Hi I’ve just put an update video on my channel for my new home cinema setup check it out man I’d appreciate it it’s pretty cool if I do say so myself

Great setup congrats! How dows the upfiring atmos speakers behave? Many people claiming to be snake oil and to have the real deal we must instal in-ceiling speakers? Thanks
The atmos speakers sound better if you put mount them near the ceiling. I noticed a huge difference when I switched from just having them on top of the towers. I use a 5.2.2 setup right now will go to a 7.2.4 when I have the space.
Awesome man, I finally completed my system a few months ago. I have the same setup as you, minus the Dolby Atmos speakers, and i'm using the Yamaha Aventage RX-A1060 reciever. Very happy with it! Oh, and I got the 15 Klipsch sub too. Want to add a 2nd one later.
Nizm0350z very very nice! I bet it sounds incredible especially with the subs. When you can get yourself a pair of Atmos modules for the front that's all you will need to get even more immersion. Let me know if you decide to go that route.
wait am i missing something? im no expert in speakers but they are wired right? but i dont see any. what receiver are you using? and your floorstanding klipsch are those the rf-7 ii?
jc garcia haha no you aren't missing anything. I've ran about 250 feet of wiring underneath that carpet, it took some time but it's looks like it was professionally done because you can see any of it. I have to work on the wiring of the front left and right channel but now that the system is fully complete I'll take an hour one day to get those two looking like all the others. As for the speakers no they are the Reference Premiere line RP280F towers with 450C center 160M surrounds and 140SA Atmos modules. The Receiver is Yamahas Aventage Flagship RXA-3060, It's a serious system for sure.
Thank you! I like the modules very much. My issue isn't with the module but with the mic master recording from the studio. They should add more Atmospheric effects to movies.
Mr Manuel yes it completely works. Every system is different and the experience can be completely subjective based on many variables. From my experience and from what you see in this video it works extremely well. You hear things above you as if it's in the ceiling, it's surreal and works 100%. Im going to do a video on this topic subscribe and stay tuned. Ive realized that not anyone has done a comprehensive review on this topic.
Myself I think the Oppo 4K player is the best on the market that was a good selection by you I have one and picture on that specially with my LG OLED TV plays great
"system is complete" ummmm yea I'd say so lol............That is one beast set up you have there. Are the upfiring atmos speakers worth the hype? I'm looking to add a pair of Klipsch RP-140SA as soon as I upgrade my receiver.
Value for money you can’t go past the Yamaha RXA 3080 with its balanced inputs and outputs for stereo, great at atmos Dtx receiver. If you can go the extra the Marantz SR 8012 is the way to go if you have a 7.2.4
You have the same philosophy that I do; build your house around your home theater!! It looks like an incredibly small area for such a large system but who cares. It looks great and probably sounds amazing as well. I'm not sold on the up-firing front and rear ATMOS or DTS-X speakers. Are they just as good as true ceiling speakers?? I'm trying to decide which route to go. Any advice??
apiece ofdirt thank you, I'm in an apartment and while yes it's extreme overkill; why not if you can afford it. I actually am able to take advantage of the system just cant turn it up to anywhere near it's true capability. I can though turn it up enough where it's unbelievably immersive and is jaw dropping. As for the modules yes they are impressive but as in my review video it's all subjective based on equipment that you have and your room. In this particular system I'd say it's about as good as in ceiling. Whatever you do definitely upgrade to Atmos/DTSX. Things sound like they are coming above me all the time with this set up. I couldn't be happier but every system is different. The capabilities of the AVR I believe have much to do with the atmospheric effect you get whether module or not. I have a very capable AVR if you get a lower grade one Im almost certain it would put out the same amount of clear presence. What type of system are you considering building?
kwazykilla87 I'm right there with you as I live in an apartment but it's an upstairs unit but I have ceiling access so I can install ATMOS ceiling speakers. My Onkyo TX-RZ820 is my centerpiece but it's only 5.2.2 capable. My speakers..........I don't know if I should mention because so many people hate them but they are the Bose Acoustimas 10 series 5 speakers and I purchased an additional 2 to make it a 7.2 system. The Bose bass module just isn't enough so I bought an SVS sub and that makes a huge difference. I wish I would've waited until I could've afforded a 9.2 system because I'd love 4 ceiling or up firing speakers but I got my current receiver at a great price. You are correct because it does come down to personal preference. I've only heard a comparison of ceiling and up firing ATMOS/DTS-X speakers in a controlled environment so I was wondering if someone such as yourself, that owns them if there's that much difference. I can't turn mine up all that loud either but enough to be able to enjoy it however when my downstairs neighbor leaves during the day I can crank it up. I've just started putting things together and want it to blend in with the room BUT it's how my wife and I enjoy movies so I don't care if it takes up the entire area but she does so I can't go crazy with it. If I could have my way I'd put a surround system in my damn bathroom. I'm working on a small system for our bedroom. Any advice on lighting? I got the Phillips light strips and Wi-Fi connector and a sweet Harmony remote. My speakers are all mounted on the wall but I wish there was a way to have lighting around each speaker. Any and all advice you can give would be great. Klipsch makes some awesome sounding speakers so I bet your system sounds incredible. Every thing is in its place and there aren't wires everywhere so you did a great job installing everything as well to!!
