
I know they'll be in Europe in April .. I have a ticket for one of their UK shows - can't wait! They do sound so good live though, choose any track from this concert and you'll not be disappointed, it's excellent.
Love you guy's reactions, TW is an incredible band, also kudos on doing reactions of comics that are edgy like Shane Gillis and Dave Chapelle and Theo Von, comedy is coming back, great music is thriving.....good times.
The Warning is a once in a generation phenomenon. I flew down from Portland Oregon with my daughter to see them live over 2 months ago in Tijuana where they started with Disciple. Ale’s bass kicked me in the chest and knocked me over, then Pau beat me over the head with her drums and then Dany finished me off by slaying me with her guitar and vocals. Once you go down The Warning rabbit hole there's no way out, like Black Holes (which is one of my favorite songs of theirs).🤘⚡
The beginning of this video gives me chills every time. The sisters are seasoned pros. Hundreds of performances. The Warning is a live performance monster. The drummer, Paulina Villarreal (Pau), is a sheer marvel. The running joke is she beats the drums like they owe her money. The mix for live shows is always drum heavy. Pau lays down grooves that are over the top. And when she sings, it can melt you. Check out 23 or Revenant. The more you see, the more you will need. Great reaction! ⚡⚡⚡
Actually the bass drives and is the foundation for most of their songs. They made 3 albums as indie artists played dark off the map venues when cool. Now play the typical places record companies book you and spund radioish commerical for me. Their concept album is really great!
Absolutely EPIC live performance!! They are the best power trio of XXI century! FYI they opened for Foo Fighters, GNR, Muse, Halestorm, 3DG, Deff Leppard, etc. Awesome! They have two songs in spanish: Martirio y Narcisista. Masterpieces! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
For so young the rabbit hole is already worth diving down. Do it and The Warning Army will be following you. The entire Teatro Metropolitan show is worth a watch because they shine brightest live. Looking forward to seeing them in the UK at the end of April. Despite not speaking a word of Spanish one of my favourites is Martirio. Don't understand a word of it, but unlike you I personally latch onto the musical content and don't really go in for "what the lyrics mean". If it sounds good, I like it and that happens to be the case with pretty much everything they've produced so far (though I'm on the fence with their new release).
Saw these girls live when they were opening for Halestorm in Kansas City, summer of 2022. Didn't know who they were then, but I knew I wanted to hear more before their set was over. (And the big show after was great, too...)
This entire concert is killer including an updated version of Enter Sandman and ends the show with stunning version of Evolve. They are 22, 20, and 17 here. The first full length album was released in 2017. Ale was 12.
TW are awesome performers great song writers they have much more to see especially at this show. Thank you for continuing with TW love all your reactions.🤘 ⚡🔥
Gracias por su reacción 👍, The Warning revivieron mi espíritu rockero 🤘⚡, estás chicas son espectaculares son 🔥,y super talentosas, Yo ♥️ The Warning, saludos desde Venezuela 👋😎
The Warning are one of those rarest of bands, who are better live than in the studio (not that the studio versions are not good) they give so much energy to the crowd and get a lot back, it's almost a symbiotic relationship. They are just getting better and better with each song and each performance. Your next Warning song should be Sick!, their latest single release, it's a total banger.
I absolutely adore TW. Any song from this concert is gold. "Martirio" and "Narcisista" are both done in Spanish and are both done at this concert. "Narcisista" was written by Pau (the drummer) in response to haters who accused them of being traitors because they sing their songs in English despite being Mexican.
Classically trained on piano at ages 5 and 3 and 5, the sisters first performed together at ages 12, 10, and 7. What you see and hear is called "sibling magic"! Thank you for reacting to The Warning!! btw, She pronounced "teatro" correctly (not in French). Speaking of French, check out "AMOUR" from that same concert.
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on this live performance of Disciples from The Warning .We were all called The Warning Army 4Life . But after this song from them happened and the video Were All called Disciples 4Life .
I been a fan since their first video out of their basement covering metalica and currently have all but one of their albums and seen them at the Whiskey a go go. Amazing to see live, the energy is wild.
