NTC 335 hope it has a 13 speed behind it. Great old Pete glad there's hope for it. It would've been a fine ride in its day. Won't be anybody sitting around 60 years from now looking at today's trucks and talking about how cool they were. If any of the junk survives.

Them old style aluminum rims are my favorite! Also...when they used to put lights on the quarter fenders.

Had a 68 Pete cabover had stacks in corners of the cab. Had a 318 in it. Never cared for the cab corners knotched out like that. But was a nice old truck. That’s a gem. Was always a Cummins man.

The motor sounds great. Looks like someone was taking parts off of it.

Them 335 Cummins were a good engine. Drove one back in the seventies. Nice truck.

335 had tapered nose crankshaft. They where know to break off ! Like the early 350’s they had an aneroid air/ fuel control valve that was external
of the fuel pump. They where easy to tamper with, but the result for the most part was excessive smoke on acceleration. In the 70’s at became
a feature on the “ AFC “ PT fuel pump ( Air Fuel Control). and was integral to the fuel pump body casting. Remained that way till electronic fuel
control made the scene. The messed with “ Step Timing Control “ on the twin turbo 475 hp NTA’s and some California engines with mechanical
advance on the cam boxes, not sure but the “ 444” had some sort of oil pressure sensing injector timing advance but it was a failure due to
internal oil leakage. By the late 70’s the 335 was a thing of the past, and had no aftercooler. 350 that replaced it wasn’t that big an improvement,
but the cranks where better. One applications with heavy loads, pulling 140k gross day to day, it wasn’t uncommon to see heat crack fissures in
the piston crowns. A not abused NTC 290 was the best engine for dependability back then. I drove a new 77 352 with a 435 Silver 92 back in the
day, but I was always a K100 guy. Drove an 82 VIT for 26 years long haul. NTC 400 BC 2 not a powerhouse, but was dependable if you stayed away from Cummins Recon parts.

Super truck. What had it been used for before it got parked up? Screen won't suffer from condensation.