apiece ofdirt The RZ line from Onkyo is absolutely great. The AVR is the foundation to any system and you have one that delivers raw dynamic power with ease. As for the Bose acoustimass if it works for you then that's all that matters. I'm actually very familiar with that system because my father had it at one time. I agree the sub is the weak point of that system so since you have a great sub and AVR I'm guessing you are in good shape. If you can install in the ceiling I'd say go for it but if you decide to go module you won't be disappointed. I will say match up the Atmos speaker as close as possible to the other channels, that's always the biggest thing that many people compromise on which can effect the synergy of surround sound. Haha I'm the same way as you, I'd build a surround sound system In every room of my apartment if I could lol. As for cranking it up yea I just switched my schedule to Thursday's and Fridays off and my entire building is empty those days so I'm going to start having some serious fun with what I have. Unfortunately I don't have any thoughts on lighting since I generally turn off the lights. It's a topic that I haven't put much thought into I'd probably do some LEDs around the back of the tv shooting to the wall if its not wall mounted. I might eventually do that at some point. I just bought a new 4k tv a couple days ago and it's an utter beast! I may have to get the leds for it. As for lighting around the speaker I wouldn't want to highlight where they are positioned so that you aren't able to identify the position visually. I would think that it would enable a more effective surround sound because your audible senses aren't being distracted. One tip if you don't already have it this way in your system is to try and wall mount all your drivers at ear level or use stands but have them no higher then ear level when you are seated. I see so many systems where it's extremely high and that hinders the effect in many ways. Lastly I want you to know that front Atmos is excellent and you aren't missing all that much by not being able to do the rears. It's nice to have of course but not much content is currently utilizing the rear height as much as what we will be seeing once it's implemented more down the road in a couple years or so. Thank you for the compliments, the wiring is can be a tall order and I'm going to get the front stage fully cleaned up it's just been crazy constantly expanding and changing things. Things are completely finalized since I bought the new tv so the next step will be to fully hide front stage wiring and do the LEDs on the back of the tv which you just reminded me about. If you ever have any questions I'm always here to help.
That's a good question. Personally I think going with separates is better then going with an entire module. I say this for several reasons. First it's less of a complicated crossover so if something were to happen with the unit it'll be easier and less expensive to fix. Also for resale I believe it'll be much easier to sell as separates than an integrated unit. Lastly having the ability of positioning gives you vast options for your environment over an integrated unit which doesn't have that ability. Hope this helps.
@@InChristJesus87 yes it absolutely does! I was thinking of the rp280fa out of cost (cheaper than to buy the separate upfiring?) and convenience. But I like and see your points and it now makes more sense to go separate. Thanks and I like the meaning of your username!
