Reluctant Bears should welcome 'Hard Knocks' spotlight | Parkins & Spiegel

- On the Parkins & Spiegel Show, Anthony Herron reacts to the Giants being chosen for the offseason edition of "Hard Knocks." Soon, the NFL will have to decide which team will be the centerpiece of the traditional "Hard Knocks" program that focuses on one team in training camp every year. The Bears have long rebuffed that possibility, but they should welcome the spotlight, Herron says.

I feel like it would just be a distraction
It didn’t distract the lions, it didn’t distract the jet. It’s not a distraction.
Yeah that always seemed like a silly excuse
If they keep refusing to do it then they need to make camp more accessible. It’s impossible to get tickets and they don’t show anything and they keep the players on the far field. Had to go to the joint practice with Indy because the Bears act like their practices are a state secret.
Good point
I gotta feeling NFC North is going to be the 'In Season' Hard Knocks this year.
Keep the team focused. No to outside BS
Hope the Bears don’t do HardKnocks. What for? So the media can have something to talk about? Hope the Bears stand firm. Fans aren’t as nosey as the media thinks.
Yeah that’s not true. Fans want to see what the team is doing and the bears give the least amount to there fans
Fans 100% want to see this wtf are you talking about
@@Jasper118 like myself you don’t speak for 100%of the fans. Everyone doesn’t need to see everything.that’s wtf I’m talking about.
@@Tansilanta one of the largest fan bases in the NFL from all over the world, many outside of the Chicagoland area and not able to watch all their games, throw in the excitement around the team this year, they absolutely want to see this. The vast majority for sure
@@Jasper118 The Bears don’t feel it helps the team to be on Hard Knocks, that’s ok with me. And I only speak for me! What every other Bears fan all over the world wants to see is not my concern. I care about the Bears playing the game at the highest level they can.
Not only the Stadium and the courting of Caleb Williams, but also the letting go of Luke Getsy; the thoughts conversations and dealings that went into trading Fields for a 6th/conditional 4th. Mooney, Another Ryan Pace pick, going to Atlanta. Being able to draft a QB and their top WR in the top 10. There were a lot of things to discuss. They should have taken advantage of that. No other team would have had as compelling of an offseason worth documenting on TV.
Wait till they announce who is going to be the In Season Division for Hard Knocks. They have 3 shows now Offseason (NYG) Training Camp (TBD), I wont be surprised the NFC North isnt selected this year for the regular Season Show featuring all four teams in a division. They have so many storylines with Detroit Lions being a former hardknocks hit season with Dan Cambell at beginning of the rebuild to tryn to return to NFC Title game. Obviously they know Caleb content sells, Packers rivalry... i could go on for paragraphs about the endless storyline potential if NFC North is picked.
I'm fine with us not doing it.
No to that Mrs. Laskey. Bump Hardknocks!0
Hard knock … really. How does that make them better? It’s a joke of media. Nonsense
Ticket sales and views obviously, it’s a business
That Livvy Dunne comment was cancel-worthy stuff. Think before you speak, people.
Hard knocks we ain’t ready give it to the chiefs
No! leave for the cow girls drama squad
Ohhhh Hell No! That is worse than inviting the 85 team back to run out at the first game. 99% prob to turn in to a sh&8 show. This new group looks good but has not proven anything. Almost certainly an embarrassment given the history.
i hope they don't do hard knocks
Why Hard Knocks ?
Just go out and do your jobs , get your own information.
It’s just a distraction to the team .
How is it a distraction? These are professionals
Hell no please
Bears need to try new things. Do hard knocks. We ain't special haven't won a superbowl in 39 years
No
Isn't Hard Knocks for teams that are in the bottom of the barrell? They only have the biggest losing teams on the show. bears have not lost enough to do so.
Bro that show is a curse NOOOOOOO
No. No they should not.
Agreed
Why not
Counterpoint, yes.