It’s one thing to watch Pau on video, but I was so impressed by her when I saw them in August 2023. I was never a good drummer, I aspired to mediocrity behind the kit, but I can’t imagine playing and singing at the same time, much less how smoothly Pau does it. She’s one of my musical heroes.
The Teatro is a live venue in Mexico City, and they are relatively new in the public eye but did go viral back then - Dany doesn't often play solos, or lead line solos, but sometimes has an isolated place to do something besides the usual fantastic riffs
I'm sure many have said already, you have been Warned. Each new song will become your favorite. I recommend any song from this same concert: Choke, Error, Enter Sandman, Martirio(spanish), When I'm Alone, Dust to Dust, Queen of the Murder Scene. Literally, there are no bad songs.
First show on tape was 2012 before they were named the Warning. They all are top notch keyboard players. all started on piano when they were about 6. July 31 they will play Wacken Aug 1st Polerocks estimated audience for the 2 days is 330,000.
Recently they dropped Live videos from Concert at the Pepsi Center CDMX over 8000 people. Check out Disciple and Dust To Dust they take it to another lever
Their musical influences are English speaking. All but two songs are in English. The song Narcissista is their first song in Spanish and it was in response to their Mexican or Spanish speaking critics who didn't like they sang everything up to that point in English. I think I heard them say they found it easier to write songs in English even though their first language is Spanish. BTW, they have a song called AMOUR and Dany, the singer/guitarist actually have a line in French too. I am not sure if they are fluent in French or just enough to use in the song.
Regarding the drummer Paulina Villarreal (Pau - pronounced POW - which is certainly appropriate), singing and playing at the same time, listen to "23" from the same concert, the lyrics are very easy to hear and understand from that song. I have heard Pau described as a "5 foot stick of dynomite" or my fav "A pocket sized nuclear reactor behind the drum kit". There is a video floating around where Dany (Daniela Villarreal) compares Pau to Animal from the Muppets. Regarding the consistent grove, that is being created and driven by Ale (Alejandra Villarreal) the bass player who has been described a human metronome and I believe has perfect pitch. When they went viral with "Enter Sandman" in 2014 their ages were Dany (14), Pau (12), and Ale (9). Around that time they recorded their first EP "Escape the Mind" which was basically them finding their sound. Originally they started writing their own material but were not going to record it but we are glad they did. "Escape the Mind" may not be their best work but considering their ages when they recorded it, I consider it quite impressive. I think if I tried to write a song it would be the musical version of "See spot run" and I am 57! Hats off to The Warning's talent, practice, and determination.
I can't believe you've only done 2 The Warning reactions. Here is a virtual (insert large amount of money here) to keep going. I think there's more for you to enjoy having seen you for quite awhile now. The Warning do actually have amazing enunciation so when you get them in studio you can understand ever nuance of every word (like you saw in Evolve). It's just a fact of life that Rock bands are better in live performances (and 3x for this band) but understanding lyrics is kind of well, 'a process' if you only listen to live. I say, feel free to read they lyrics ahead of reacting, or react to official videos or official lyric videos. You can't really spoil The Warning by knowing the lyrics ahead. The songwriting is worth understanding it;;;; and believe me, I almost never can get lyrics from just listening to anything.
Hi there.. This whole show is excellent, start to finish 22 songs. Very special band here... One of a kind .. try 23 & Dust to Dust if you want to hear Paulina aka Pau (Pow) sing while drumming.. 🤘🎶☮️
Great reactions to everything. I am quite enjoying this. So from a fellow Canadian (in Ottawa). I would like to here you react to 'Signs' by the Five Man Electrical Band. They were a band here in Ottawa in late 60's early 70's , and the message in this song means so much more these days than when they wrote it. One of my favorite car playlist tunes and I can't help singing it when I I hear it. I think you will enjoy the message.