@@InChristJesus87 another question if you don't mind. Would you go with the upfiring or simply just bookshelf speakers mounted almost at ceiling height? I ask because on the forums I have read, upfiring speakers are a gimmick. But I much prefer an opinion of someone who actually has them versus an armchair critix
@@reikasdad so to answer your question I would go with the object enabled modules. I completely understand what you are referring too as in regards to forums and reviewers. When I completed this endeavor I realize that the majority of people had no idea what they were talking about. As far as the experience you will absolutely notice a huge difference, now keep in mind that set up/positioning is critically important to the difference that you'll experience. For example if you have a bad lay out like the majority of people have your results will be diminished and it can be significant. Keep in mind that the objective of a surround sound is total immersion. When I say that I mean that you are completely immerse in a way that you aren't thinking about the positioning of your speakers but are enveloped by the experience of the audio. If you notice many peoples theater rooms they make huge sacrifices because they are limited due to the area they have with their surround sound. You want to keep you listening position In a bubble just like how my set is. Every channel approximately the same distance and correctly positioned; this is absolutely key! As for the object enabled it works very well. Keep in mind that you have to have a flat ceiling and it will create primarily two effects. Either it will take your soundstage from what you are use to which is standard front stage to a front stage that is like a curtain from ceiling to floor and wall to wall. For example in the new Independence Day movie where the main character is rescuing the satellite from falling that entire scene is the size of your entire wall top to bottom left to right. It's astonishingly impressive. The other effect is where it's specifically targeted location. For example in the New Ghostbusters movie there is a scene where they go into a lab and turn on the lights you can here the flourescent light as if it's literally on your ceiling and you can hear the static discharge as if it's literally there. It so uncanny that it messes with your senses and can trip you out. Another scene with The Great Wall before they go to battle and the elevator is being pushed by men on the wheel you can hear the elevator go up the wall and up to the ceiling. Keep in mind that they are targeted effects so you won't hear it the entire movie it's only on specified things throughout the movie. Also something to note is the depth is from the wall to about three feet from your sound stage. It will not reach necessarily to above your head. There are some effects that will sound like it's above your head but but it's extremely limited. I've only heard it on two different effects. One was the Dolby Atmos digital cube intro and the other was The Magnificent 8 where they walk into the cabin with the dead man and you hear flies because of the dead corpse. You could hear a fly buzzing directly above your head. At first I thought it was a real fly that was flying around me that's how accurate it was. However primarily the depth of field is about three to four feet from the wall to you, if you have 11 channels then it's a bubble. The more channels you have the better that immersion is though. The reason why you want object enabled instead of a bookshelf is because the frequency response pattern is specific and those object enabled modules are tailored for just that. The other reason is that in the mixing of that audio track at the studio they are designing the sound to reflect, which in a real environment gives you the actual true effect. If you go to a bookshelf or position it on the wall it will take away from that immersion because it will sound off. You will here it but it won't be seem less as if you had it bouncing off the wall. You do have to turn up the gain DB on the Atmos channels probably to the max. I have a powerful AVR and had to do it on mine. Lastly I wouldn't recommend doing rear Atmos. Only one movie that I know of which really takes advantage of it and that's deep water horizon but boy is that an insane experience. I hope this answered your questions. If you have any others let me know. Also I appreciate your comment about my profile name, thanks.
These speakers have a lot of low end but a sub will compliment this system very well. Keep in mind a sub lives in the low Hertz range so it's going to fill it in nicely. If you have a house I'd say go for it as long as it's a quality sub.
@@InChristJesus87 Thanks for the reply, I am just doing some research into what I should save for. I was looking at the Klipsch 120's maybe a pair of those nice low frequency woofers to complete my setup
i have the V385 of that Yamaha AV receiver ( mine is the 5.1 ). Since it has Dolby Atmos and DTS HD Audio and 4K, the 2 R-26FA Klipsch floorstanding speakers should have a good clean sound with it. I might need to get some kind of adapter to connect the 4 plugs on the 2 floorstanding speakers to each 5 plugs on the back of the receiver.
Patrick Duffy thank you very much! It is ghost in the shell. I'm a huge sci-fi fan and this has become my favorite sci-fi movie, I just absolutely love it. First time I saw it I watched it twice back to back. As for the 4k print i actually prefer the bluray version more. The color palette is a bit darker on the 4k version. I believe it's a Dolby vision movie which would explain because my tv only does HDR10. My Oppo however does an amazing job at upconverting the bluray so it looks phenomenal in its bluray format.
Patrick Duffy I need to get Lucy it's one of the ones that I've been wanting to get my hands on. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is released tomorrow in 4k that's probably going to look amazing. Another worthy mention is The Great Wall sound is amazing and colors explode of the TV.
Very nice system you got, I have a question hope you can answer... Do you use an amplifier for your towers ? (Stereo amplifier) or did you connect them directly to the reciever?. Cheers. I have an Onkyo 5.2.2 with Polk/JBL but planning on buying some towers since I have bookshelf spks in the front.
Electric Funeral The towers are connected to my AVR. I can wire my Emotiva 2 channel amp to the towers but that’s 75wpc continuous and since I’m in an apartment I might blow the walls out if I did that. The AVR gives me more than enough power, I have to turn many of the settings down and it still ridiculously powerful if I turn up the volume. At every level this system is insane; I just don’t know how else to describe it.
kwazykilla87 great, I've read the specs on your avr.. it's a beast. My Onkyo is 130 w/ch @ 8ohms 175 @6ohms would you recommend getting an amp or will my reciever be enough for this towers or similar.
