ah, well I was thrown into the incinerator, died, and given credits. See I thought that's how it ended. I never noticed the holes cause I was so focused on the test. I got REALLY disappointed. Second ending isn't that much better. Honestly Harry I think this game could've been a lot better but I mostly enjoyed it :\
Indeed, I have been seeing reviews on steam and comments on videos like this one, still need to try it, but to be honest, paying for a mod that almost everyone is disliking in something hard to do.
in case any of yall don't know this, "TAG: The Power Of Paint" was a game created by students of the DigiPen institute. Much like Narbacular Drop, the concept and precursor of Portal 1, the creators of TAG were hired by VALVe to help develop the gels seen in Portal 2 from the concepts they had used for TAG; i.e. spray paint that allowed you to run fast, spray paint that allowed you to jump high, and spray paint that allowed you to walk on walls..... so its pretty cool that somebody would make a mod that highlighted the world of those freelance game designers.......... just a little history, is all
what a good idea! For a second part of aperture tag they could add that gel that allows you to walk on walls. new test chambers and boss fight. I like the way it sounds. Thanks for the inspiration
The only problem about the game is the goal, there is no motivation to it. The first Portal have cake, the second one have freedom, but this one made the testing leaves you questioning: "Why am I testing with the robot?" "What's the point of this?" "Why should I complete these?"
I was quite curious as to how the story went. Who was this new character? How did he come into being? How does he relate to Glados and the fall of Aperture? Who was that voice he was talking to at that one point? I think the suspense is what keeps you testing. The ending, not answering any of these questions, was I think a very cool way of doing it, becuase after leaving this game, you STILL don't understand the backstory. Although some may find this a little cruel, I don't. Leaves allot of room for a sequel too. Besides, I'd just keep playing for the awesome music! :D
I know everyone seemed to be really disappointed with this mod, but I actually thought it was awesome. I really hope there will be a sequel, but I doubt that will ever happen.

BlibzoStudios The reason the anti gravity gel was scrapped was because it gave playtesters motion sickness. So.... I don't think it would be a good idea to add that..
SirMalorak I'm talking about a gel that was not in this game or Portal 2. It was a gel that allowed you to defy gravity. That gel was scrapped by valve because it gave the playtesters motion sickness
When I watched Jack play this, I heard the music and thought, “why does this soundtrack sound as amazing as something made by Harry Callaghan?” This answered my question
***** The alternate ending of the game implies that it takes place AFTER Chell leaves the facility, after the ending of Co-op, and before Art Therapy. The green gooey thing the character emerges out of looks like the co-op vault's test subject cryo storage thingymabobers, so that's one thing. In Art Therapy, GLaDOS admits that all the test subject in the vault died (she could be lying though), so that's where the "before Art Therapy" thing came from. I think Nigel's testing protocol was written by Wheatly, GLaDOS found it, and gave it to Nigel as a little experiment.
PaperPlayerX The events take place after the events of Portal 2's cooperative campaign's Mobility Gels course, and before the events of the Art Therapy course, in the Aperture Science Facility, while GLaDOS had finished building the Aperture Science Paint Gun. A test subject wakes up in an Aperture Science Extended Relaxation Center's restroom ready to begin his test. He is introduced to Nigel, a personality core and his test associate. He then is put through a series of tests featuring the Aperture Science Paint Gun, Aperture Science's final product. When the testing is over, Nigel was surprised that there was someone to complete every single test chamber and thinks that he is the proper one to deactivate the old Aperture Science Stability Stable Energy Reactor, the energy supply of Aperture Science, as a new one was built. Nigel is really surprised that he made it through so easily and decides to put him through another round of tests. Near the end of the test, the test subject accidentally breaks into a maintenance area of the Aperture Science facility, which happened to be the Emergency Intelligence Incinerator's control room. The test subject learns about his fate, and decides to close the fire area, so that he survives. When he reaches the end of the test, Nigel doesn't know what's wrong with the Incinerator, and claims that "he is actually happy that you didn't have to die", so he lets the subject out of Aperture Science. The outside is finally revealed when the "room" malfunctions and the truth is revealed. The outside was a simulation of Aperture Science, much like the one in the end of Portal 2 (according to Thinking with Time Machine, which isn't canon to the Half Life/Portal Universe) THis is the wiki article. Also, what is the Art Therapy Course?
He said he had Das sha vu no idea how to spell about space this line is after he said portals aren't anything out of this world so it supports that theory.
ah, well I was thrown into the incinerator, died, and given credits. See I thought that's how it ended. I never noticed the holes cause I was so focused on the test. I got REALLY disappointed. Yeah they should've added the gel that was scrapped from the final version of the game that let you defy gravity
BlibzoStudios The reason the anti gravity gel was scrapped was because it gave playtesters motion sickness. So.... I don't think it would be a good idea to add that..
DogLuver2002 Wat.
I played through Tag quite a lot and it didn't make me motionsick. That'd mean that Mario Galaxy makes you motionsick, lel.
SirMalorak I'm talking about a gel that was not in this game or Portal 2. It was a gel that allowed you to defy gravity. That gel was scrapped by valve because it gave the playtesters motion sickness
DogLuver2002 Ah, okay. Alright.
The citranium is a lie
It's not a lie if you get some of it.
When I watched Jack play this, I heard the music and thought, “why does this soundtrack sound as amazing as something made by Harry Callaghan?” This answered my question
What does the red fizzler do?
It kills you
oh yea derp :P
In this game it just kills you but in PS:Mel it also destroys cubes same in Portal 2
It’s a retextured laser field: kills you but not cubes. In Mel, it also fizzles cubes
whY End On sUch A sOUr nOtE
THIS IS PURELY AWESOME OH MY GOD
That tube is long! Right?
So this game is suposed to be happening in the 60s, after GLaDOS' death or while portal 2 is happening?
This doesn't match in the timeline...
What?
It's before the Art Therapy course of CO-OP.
Omg the bit when you go in the water once you escape, it reminds me of the Truman show xD
T was an Obvious reference wasnt it?
buy thinking with time machines
