The 58mm SAK’s…, fantastic foundation for edc 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Some great options to choose from…. Easy to carry and keep on your person! I’ve had a classic SD on my keys for years… served me well and been used so many times 👊🏻 Really like the midnight Manager but think I’d miss the scale tools, my choice and planned next SAK purchase is the Rambler 😀 Fantastic video!!! Thanks Slippy 👊🏻
Enjoy yours and Thrifty Kniffy’s channels!❤ 58mm SAK’s are handy. I was carrying a MiniChamp it had more than I really needed. I decided to pick up a Midnite Manager it has everything I need for edc. I keep it on a lanyard with a TEC Accessories Python Clip around my neck. It’s a great addition to my 91mm Deluxe Tinker with plus scales. It resides on my belt in a sheath with a larger flashlight. Keep up the great videos. 🍻
My favorite 58 mm for my backpack is the Rambler. For my key chain, my favorite is the Jetsetter. Scissors and combo tool only, but same thickness as the Classic, so thinner than a Rambler. I lose the blade (but I have multiple other blades on me anyway) and the nail file, but I like and use that small 3D Phillips more.
You can never go wrong with any of these, they're all truly amazing! Personally I always keep a rambler in my wallet and it gets used every single day. Great video.
If Victorinox made a Midnight Manager without the blade and replaced it with something else, it would be a much better alternative to the Jetsetter for airline travel.
The combo Phillips tool has to be the best tool on the 58mm! The reason I have a Rambler over the Classic. A shame the price hike is so big, but it’s my daily carry. Have Firefly ferro rods for it too.
Great stuff. Just purchased a Jetsetter as I wanted to try the small combi tool for a low price. Works as a small SANK along with my main carry : Luna, Svord mini etc. Thanks Mr Sawyer
Question: is it possible to use the light while writing with the pen or cutting with the knife? In some circumstances that would be really useful, but perhaps it's too fiddly to be holding down the shield button. What's your experience? Thanks!
We have 4 Classic SD's... one on each of our key rings, one in the wife's purse and one that just sits around the living room. I don't think there's a day goes by when we don't use one of them for some reason or another, whether it be at home, at work or just when we're out and about. We also have a Swiss Army 1 each, for when we just need a knife and nothing more. Very tempted to add a Pioneer X to the camping kit too. Brilliant reviews, even if you are costing me money 🤣
Thanks for another great video 👍 I'm hoping you take a look at a GAK in the future (German army knife 108mm) they were originally made by victorinox so it's a great item for any SAK collection and also a great two layer and it's corkscrew fits all the mini tools btw. Also it's combo tool on a saw with file might be the most tools on any single layer ever 🤔
I would love if they brought back the older style nail files instead of the current with the smooth edge around the face. I have hope since they are introducing them in their larger knives.
Agree that the 58mm are a great little key ring or pocket tool, just wish they made an alox rambler as love the alox knives and ended up getting the alox mini champ as it was the same size as a cellidor rambler for a couple of useful extra tools and a couple of less useful…
I love my rambler! Like you said, it’s the fact that the blade open away from your key that makes it so great compared to the Classic SD. If only they would make it as a Alox Model…
The discontinued manager is best for me if you can find one having the tweezers and toothpick.I'm not too keen on the lite versions of SAK. victorinox has opted to favour over normal SAK as i feel the led light is insignificant in comparison to peoples phone torch or keychain torch. NB, the scales of the lite versions are also wider than the original ones.
Strange having 3 medical tools on the Mini Champ - the tracheotomy (Wharncliffe) blade, “orange peeler, aka the medical bottle opener and pharmaceutical scoop!
I bought a red Classic SD for my wife’s purse. She’s delighted and uses it daily.
Awesome 😎
The blade of the Rambler also opens on the other end!
It's better that way, for sure.
100% soo much better that way

Amazing

Midnite Manager is the ultimate lightweight/summer carry tool. Great video!
It's definitely a great knife

You can indeed, easy push on the button
I switch between Rambler and silvertec midnight manager all the time. Great choices!
Good choice!

1. Rambler - why? The keyring is on the right side 😊
2. Classic
3. Jetsetter (Carry-On Bag)
4. Rally
Great choices

I know, it's a strange one but all have their uses
Don’t know if you are into the 111 mm range, but maybe do a simulair video with those?
Keep an eye out 👀
I carry the Manager everywhere on my keychain. It's a shame it's been discontinued.
A shame indeed
I have a soft spot for my manager ✌️
Good man