Electric Funeral thank you. First thing I would recommend is to try and run all the same speakers. Meaning from the same line or series. Reason why is because the purpose is to be envolped in an experience that’s uniformed. You don’t want things to sound off kilter because they aren’t matching. This will also ensure that your channels will have matching ohmage . As for WPC the rating that you are referring to is always @ 2 channel driven now again depending on the brand rarely is it truly at the rated amount and that’s even @ 2 channel. I believe Onkyos are pretty accurate on this however you are running an entire system so with the number you stated you will get more like 45 to 55 continuous WPC. So to answer your question if you have efficient speakers you should be fine if you have power hungry speakers then you may want something with a little more oomph. Never hurts to test it out but remember It’s all relative so if they are somewhat efficient then test and see if they get loud enough for your living conditions.
kwazykilla87 Hi there. How are you? My Subs? Ok. I got 2 Subs for my Home Theater system. I bought the KLIPSCH THX ULTRA 2. It's a 5.2 System + as I've mentioned before, got the KLIPSCH RP-280FA Dolby Atmos. so the Height speakers are already built in there so 5.2 + my 2 Klipsch atmos w/ Height channels + Surround Back L&R Channels + The Front Wide Speakers L&R for a 9.2.2. So basically, i have used all my connections to my Onkyo NR 3030.
Mel Arcilla8 doing well thank you. So to understand you have the THX system with the 280FA to complete an 11 channel set up? If so how does it sound??? Sounds like an awesome set up.
Mel Arcilla8 I should have asked if you the 280s blend well with the THX system. I haven’t had the pleasure of hearing the THX system but I can’t imagine how they sound. I have heard the RF7 and thought they were a bit bright.
100% it's so effective that's it's scared the crap out of me on instances during movies. I remember a scene in a horror movie where people were in a basement and the scene was focusing on what was going on down there but all of a sudden someone started running in the first floor above them in a smashing fashion and it was so real and violent that I thought my ceiling was going to come down on me. I literally was spooked to the point that I jumped out of my seat because I didn't realize it was the movie when it occured. lol it was like the reaction I would have had if I realized an earthquake was starting.
The only issue with atmos is that it's only as good as it's implemented. Some movies have atmos but they don't have too much atmospheric things going on. Some movies are full of it like deep water horizon. More and more movies are getting more atmospherics added to them so it's definitely worth it. As for immersions it will literally trip your mind out because its so real
How do you like Dolby Atmos Enabled? I like the idea of your atmos speakers because if you don't end up liking Atmos enabled, than you can always just mount the speaker at a later date.
Zimba's Doom Corner exactly, I love them they work extremely well in giving added depth and dimensional sound over head. The only issues is the content but like I said in the review more and more is coming. Of your a gamer it will blow you away.
I heard an Atmos demo of the movie Everest. They were in ceiling and it sounded so good, very immersive. I'm curious to try out Atmos, but can't put in ceiling speakers. Do you know the difference between the two Klipsch Atmos models? It's hard to tell. What games are in Atmos?
Zimba's Doom Corner yea it’s pretty awesome the modules are amazing you won’t be disappointed. Whatever you do buy the RP series. The Reference series are in my opinion crap. As for games I believe the first official game will be Star Wars battlefront 2 on the Xbox one X. I will add that the Yamaha does an amazing job with games not being in native Atmos allowing the height to be utilized through its propriety algorithms. Video games are mind blowing on this system. The atmospheric effect sound even better in games then in movies.
so do you feel like Klipsch has any short comings for home theater? I'm strongly considering them because their center channels and overall design seem to be geared towards HT. I have Wharfedales for a stereo setup and their center channel designs look puny and ugly compared to Klipsch. I'll probably end up just having two seperate setups, music and HT.
Zimba's Doom Corner I’ve heard nothing but great things about Wharfedales I’m sure you must enjoy them greatly. As we well know speakers are purely subjective but frankly I believe that for home theater surround sound application this is the best system you can possibly purchase for the 2 to 4K range. The center is remarkably accurate and has significant extension throughout the range, the large cabinet allows for broad deep lows. The entire series has remarkable dynamic prowess which allows it to be so amazing for movies and surround sound applications. The refined elements that they have done with the tweeter and horn have allowed the top end to be accurately pleasant and not shrill like old Klipsch speakers have become so known to be. Only shortcoming I would have to say would be with the Reference line. They should have not even released that line, and since they did they should have named it something else as to not confuse the consumer from this Reference Premiere line that you see here. The RP line is in another Universe compared to the Reference. I’m actually planning on doing the same thing where I will be getting a separate pair of speakers for just stereo music listening sessions. In comparison to higher end speakers designed for stereo the Klipsch are ok in that regard but their are so many other better options for critical listening. I will say though that with the equipment I have the Klipsch RP 280s are impressive for the price point on the stereo side of things. If you lived in Texas I’d offer a listening session.
