So... Lauren Southern, Miss "Great Replacement," made a whole movie based on anti-semitic conspiracies about BLM and Antifa? Wow, she's sure grown from her earlier work hasn't she.
@@starkiller23610 She's an advocate for racial discrimination and has promoted the same ideas as white nationalists and white supremacists mass murderers.
@@starkiller23610 Shaun's video The Great Replacement Isn't Real - ft. Lauren Southern talked about it Her video used racist sources and was named after the idea started by a known racist author, which was also used by the Christchurch shooter's manifesto, literally named the Great Replacement, and who later murdered 50 people in a mosque in 2019, which is one of the reasons why she went quiet a few years back, because she knew people would make the connection. Her ideas are inherently violent and revolting, and she's currently trying to repackage them into a nicer package. You probably don't know because she's thankfully really falling out of relevancy, and hopefully stay that way. And what a surprise, in this very video, her own documentary has racist and antisemitic guests, and goes on for a few minutes trying to suggest black and brown people are just biologically violent.
Lauren Southern went to University of the Fraser Valley sometime between 2011, and 2016, and she didn't study Philosophy. I know this because I did study philosophy there for those years, and she was never in any of my classes. I think she studied political science, and at one point she took a women's studies course so that she could shit on it on youtube, but she never finished it.
She did, she dropped out. She enrolled again later as she said she was continuing education in her goodbye video. Got pregnant, dropped out a second time, got married.

I hate this "black people just change your own life" argument. As if decades of systemic racism did not impact them, and even if it did "so what, we should not give anyone extra help". Its like someone of color is down in a deep hole and they say "just climb on out, others have so you should be able to as well" and when you dare to suggest giving the person in the hole a ladder they argue "i didnt have a ladder, giving him a ladder would be unfair to me". Even tho they were never in that deep of a hole themselves to begin with...
Not to mention they're the same people to list everything trump did for the black community as if they genuinely support it. They care more about owing the libs than they do about consistency.
I imagine Lauren left to go montage training like Rocky preparing to fight Ivan Drago, but instead of fight Ivan Drago it was interview to work at Newsmax.
I am a little disapointed that you went along with rather than correcting the misrepresentation of antifa as an organisation that people can be members of. Antifa is just a common term for people that protest against fascism, its not a singular entity.
It's nice to know that Lauren Southern is still making stupid right-wing propaganda flicks. Although I find it amusing that each movie keeps getting less views. I get so tired of right-wingers thinking that every progressive movement is run by "communists" who just want to "destroy America". It's really getting old. These people are mentally stuck in the 1950's and are channeling Joseph McCarthy. By the way, your review was great! Keep up the good work!
The idea that a bunch of people who share a common idea are all working together in a massive conspiracy makes me concerned because people actually believe it.
Some people need content warning warnings because they’re that sensitive about people possibly being sensitive over certain things and I think that’s hilarious.
I think it's a mistake to treat Southern as if "maybe she's changed" and then at the end to feel sorry for her. She's extremely dangerous. Everything she says should be seen as part of the grift, at least until she makes a definitive and unambiguous apology. Expressing any other attitude risks encouraging viewers to take her seriously, and possibly be drawn into her worldview. No doubt her fellow Nazis treat her like garbage, but she was already a soulless husk. This is the world she chooses to live in; this is who she wants to be. She is not the victim. I don't feel sorry for Richard Spencer or Alex Jones - Lauren Southern is no different.

@W J just read the paper and it literally said that it wasn't particularly correlated with violent crime specifically, but it was correlated with crime in general, and the important takeaway is that it's only one factor among many in terms of criminality in kids. What was your point again? Also, I'm more interested in those studies that are fresh statistical analysis of a variety of studies rather than one stand alone (can't recall the term for them right now) because there can be outliers or poor research methods in a stand alone one, even though the paper you presented doesn't disprove the harm of lead and my point. They also discarded results from kids who died or didn't consent to criminal background checks as adults, which raises some red flags for me Literally from the paper: "Criminal conviction was more prevalent and more frequent at higher BLLs: 8 of 33 participants (24.2%) with a BLL of 5 μg/dL or less had a criminal conviction compared with 24 of 82 participants (29.3%) with a BLL above 15 μg/dL (Table)."

So... Lauren Southern, Miss "Great Replacement," made a whole movie based on anti-semitic conspiracies about BLM and Antifa? Wow, she's sure grown from her earlier work hasn't she.
"Former president Trump" is such a nice thing to hear
Convict Trump would've had a much better ring to it tho.
Former president trump_may god bless his soul.
President Biden not so much, though.
"Twice Impeached Trump."
@@LiberalSquared yeah. Biden sucks

wow woulda thought Lauren Mc "white genoci- i mean the great replacement" was in fact actually not not racist
... so being an activist against racial discrimination is racist? By that logic BLM in the US is racist.

