- In this video I talk to a coin shop owner about silver demand and why he is selling out of silver and gold. We talk about how the smart silver stackers are buying up all of the silver while silver price is low. Now is a great time to be silver stacking or investing in silver. Silver price is the lowest it has been in around 7 months. We talk about why silver price is low and gold price is low and what affects gold and silver prices. We talk about Costco selling gold bars and how the Costco gold bars seem to be always sold out. I also ask Harry what the best type of silver is for silver stacking right now. Harry says that low premium silver such as silver rounds and junk silver is the best. Silver coins and silver eagles can be good as well. A lot of local coin dealers pull their stuff off the shelves when the price goes down and put out the stuff that usually does not sell (culls and so forth) .

I'm glad Harry is doing so well, but this is definitely NOT what I'm hearing from other local dealers in my area. Sellers with all the dealers I've spoken with are outnumbering buyers by 5 or 6 to 1. People are hurting for cash.

I think this really varies depending on where you live. Some areas are being hit hard in this recession and others aren't as much

He makes money on the spread. Silver could be two bucks or two hundred bucks an ounce. It doesn’t matter to a retailer: HE MAKES MONEY WHATEVER!
He's a dealer, he makes money on margin, doesn't matter what the price is doing to him.

Costco also loves having loss leaders that don't make them money but get people in the store to buy the rest of the stuff. Could be what they're trying now

He’s making lots of money and that’s his bottom line. Nothing wrong with that. He plans ahead and is scrupulously honest. Silver Dragons, however, hates the gub’ment and blames “Worshington” for his own personal problems.
I was just at his shop last Friday. And the price being so low I actually bought kangaroos which are the only government ounces I have now. Harry is always an awesome person to work with.
With prices dropping like this I bought all I could in gold and silver online.
Most people buy when silver is up, NOT when it's down. That never made sense to me, but that's the reality.
Harry is the best! Keep doing videos with Harry and crew! They are so nice, honest, and informed.
When silver hit 20.98 for a few minutes, I jumped on it. In conjunction with a sale on 10 ounce Pioneer bars (51% off the premium) I was all in at $23 an ounce. I bought a lot, and am pleased with that opportunity.

Harry is selling out because he prices his precious metal products fair and according to market. The shops that got stuck with inventory at last month's spot price don't want to take the haircut, so their metals sit in the display case.
I agree. I have visited many of the other coin shops in the area and Harry’s is the most fair I have seen. Fair when buying or selling. I have witnessed both sides. Harry is great.

I absolutely loved the Ebay Bucks... stacked a bit at or below spot... how sweet it was... then they slowly phased it out...
Remember Bing cashback up to 70%? I spend a year just buying things on ebay, getting 30-50% back and reselling the same item on ebay. Even after fees, it was easy money. Remember the 100% mail in rebates on antivirus software? Same thing, I'd buy some every week then sell for whatever on ebay because I was getting 100% rebate anyway. Credit card companies used to give 20,000 dollars for six months for $75 flat fee. You could put it in the bank at 5% and just pay the minimum payments out of it then pay it off at the end. And of course I missed bitcoin at 10 cents a coin and even $300 a coin which made all the rest look like nothing.

I enjoy these guys. You can see the passion. Unfortunately margins are razor thin.
My theory on the costco gold is that they bought them a long time ago at a low and held them to see how high it would go. Then thet got scared on this last drastic drop and dumped them.
I don't think Costco is in the business of speculating. That's like saying SD Bullion or other businesses that accept bitcoin as payment are going to continue to hold it in the hopes it goes up. You know they are probably converting that to cash as fast as they can.
lol... So Costco bought gold for a long term test... then got scared because we had a recent dip not as drastic as the one a year or so ago but it still made Costco all-of-a-sudden decide to reduce their holdings?

I think it's possible. Idk how possible but I heard they have jewelry shops in Costco and that's where they were selling them so there is the point to be made that they did already know the market

Harry has such an awesome attitude, I honestly have a strong feeling his optimistic nature would not allow him to admit if he was actually hurting.
The only surprise is that gold has held up as well as it has. It should have dropped below $1800 weeks ago and was thinking it would dip to under $1750--maybe under $1700. It still might and will be under pressure until the Fed turns dovish once again. This assumes there is no banking or global issues, of course. I will be buying my next 1 oz gold coin once spot hits $1800.

Walmart sells gold and silver, they carry AMPEX. But they charge sales tax even though Indiana does not require it.
You can call customer service and ask them to take off sales tax after purchase. They will credit you back the tax..

I bought 100 oz of Silver rounds when it's price in CAD was 35,20, now it's 33,10, but for whatever reason, i do not care much. Guess it's a good sign. It's just interesting to watch how the prices go up and down and learn along the way to make better decisions for the future. No way i'm giving up, happy buying everyone!