andrew wilner they absolutely work however they truly work on DTSX ATMOS content. Also keep in mind some movies utilize it better then other. Overall I've noticed that with every movie release which is becoming more and more the audio track is better on the atmospheric effect. Also the the other channels sound better then the would with dtshdma and Dolby true HD
kwazykilla87 I've been thrilled with the experience klipsch has delivered and I must say the bigger the better just need the rp450ca and the 2 15's and replacing the r15m with the rp160 and rp250 the atmos is out of this world.... powering everything with marantz and a external amp
Edgar Saucedo i couldn't agree with you more. Especially Atmos it's just unreal. I live in an apartment and wish I could run dual subs. I unfortunately have my entire system neutered on the low end and it still wants to blow the walls out.
Could you really feel the inmersive audio of the atmos speakers when you place them on the top of the fronts?? Most of the users recommend to ceil the atmos speakers because they work better
Home Theater Addiction personally for my set up absolutely, it was astonishing. Granted many variables are at play, is it possible that every user isn’t getting the effect sure. For my set up though it’s was very apparent. It was such an immersive sound field that at times it seemed like my ceiling was alive. I remember I was watching the conjuring and the scene where the little boy was in the basement and the demon went running above him upstairs. I literally jumped out of my couch because it sounded like it was my upstairs neighbor, I almost crapped myself. It’s the real deal. You just have to make sure you increase the level on your amp. I had to max my level out on my AVR and I had a pretty powerful one.
When you check out UA-cam video reviews, 50 percent of the Streaming is dominated by klipsch for one reason. Klipsch speakers provide a decent sound for a decent price. People always say, what are you seeing in most home theaters? Klipsch. ... The main reason for that is they spent all their money on the home theater. I personally I’m a fan of definitive technology and if you go to Best Buy and listen to the demos they have available, you’ll hear there’s obviously no comparison. If you want true room filling clear non-distorted sound at movie theater volumes. Its worth spending a few extra bucks for the definitive technology series. Just saying...
Susan Ciarrocchi I’m personally not a fan of Def Tech and in terms of dynamics this system here in my opinion is superior to what they offer at a Best Buy. I actually have a buyer who’s picking this system up tomorrow and I’m upgrading to B&W 702S2 with surrounds. Most of Klipsch consumer products really aren’t that good. It’s at the Reference Premiere and up where Klipsch really offers excellent value. The Klipsch stuff at Best Buy isn’t any good. They don’t carry the Reference premiere in the magnolia theaters any more.
InChrist87 how much is ur setup in total bro? I’m curious because I’m trying to get a 5.1.2 setup of klipsch. Also, would love to hear some recommendations! I live in a 115m^2 apartment, trying to setup in the living room (it has enough space). Thank you
you sold the yamaha 1050 and got the 3060!! awesome.. i just upgraded my 260's to 280's and so happy i am. also sold my 1050 and got the 3050 instead not much of a difference with the 3060 i believe and it its a good match.
Regor Sanera yes I did! You know exactly what I have because you get to enjoy it yourself :) yea practically no difference between the 50 and 60 series. Hope your enjoying!!
have you calibrated your yamaha using the ypao mic? it seems i am not happy with the results whenever i turn that on it makes all sound super flat and i have no more bass and so i reset it to the factory settings. hows your take on that?
Regor Sanera Personally I'm not a fan of YPAO like you experienced; it just hinders the system. The only thing that it's good for is to measure distance between channels. Everything else it's better left on through for parametric EQ. You could also buy a laser that measures distance they can be a little pricey but that way you can reset your AVR and set the distance levels manually in the event that YPAO changes something that we are unaware of. I haven't bought the laser but at some point I will so that I can have it dialed in 100%
i did measure it manually and its way better. it makes my speakers shine and perform best. i do turn on the ypao on a factory mode settings and it boost a little db and makes it more full sounding.
