- After scoping out a new Barn Owl location in the autumn I return to find the chances of barn owl shots impossible. So with that in mind I head up to an old location with many wildlife possibilities. Having not been there for months will the wildlife opportunities still be there or will I come back empty handed.

Great video Scott! I am fascinated by the throwaway comments such as referring to the fox watching the cows’ direction of view and the cubs taking the bones out to play with them. Wonderful details to look out for. Thank you.

great video foxes and badgers are my want to see animals, i will get there one day, had some amazing encounters with barn owls this last year.always ready to learn thanks for sharing

Great video …hoping your thoughts on the fox cubs pays off …can’t wait to see them 😀. Any thoughts on what kind of fields or areas to try for barn owls ?
Thanks, I'm sure they are in the area but perhaps not out of the den yet. For barn owls I always klook for land that is either scrub or grass and not cut too often. If you think about it you need an area where there food source can live (mice/voles) They prefer long grass and undisturbed ground to hide and build nests etc.👍

The problem is that you stick out like a sore thumb. I would use a 3d camo suit. Very light weight and make you disappear. Great place to shoot though.
Hi Terry, fair point. Normally I dress for the species I'm going to photograph. On this occasion Iit was more of a recon of the area so drab clothing was the order of the day. As an example with fox I would camo up. Badgers don't require it and with barn owls a bit of scrim netting does the trick.👍