Similar at the LCS here. I got out the door yesterday afternoon with their last on-hand tube of Charlie-brits (Yuck! At least Liz looked decent!) for $579. They had *ZILCH* for generic rounds, a handful (15-20, maybe? didn't try for an exact count) of Krugs, an even smaller handful (6 or 8) of painted eagles, a grand and glorious total of 3 plain eagles (backdates - no 2023s) no junk dimes, only a dozen or so junk quarters, and a whole 3 10-ounce bars (with none of them being the buffalo bars I like - one of 'em looked like it fell out of somebody's pocket in the parking lot and got run over a few hundred times before somebody noticed it and dragged it inside, washed the road-crud off it, and tossed it in the display case to take up some empty room so it didn't look quite so barren)
Little as I care for their looks, I guess I'll be content with brits for a buck and a quarter over spot. An ounce of silver is still an ounce of silver, regardless of how fugly the guy stamped on it is, right?
I don't know what it is about junk quarters, but I'm with you, SD, I have tons more halves and dimes. Love Mercuries, love Walkers!

Costco in Perth have been selling from half oz gold right up to half kilo gold bars for well over a year now , hope they start selling silver soon .
The Perth Mint is down the street. They manufacture excellent gold products. Better quality than the US MINT.
Costco in Uk get there supply form bullion by post and you have to fill a form in with your details on when buying it . They only sell 1kg silver bars , 1oz gold Britannias , British gold sovereigns and various gold bars 😃👍

I stack mostly ASE, if I were to sell right now, I would take a big loss. But, I bought them for the long term and the low spot price keeps me from depleting my stack. There's always other ways of getting funds without touching my Silver.

I think how things are selling might vary depending on where you live. I've heard some on UA-cam say that things are really moving, like Harry, while others are having difficulty moving product and are selling back to wholesalers
Colorized Eagles are great, I don't collect them but it was my first bullion piece as a gift. Without that colorized Eagle, I may not be watching today with my meager collection.
Brandon knew what he was talking about with people using their credit card getting the 2% back from purchases and then an additional 2% from the executive account when buying gold or silver from Costco.
Ebay bucks ended years ago and yes Costco card holders get 2% back on their Costco credit card plus those that have an executive membership also get an additional 2% back at the end of the year. So that is 4% for a Costco member that has both.

Costco sells rand bars too.
Also when they first offerd the pamp bars earlier in the year they where like 30-40 underspot +2% back if you have an executive card and 2-4% depending on credit card but after a month of selling out instantly they upped the price

I guess it just depends on where you are or where you go. My LCS still has loads of silver, but I bought out all their dimes and they have about 40 quarters left. However, their gold sovereigns were pretty hot this week.

Purchased six 10 ounce silver bars very cheap this week for Christmas gifts to grandkids ( along with some cash ). Never thought it would dip this low. Wow only $27 for Eagles.
I remember paying $16 for eagles about 6 or 7 yrs ago. Before that I bought eagles for $30, $27, $25, $22.
I buy from my coin shop, but prefer to go online. Online is cheap, but takes a little longer to receive.
So what? What’s so bad about waiting a few days in order to pay less? Huh? You Americans are selfish and unrealistic. You need to be satisfied immediately. Ever hear of delayed gratification? I guess not - you probably think that more highways will reduce traffic jams.

And there's low unemployment, so hardly anyone's selling, they have disposable cash.
Must be nice. I have to spend $1000+ to avoid sales tax. Guess it helps me DCA.
I bought 5 ounces of silver yesterday, I did my small part.....I get paid tomorrow, and will be buying 10 more ounces.
Costco sells them for a small premium over spot, however members can ONLY buy 2 maximum and they are consistently on backorder.
When spot decreases like this, online dealers and LCS will be "out of stock" on most things
Important support was at 22$ and that support are now broken. I looking to stack up more at 19-18$ and if this support level not hold we might see lower levels on silver. Not FOMO in and stress to buy silver now.
I'm glad I didn't listen to all the people telling us to buy gold and silver for the last year. I just gold 100 silver eagles for 25$ a piece and 5 oz of gold for 1845 of buffalos. Moral of the story never buy when prices are high.

I bought 15 silver quarters yesterday.
I personally would rather buy any type of coins at a brick and mortar store than online only if they accept credit card and that is what is stopping me buying coins. If I had to buy one type of coin it would be the Morgan Silver Dollar. If I had to advice anyone else what to buy first it would be buy the book of what coin you want to buy.
I buy all the time, every Saturday ... so I buy dips and also and when it is high, just not as much.
Many UA-cam silver stackers in the know. Are informed that silver and gold would be dropping for the next 6 months. That information was given 2 months ago so it should drop a little more for the next 3 to 4 months.
I’m saving a good amount of money because I listened and so I’m by now and the months to come.

Far as I know the Japanese Yen value went down. Making the U.S. dollar value go up (micro-deflation?). So stronger dollar value made gold, silver, gasoline, etc. prices go down.
Whatever. Stock up on food, fuel, gold, silver, currency AND toilet paper. Then rest.

Its election season so month of October is buy gold or silver. November and December real numbers conning out what the real state of our country is in. Inflation is out of control and no slowing down the way the government spends money it will never slow down. Love the video.