Regor Sanera glad to hear. It took me some time to dial things in and figure out all of the settings available. Once you get use to the options you have you'll see it's better to dial it in manually.
the receiver is better, Denon or Marantz, in addition, the room is not acoustic, the sounds are very loud, if there is an acoustic room, the klipsch sounds well, mainly mid bass
Duviel Hernandez not necessarily no. But it did inform me it was on. What solved my issue which is very possible you are having the same problem was that I had to turn up the level to the max on those specific Atmos channels. When I did this I then could hear the Atmos effect clearly
kwazykilla87 I have a Samsung 4K js8500 beautiful TV don't get me wrong but my OLED LG TV blows it out of the water trust me now you will not regret getting an OLED I'll tell you one thing I would love to have your sound system together with my LG C6 65 inch I would be f****** in heaven PS my LG OLED also has the 3D that's what I miss about these all new TVs no 3D is awesome even on my Samsung I have 3D and the 3D on my OLED unbelievable
Jack Farias haha well you have good taste sir! Frankly I believe that OLED aren't as good as everyone is hyping it to be I have quite a bit of time with OLED since my best friend has one. I think it's the future but I don't believe that the technology or support is really there at this current moment. Ive had a JS9000,KS9500 and now a Q7. I see two main issues with OLED. 1 judder and motion handling are extremely poor. The hardware that they are putting in the panel doesn't have enough horsepower to give you good motion handling. The A1E Sony with the X1E chip may have solved this but LG is very behind on this. The other and it's in my opinion the biggest issue are the so called "perfect black" claims technically speaking it's only perfect black based on the source material for example demos that are encoded to shut off the led for black it's able to reporoduce properly however in real world scenarios like watching a 4K movie the led doesn't shut off and this is because the TV does what the information on the disc is. Studios during post production are putting information on black and dark scenes so what this translates to is extremely dark and noisy scenes. I'll give you an example if you watch Batman VS superman 4k on an OLED in any dark scene it's not perfect black it's dark and grainy on the dark scenes, it also translates to lighter areas making the entire dark scene almost unwatchable because it has no detail and the panel doesn't have enough dynamic depth due to the bits of the panel. If you get close you will see undividual leds flickering dark browns and grey and all shades of black but it's not off or jet black. It's because the movie isn't formatted in that manner nor is any movie done that way. Maybe Dolby vision but anything that's not is this way. This is on any 4k player with monstercable ultimate black premium cable. 4k in my opinion is all about HDR and to have the true capability of HDR you need brightness and color depth. The Samsung tvs blow OLED since out of the water with HDR and frankly the contrast ratio is as good and if not better in my option to the OLED. The only negative LED panels have are light bleed and blooming. Light bleed has been solved with with the new QLEDs the KS line greatly improved over JS on that. However as for bloom it's extremely infinitesimal compared to the huge gains that it has over the OLED. Everyone has their viewing preference but honestly to me OLED is no bueno. Yes the Oppo is the best bluray player hands down! Love my unit.
kwazykilla87 I have no problems with the judder or anything else maybe it's the wires you guys are using on that TV because I have no problem whatsoever with oled or anything else my oleD TV works perfect. I had a problem with my Samsung with judder a lot until I got better wires and then it works fine now when I just stuck with those wires I got them from Best Buy called Cinnamon hdmi wires work fine ever since then had no more problems
Srikanth Yadav 🤣haha yea it’s coming from those towers.. 4, 8 inch drivers that get to as low as 32HZ enclosed in massive cabinets that pump out a ridiculous amount of air through a port you can almost fit your arm into. You tell me if you think they produce bass. If I cranked them up I’m positive that I’d rattle my apartment building that has 12 large units. Heck those small bookshelves that you see as surrounds would destroy any tower in its price range in terms of the low end they produce and those are a single 6 inch driver. When I play battlefield it literally sounds like I’m in a war zone. It’s scary how real it is.
gabriel madrigal haha I don’t have kids you’re right. However I have the speaker bolted onto the stand by the base of the speaker and I have those stands full of sand. The entire unit weight easily is over 80lbs. I’ve sold this entire system though I’m working on a new one.
Nothing beats a complete set of 7.2.4 without a beer in the middle table haha... nice setup
Hahaha nice observation.
Hi just seen your video for the first time nice setup there and that movie ghost in a shell absolute classic
Thanks
Thats klipsch 😍😍 great sound!!!!
Do the Klipsch paired with Yamaha sound bright?
Nice set up. What speaker stands do you use with the rp 160's
The atmos speakers sound better if you put mount them near the ceiling. I noticed a huge difference when I switched from just having them on top of the towers. I use a 5.2.2 setup right now will go to a 7.2.4 when I have the space.