These ladies rock! Have seen em live a couple times. And they're doing it without any gimmicks, controversies, and without sexualizing themselves. They let their talent do the talking. Check out Queen of the Murder Scene, 23, Choke (music video), Martirio, Dull Knives. 🤟🏽
Some Mexicans themselves thought as you did, "Why are they singing in English?" and were not so nice about their comments. So, The Warning wrote a song about them called Narcisista, a hard rocking eff you to them, sung ironically in Spanish, I guess so they could understand it. Personally, it is my favourite song by them.
Hello neighbors if u want to consider maybe when reacting to the warning start from the beginning with either enter sandman or atlas rise than have suggestions with a song or 2 each year after that to see their evolution into music their growth from enter sandman to dust to dust and survive to crimson queen and so on
Pick ANY song from their live @ Teatro Metropolitan setlist ...The Warning is BEST live! Favorites are Z (opening song), Animosity, Disciple, Dust to Dust (drummer vocals), Evolve, Queen of the Murder Scene, Choke, Enter Sandman (reimagined), etc....Have fun!
Fun Fact: Pau was just recently voted the best rock drummer of 2023 by Drumeo.
I'm really happy for her but ... well ... she does not really need this award. We all know she is fantastic anyway (as well as Ale and Dany ...) ;-)
@@stephanschoneberg3453 I couldn't agree more, but it is really promising that they are getting the recognition they deserve.

These ladies are amazing.
Gracias por su reacción 👍, The Warning revivieron mi espíritu rockero 🤘⚡, estás chicas son espectaculares son 🔥,y super talentosas, Yo ♥️ The Warning, saludos desde Venezuela 👋😎
Love them.
Please do “choke”..official video
Song....when I'm alone....is awesome
Aveces solo busco The Warning Reaction y me salen estos videos, fantástico! y me encanta Ale. Servicio de UA-cam 10 de 10
Just like the band Muse. They're better live than in the studio.
No matter how times I here that opening I still think there must be more than three of them 🔥🔥🤘
Very happy seeing The Warning back on your channel! I hope you continue with this journey, they truly do not have a bad song so enjoy the ride!
Rather than guitar solos, they are more famous with sick breakdowns! Fun reaction as always! Hope you guy will do their newest song "Automatic Sun".
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on this live performance of Disciples from The Warning .We were all called The Warning Army 4Life . But after this song from them happened and the video Were All called Disciples 4Life .
Come for the music. Stay for the lyrics! Please do look up the lyrics. They are wise beyond their years.
That's our girls...Long life to TW!!
The Teatro is a live venue in Mexico City, and they are relatively new in the public eye but did go viral back then - Dany doesn't often play solos, or lead line solos, but sometimes has an isolated place to do something besides the usual fantastic riffs
Fun fact. Ale is the most underrated musician on the planet.
♥ these girls! Pau is such a little dynamo behind the kit!
BTW - Band Maid just dropped a killer live video few days ago
Also, they have three full albums and a fourth on the way.
Great reaction
I pray that God keeps these sisters tovether and safe.🙏
First heard them back when they did Enter Sandman and they were on the Ellen Degeneres Show. I've been a fan ever since!
These ladies rock! Have seen em live a couple times. And they're doing it without any gimmicks, controversies, and without sexualizing themselves. They let their talent do the talking. Check out Queen of the Murder Scene, 23, Choke (music video), Martirio, Dull Knives. 🤟🏽
"Teatro Metropolitan" is Spanish for the "Metropolitan Theater" in Mexico City (CDMX)...
CDMX - Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City, so it's practically their home turf.
⚡The Warning⚡
🔥👸👸👸🔥
Rock🤘😎
If you haven’t reacted to their two live songs Evlove and More they did it last year 2023 MTV awards you really need to check it out, later ❤️😎🇺🇸
Danny is the best in the group and leader. I really enjoyed their music before the recird deal. When Im Alone is still their best song.
I believe this performance cemented them as Bonafide rock stars!🤘
They sing a little French in the song "Amour".
Great reaction! I love this band!
Thanks
Thank you. TWA.
Most people use 🤘 but I use 🤟 because it means “I Love You” in sign language.