@@xibalbalon8668 When? Genuinely. I dont know her all that well.
@@starkiller23610 Shaun's video The Great Replacement Isn't Real - ft. Lauren Southern talked about it
Her video used racist sources and was named after the idea started by a known racist author, which was also used by the Christchurch shooter's manifesto, literally named the Great Replacement, and who later murdered 50 people in a mosque in 2019, which is one of the reasons why she went quiet a few years back, because she knew people would make the connection.
This woman is 100% without a shadow of a doubt, aware of everything she’s doing. I don’t feel sorry for at all.
I think the university was too much for her.
She did, she dropped out. She enrolled again later as she said she was continuing education in her goodbye video. Got pregnant, dropped out a second time, got married.
Oh the Atlantic documentary, where she just has to sit in the fact that her partner is non-white is just sublime. Absolutely fantastic editing by the Atlantic.
the content warning for a content warning at the beginning is fucking HILARIOUS because it points out how ridiculous it is to refuse to be polite to people being polite
I can't believe Lauren Southern is both the same age as me and from the same province, that's still too much connection for me
Her brain damage isn't your fault
Yeah, knowing that there are huge fascist influencers the same age as me or even younger, like nick fuentes for example, really was a gut punch for me
The guy asking why crime is higher in low income areas sent my sides into orbit. How does someone say that sentence and not make the immediate mental connection to answer
Lauren has taken "the real life pill"...what is this new grift?
It's just the old grift with a new paint job.
It's trying to put the mask back on, but the mask is about 25% smaller than before.
CROSSFIRE

Cross fiaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
It's a common term for people who cosplay, as people who fight against fascism.
I mean, it doesn’t really matter either way. An antifa organization could still be good.
She has a child now? I am so sorry for that child. Poor kid
Mike Cernovich really rocking the "fifth-of-whiskey-a-day" look
"Summaring up" is a fun line, but that thoughtslime video was good, I hadn't seen it before.

I agree. She had her chance to redeem herself when she took that year long break, but alas she continued on the same path.
Your theme song is the bees knees and makes me smile. Thank you content maker!

The content warning for a content warning was spot on. I mean, content warnings are important for those who need them, and harmless to those who don't, but I like the jab at the outrage over the existence of content warnings.
The song being played in the Critical Race Theory section.... Danse Macabre. I'm sure that's just a coincidence though.
Less lead is quite fascinating for the reason in the drop of crime
Yeah, it delays cognitive growth, particularly in the frontal lobes, which controls impulse control, instant gratifcation, and decision making. Super toxic stuff
@W J how many other countries still use leaded gasoline, leaded paint these days? Ever consider that they weren't replicated outside the US because they had better lead abatement programs sooner? If you have a source disputing this, I'd love to see it because I searched and couldn't find anything
They also discarded results from kids who died or didn't consent to criminal background checks as adults, which raises some red flags for me
Literally from the paper: "Criminal conviction was more prevalent and more frequent at higher BLLs: 8 of 33 participants (24.2%) with a BLL of 5 μg/dL or less had a criminal conviction compared with 24 of 82 participants (29.3%) with a BLL above 15 μg/dL (Table)."

Lauren Southern spins so fast she flies out of the atmosphere.
The "Angelic" music for the cops sounds like a great value version of the great fairy theme from Twilight Princess.
Good video, honestly the most interesting part was when you started talking about the White Noise documentary, seeing those clips was fascinating. It makes me almost feel bad for Lauren and I wish she'd have the epiphany that this ecosystem she's existing in and contributing to is really harmful, but I guess she's just a lost cause.
Super interesting, especially that reveal from the director - always love getting bits of information like that.
Giving Southern the benefit of the doubt and viewing her work "with an open mind" is a mistake. People like her have to live with their actions and therefore their reputation. There's no path for someone like her back into the national body politic - the risk is far too high and the benefit is so incredibly low. This is not a criticism of you or this video at all. Just my opinion. Keep up the amazing work, Jose.

@@vxicepickxv Explains why most of the people interviewed are just her far right friends rather than finding actual experts and why she didn't bother doing any research to back up her statements.
If she was a journalist she could have just listened to the Nixon tapes to understand his motives on the Drug War and policing. The fact that she sums it up as, "For every action, there is a reaction." Is completely disingenuous. Lazy at best, intentionally misleading people at worst.
Lauren southern is a propagandist pretending to be a journalist so it was most likely intentionally misleading, as the whole film was just ticking check boxes of right wing talking points.:

Danse Macabre being played alongside an “explanation” of critical race theory is a perfect example of conservative views on this type of thing.