Does the reflection on the ceiling sound good ?
Awesome man, I finally completed my system a few months ago. I have the same setup as you, minus the Dolby Atmos speakers, and i'm using the Yamaha Aventage
RX-A1060 reciever.
Let me know if you decide to go that route.
is not Polk audio s60 better than klipsch?
jon bergstrom
I don't know what to buy
where did u get speaker stands; what is brand?
Great setup!!
Which series speakers is this?
You're right. I do happen to have a Klipsch RP-280 FA Dolby atmos Loudspeakers
wait am i missing something? im no expert in speakers but they are wired right? but i dont see any.
what receiver are you using? and your floorstanding klipsch are those the rf-7 ii?
jc garcia haha no you aren't missing anything.
Nice set up you have there how do you find the Atmos modules. We have those in our family room but I have in ceiling speakers in the theatre.
Thank you! I like the modules very much. My issue isn't with the module but with the mic master recording from the studio. They should add more Atmospheric effects to movies.
InChrist87 agreed
Where did you get your tv stand at? I couldn’t find one that would fit the center. Nice setup beautiful..
same here
Looks great only thing left is to upgrade the display
Do those Atmos enable speakers really work? That whole bouncing sound to you ceiling down to your listening position does not seem plausible.
Myself I think the Oppo 4K player is the best on the market that was a good selection by you I have one and picture on that specially with my LG OLED TV plays great
Yoo that center speaker holy fuck haha
"system is complete" ummmm yea I'd say so lol............That is one beast set up you have there. Are the upfiring atmos speakers worth the hype? I'm looking to add a pair of Klipsch RP-140SA as soon as I upgrade my receiver.
How are you liking the Yamaha? I’m interested in purchasing one. My choices are the Yamaha RX-A3080, Marantz SR8012, and Denon AVR-6500h
Value for money you can’t go past the Yamaha RXA 3080 with its balanced inputs and outputs for stereo, great at atmos Dtx receiver. If you can go the extra the Marantz SR 8012 is the way to go if you have a 7.2.4
And the link to the cabinet....Bad ass set up...
If you ever have any questions I'm always here to help.
height speakers sound just as good ceiling speakrs just a hype
InChrist87, would you recommend the having the upfiring speakers built in to the cabinet like the rp280fa or have them separate like you have done?
Wow I just realized how long that was. I probably should do a video on this because I know how much misinformation there is about Atmos and DTSX.
Would you need one of Klipsch's Sub woofers to complete this? Or do these speakers already have enough Base in them?
These speakers have a lot of low end but a sub will compliment this system very well. Keep in mind a sub lives in the low Hertz range so it's going to fill it in nicely. If you have a house I'd say go for it as long as it's a quality sub.
@@InChristJesus87 Thanks for the reply, I am just doing some research into what I should save for. I was looking at the Klipsch 120's maybe a pair of those nice low frequency woofers to complete my setup
@@AmbientAnalogue tell me about your room and current gear. Also what's your objective. Are you going for music or home theater
i have the V385 of that Yamaha AV receiver ( mine is the 5.1 ).
You have some nice equipment there my friend. Were you watching the 4k Ghost in the Shell? What did you think of it?
Patrick Duffy thank you very much! It is ghost in the shell. I'm a huge sci-fi fan and this has become my favorite sci-fi movie, I just absolutely love it. First time I saw it I watched it twice back to back. As for the 4k print i actually prefer the bluray version more. The color palette is a bit darker on the 4k version. I believe it's a Dolby vision movie which would explain because my tv only does HDR10. My Oppo however does an amazing job at upconverting the bluray so it looks phenomenal in its bluray format.
kwazykilla87 Sounds great. I've got Lucy in 4k and Blu-ray. Both look amazing! ;)
Same here but i figured why wait i might as well have them for a bigger place
Got it backwards lol 130@8 / 170@6
Never hurts to test it out but remember It’s all relative so if they are somewhat efficient then test and see if they get loud enough for your living conditions.
kwazykilla87 ohhh okay I get it now. Thanks a lot for your help. 👍
Nice set up. I got the KLIPSCH RP-280FA Dolby Atmos 9.2.2 config..
Mel Arcilla8 very nice what subs are you using?
kwazykilla87
Hi there. So basically, i have used all my connections to my Onkyo NR 3030.
kwazykilla87
I also have a separate Power Amp & a pair of Loudspeakers & a 1 sub for my Dedicated music listening only.
Which are the front towers? RP260 or RP280?
Sriram Balasubramanian 280F
That center channel could be used to comb your hair in the morning.
