Your happiness is so strikind and makes me emotional as well. Having just moved into my first ever place of my own, I can strongly relate to that feeling of relief and just plain happiness at being to yourself.
It's so wonderful!! I'm so happy to see this, you look so happy. It's stressful and busy, but having your own place is so worth it, especially when you've been working towards it for years!! ahhh I'm so happy for you! And you do get excited about all the small things when you get your own place, right? I'm still excited about the fancy vaccum cleaner I bought last year when I realised my new place was too big for my tiny handheld vaccum, haha.
also for what it's worth - for me it's been over a year since I last moved, and some of my stuff is still in boxes. it kinda helps to realise what you don't need and de-clutter a bit!

I borrowed my parents hoover when I moved in. Luckily, I've got hard flooring in most of the flat, so I am making do without for the time being. I was at Bible group in the last month and we got onto the topic of hoovers (vacuums!) and whilst talking away, we all realised what we were talking about - WE'RE ADULTS NOW HAHA! You can tell you're an adult when you find conversations about hoovers riveting :D x

Same, I mean hats off to her if she can afford this flat, its huge. After many months of scouting rent prices, the rent would be extortionate here D; I hope her offline job is substantive to cover the rent/mortage for the foreseeable future.
She's taken two cats - Greyble and Puss Puss. I don't know for definite that she owns the flat but she has previously said when she moved out she wanted to own not rent and I feel she mentioned something about a mortgage previously also so I think she has bought it.

I know it's been a long process and extremely stressful at times, but it seems to all be coming together and you must be so excited for the future. I know I am excited to see what the future has in store for you!
I don't know if you realize it per say but this was incredibly inspirational and beautiful to watch. You look so truly happy (from an outsider's perspective of course) and really at peace! I know that at some point I want to get my own place, but for now, I'm happier being nomadic or just living places for maybe a year at a time. Who knows where the future lies. But still, this has been an amazing adventure to watch. I remember when you first started talking about moving out and I naïvely thought you were just going to rent an apartment or something, and then, later on, you started bringing up mortgages. All that ran through my head was that you weren't much older than me! But still, everyone has a different path to take in life! Just hats off to you and I truly hope you are enjoying your time in your new home! You deserve it so much Beckie! To more happiness and adventures! I can't wait to see what happens next! :D
Oh how nice to have a place of your own! I love living at home and being with my family, but god, living on your own is so liberating. I love how airy your flat is - so much natural light!

I've always felt a strong connection to you and all the little amazing details of this video gave me a feeling of peace that radiates from you and your inner self. The clip where your mom is cleaning your window and gives that tiny smile is priceless, it says so much and I feel like for your family and especially you there is a huge rock taken from your chests. Wonderful to see you so very happy. You have deserved this and I am sure that your home will be wonderful. It is so exciting to finally have your own place, your own home. I remember from two years ago when I got the keys from my home (well 2 years minus 2 days), the smell, the excitement of how big it is (sure when it is empty, then you move in all your stuff and you wonder where to put everything) and how scary but wonderful it is to be completely on your own :).

I'm moving this spring/summer and I'm really excited! It won't be my first place on my own, but it will be the first stand alone house that I've lived in since I was a toddler. I'm ready to be out of apartments and have a bit of my own space (and my own yard! so excited for that!). I can really understand that feeling of happiness and peace that you talked about. The first time I moved away from my mom's house i packed up my car and drove across the country (more than 30 hours over a couple days!). The first night I spent in my own apartment was so amazing. I ended up moving back close to family but I would do the same thing all over again. It was a great experience.

This whole moving process reminds me so much of my own moving time four years ago. So I was quite excited for this (and more) videos.
I also had two moving days because I had to bring my four budgies with me after all the furniture and stuff.
At that night and also other visits later at my old home I somehow thought in my head that my room would be still there like it always was. But of course it wasn't. Really weird indeed.
My knee was also in a really bad way (followed by an operation four months later) and I moved from my parents flat on the 5th floor into my flat on a 4th floor. No lifts at all. Ouch. Take all the rest you need.
Your flat just looks so nice and comfy! Can't wait to see it being filled with your new furniture, creativity and your style.

The night before I moved into my own apartment I had an anxiety attack to the point where I went to an urgent care. Moving was the most stressful thing I have ever done, and I moved to a whole other state so I was kind of doing it alone (besides my boyfriend whom I was moving in with). In the end, it felt like one of the best things I have ever done. I'm so happy for you Beckie!

I totally understand the feeling of being torn apart, being between two places, not really feeling at home at either of them. It's a kind of sadness and loneliness. When you can finally fix that, it's such a relief!

I know the feeling so well! I moved out in august, to live alone for the first time. I'm only 5m away from my mom, but to be able to have my life and my house out of the boxes I'd been accumulating over the last 5 years...is just amazing. And, yeah, in the first few days I didn't know the feeling of being alone either, it felt like I always had someone here. It took me about two weeks to really let the "alone" part soak in. The best part is having my friends over and hear them say that it has great vibe, and it feels just like me! Hope you all the best! May this be the start of something awesome!

And holy smokes, that's a nice big open kitchen.👍 My husband I were so proud of buying our first dining room table. We're still attached to it. Still have it. I think because it was our first 'adult furniture' purchase. Before that all of our furniture was from an awesome thrift shop in Athens Georgia.

Congratulations, it’s lovely to see you happy in your new place! My boyfriend and I are going to be going through this process next month, I’m excited, but nervous about all the stressful aspects, and the inevitable rollercoaster of emotions! Oh, I’m so excited for you! Moving into your own place is so wonderful. I had a tiny taste of that when I first moved into my college apartment, but it was still on campus, so it wasn’t fully mine. But I remember unpacking over probably three days in between showing the freshmen around campus and being so proud of things like being able to make my own dinners in my own kitchen and sit down at a real dinner table. And now I’m back living with my parents and planning my next move, but I can’t wait until I get to move into my own place, for real next time (probably several years away until I get a steady career job.)
Anyway, I would love to see more vloggy-type things of you in your new flat! I’m so excited for you to make the place your own.

Honestly, it's such a wonderful feeling to feel your excitement coming through in this video.
It's a goal of mine to be financially stable enough to move out of my family home (even though it's likely going to be a flat-share with a friend) by 2020. It's so inspiring to see you achieving this, especially seeing how you acknowledge all of the difficulties moving out can bring.

I moved appartement last weekend of february. I havent unpacked much either. My jungle ( yes a litteral jungle of plants) is in the shelf i have and cant put much stuff there but its okay. I was SO lucky to have friends to help and my mom to clean. One step at the time, we will get trough thoses boxes. Sending positives waves your way, from Montreal, Canada.
