Light Straw Clay - homemade, natural insulation for the Long House walls!

This summer (2023) Orchard Barn Volunteers are making and packing Light Straw Clay into the cavities between studs and enveloping the Long House in this amazingly low impact natural insulation. YES! It complies with modern Building Regs.This lovely video shows the making and packing process. It was made by Volunteer Jack Trewin when he came to stay for a month. Thank-you Jack. That said - we urgently need more help to close the building in before the end of September (so the insulation dries before winter)! Are you available? Could you stir local clay and make a clay slip?