Does the atmos effect really work with those speakers?
❤️❤️ Klipsch😍😍
Ya doing it big bro......I see ya....Shit looks good man.....😱
Jermaine White yea its killer man. In part you motivated me to keep going! I'm glad you did because I absolutely love this system.
TOP!!
Do the Dolby Atmos speakers acullly work ?
andrew wilner they absolutely work however they truly work on DTSX ATMOS content. Also keep in mind some movies utilize it better then other. Overall I've noticed that with every movie release which is becoming more and more the audio track is better on the atmospheric effect. Also the the other channels sound better then the would with dtshdma and Dolby true HD
Compleet boofar its fraise
Wicked set up congrats on blowing a lot of money but it's worth the investment have the exact set up now all I need is the projector
Edgar Saucedo thank you sir! Sounds like you're in for a real treat as well :)
kwazykilla87 I've been thrilled with the experience klipsch has delivered and I must say the bigger the better just need the rp450ca and the 2 15's and replacing the r15m with the rp160 and rp250 the atmos is out of this world.... powering everything with marantz and a external amp
@@InChristJesus87 DO MEAN INCREASE HEIGHT CHANNEL LEVELS? AND HAVE YOU TRIED MUSIC
@@InChristJesus87 - I didn't see any sub-woofers, did you have any?
What's hooked up to the emotiva amp ?
Redline2695 the rear ATMOS channels
kwazykilla87 Oh alright I see
Side note: it sounds like you have a sub in there !!!! Lol
Redline2695 🤣yea the bass is ridiculous and I have it turned down as low as the receiver will allow me to.
kwazykilla87 😂 lmao damn man that's crazy, tomorrow I'm suppose to be getting some RF-7's hopefully
Redline2695 very nice! Are you getting the third version? If you are getting new ones I know a place that will give you a killer deal.
wow...nice
dusty nutz thx
the receiver is better, Denon or Marantz, in addition, the room is not acoustic, the sounds are very loud, if there is an acoustic room, the klipsch sounds well, mainly mid bass
niice
Hi I have same Yamaha receiver and I put Dolby ATMOS movie but it doesn’t say Dolby ATMOS on the front So I believe my Dolby ATMOS is not working
Duviel Hernandez hit the button on your controller that says “info” and tell me if it shows now.
kwazykilla87 thank you for your fast response i will check when i get home in about 30 mins.
Duviel Hernandez sure thing, I had the same problem and when I called Yamaha they instructed me to do this and it solved my problem.
kwazykilla87 did you notice any difference after fixing it?
Duviel Hernandez not necessarily no. But it did inform me it was on. What solved my issue which is very possible you are having the same problem was that I had to turn up the level to the max on those specific Atmos channels. When I did this I then could hear the Atmos effect clearly
Don’t want to know what everything cost. Haha must have been a fortune. Do you still have both your kidneys?😂
That's one beautiful system you got but I would have went with a nice 65 inch OLED TV that would be the best
Jack Farias thank you for the compliment. I actually just purchased a 65 inch QLED, personally not a fan of OLED.
kwazykilla87 I have a Samsung 4K js8500 beautiful TV don't get me wrong but my OLED LG TV blows it out of the water trust me now you will not regret getting an OLED I'll tell you one thing I would love to have your sound system together with my LG C6 65 inch I would be f****** in heaven PS my LG OLED also has the 3D that's what I miss about these all new TVs no 3D is awesome even on my Samsung I have 3D and the 3D on my OLED unbelievable
Jack Farias there’s OLED and then there’s everything else.
Super. But where is the sub ?
Srikanth Yadav im in an apartment. Already too much bass
haha
Bass is coming from those tower speakers right ?
It’s scary how real it is.
kwazykilla87 oh that is fucking amazing!
Good job,,,,,Try to hide all your speaker wires
Sound Tech haha I hear ya most of them are miscellaneous plug and play wires but you should see the back of the entertainment stand.
what the name of film?
Андрей Тушов Ghost in the Shell.
thank you
7 . 1 . 4 KLIPSCH
Sounds amazing! But I don't think this guy has kids otherwise those rear speakers are in danger of being knocked over.
gabriel madrigal haha I don’t have kids you’re right. However I have the speaker bolted onto the stand by the base of the speaker and I have those stands full of sand. The entire unit weight easily is over 80lbs. I’ve sold this entire system though I’m working on a new one.
And now you can with sonya ht a9 do
En get the same:)
why so many speakers you don't need that much weste of money
