I was off the illumicrate wait list in about a month. Ive been on the FL and OC wait list for several months. Illumicrate is kind of hit or miss. While some of the goodies in the boxes are neat, the books aren't always the greatest depsite being beautiful (and some of them are YA).

Caffiene and Legends actually does a pretty great job of picking under the radar adult SFF books. You get a bag of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate with each box, and one random item. (Plus you can view the books and skip/pause months as you go.) They’ve been a little hit or miss, but I think they’ve done a better job than others with finding books I like! (Plus, they’re not wait listed right now)
Okay people, stay with me. This is my first year being able to select a Book of the Year for free since I got Bestie status. You rank three that you think are the best and hope will win. Okay, great. One has to assume if you’re voting for a book that you read it and loved it and likely own it. If something else wins then one has to assume a bestie has seen it as an option and declined to choose it. So, either a book wins that I love so I probably already own it or something I passed on wins so I don’t actually want it….. I think the logic and practice is flawed. But that’s just me.
