The most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Yes but silver was a fake number back then because it had to cost 1/15 of an ounce of gold. How many ounces of silver does it now take to equal 1 oz of gold. Now that's an eye-opener

the S&P was 107.44 back in 1973. It is now 4,369. Silver has increased 6x, the S&P has increased 40x in the same time frame.

You seem to think a lack of government means a lack of accountability. That is the myth that government pushes. Private courts, arbiters, security, and enforcement can work instead. However, too many people still believe in statism and authoritarianism, which is why when a government collapses, new ones take its place; a government simply being an agency that engages in coercion and extortion like a mafia.
For example, when so-called Somalia became "anarchist," it actually just separated into smaller governments fighting for power, and it was actually economically better under the multiple rulers than just one. So in the case of say a small town in America, a neighborhood militia and task force is going to quickly start settling disputes, so thieves will still be prosecuted.

yeah right. I'm with you. Silver is more like a hobby because of their designs and series. For saving it's gold. And more invested into productive asset like stocks. 😂
Own land, have well-maintained buildings, plant fruit trees, set aside foods that can be stored in dry form (consider: rice is better than wheat because it only needs boiling, not grinding and baking), and then stack gold and silver. Don't let stacking become an obsession. Invest in what will get you through one year, then stack.
If you bought 100K of silver in 2000, that would be worth around 500K now. That's more of an increase than real estate. Putting it in a mutual fund, 401K, etc. would probably have done better, but it's a little bit of a gamble where some people go up a lot, some a little, some stay the same, and some lose money. If you're planning to hold the assets for twenty years, then I'd say bullion is a good buy for anyone now who doesn't trust their judgment in the more volatile stuff, because the bullion will at least maintain its value relative to commodities, and is unaffected by a currency exchange.
A mortgage is a good investment too when the economy is going to hell, because with inflation, you end up saving money relative to the value of the dollar at the time you bought the house until you pay it off, and if the banks or dollar collapse, then the cost to payoff will be little to nothing.
Bullion should always be seen as a long-term store of wealth. Expecting it to be a profitable investment is the wrong attitude.
I'm from the UK so these numbers will be in UK pounds ok.
Average price for a terraced house in 1995 in my hometown was £43k, in 2023 the average price is £270k that's an increase of +527% nice return no doubt about it.
The price for an Oz of gold in the UK in 1995 was £255 at it's peak, in 2023 the price is £1,610 that is an increase of +531%.
What we see here is a pretty similar rate of value retention correct?
Now consider this, who has the cash to drop to buy a house outright?
Most people don't, most people will have to take out a mortgage so technically you don't own that house until you pay that loan off and assuming you don't default that £43k someone borrowed on a 25 year mortgage in 1995 they would have repaid a damn site more than £43k near double in fact because banks aren't into lending money for free.
Also what if you do default on the mortgage, say for some unexpected reason you're unable to meet the payments, then what?
Oh the bank takes the house and keeps the money you have paid up until that point that's what.
If you are stacking gold, you get a similar value retention as demonstrated but you aren't taking out loans with interest to buy it and nobody is gonna come take your stack if you can't afford to buy more for a few months.

In 1977 at the age of 12 I told my dad to buy gold at $183. The price of gold is about 11 times that now...but the Value of gold is still the same, roughly. But who listens to a 12 y/o kid? Years later dad caught a falling knife buying gold, lost about 20% and blamed me. If dad had held on, he could have tripled his fiat in 10 years or less.

Bitcoin the project was in 09 but it was worked on for many years before that in the late 90s... I remember when I started college in Florida (UCF & Valencia) in my software engineering we learned alot about game theory and Sha 265 algorithms.... It's what got me hooked... I have the problem, that the West side of my garden is facing the street and my neighbours would have gone nuts, had I turned that into a multi-crop field 🙂 . So we sat down, the entire family, including our grandchildren, and came up with a plan to make it a really good looking 'garden', but it's full of crops, fruit bushes and flowers for our best friends: The bees :-)

I heard the worst place to buy gold or silver is from the banks. One reason there is a 7-10% markup or premium above market value. Also Banks will not buy back your gold or silver you bought from them for a cash back. Where is a safe place to buy gold or silver in Canada. Border Gold? I live in BC Canada.
I was late, now I stack fast, but it really hammers big holes in my cash budget. I transfer half from what I earn and I only have 7.5kg of silver.

Gold and silver are absolutely necessary but in a food shortage people won’t want to trade their food for gold and silver because you can’t eat it. I see gold and silver for land, taxes, car tires, gas, cloths, etc. not for food or water.

I like what she has to say except when she starts comparing stacking with the end of civilisation as we know it …….. then I’m lost - I believe stacking precious metals will only be an advantage should inflation rise exponentially, however, we will need to maintain a financial system and civilisation for this to be affective.

What is the BEST way to sell Gold & Silver.... She says she can 'barter'... How do you barter with a 1oz Gold coin (worth $XXXX) when you need to go to the grocery store and the bill is $XXX... for some reason, no one seems to ever address this

Of course, it's supply chain doesn't change, because the currency changes. In the event of a currency change, it's the go to choice, because it can be traded for the new currency, and used as a currency in the interim period. The value of the trade during a transition will likely vary a lot, but I could see stores posting something saying one ounce of silver = X amount of currency advertised for that day. That's what I would do, as long as I didn't think the government would come and shut me down for doing it, or raid my bullion.
I hope that anyone reading this would accept it and encourage it over would-be controlled alternatives. Reject cbdc's / accept pms. It's that simple.

The greatest tool to check is pslv which is currently 7.78 per share which is .3517 of a ounce so .$22.12 a ounce or .73 cents below spot for physical silver. They have in stock over 176 million ounces of silver. The demand from central banks buying gold is easy to explain it is all the countries bypassing sanctions on Iran and Russia. Because those countries are removed from the swift banking systems gold is there only trade Venice for now. It is not something they want to do but is being done to bypass those sanctions. Gold and silver are headed down. Answer me this question about silver if over 70% of a product was made for nothing what is its value. Silvers by product mining is what destroys the silver prices and will do so for years to come. Zero chance of a country going to a gold standard as that is the death of a country. Only gold and silver dealers who have peddled there fear on there customers believe that line of crap. Look at a 100 year chart hell a 150 year chart. The market has blown the socks out of metals. For the vast majority......it's not bad news......it's horrendous news. Time has run out and the prepping craze has gone bonkers on price and availability of items. It takes lots of time to prep anyway....so stacking as much as possible with so little time left is really all there is for most.
