As a retired lawyer licensed in two states, I am appalled by those Trump lawyers who have committed crimes. Every state Bar imposes a code of ethics on every lawyer. One of thoses rules of ethics is to avoid the mere appearance of impropriety. And the commission of any crime involving moral turpitude nearly always results in disbarment. Such lawyers are a disgrace to our profession.

Yes. The most direct and permanent way is to get Congress to authorize expanding the court and balancing it with 3-5 new justices. We need a Democrat Congress and Senate and of course WH for this. A balanced SCOTUS will neutralize this toxic theocratic one.
I don't care what party brings in SCOTUS judges. I care that the judges are honest, honorable, and impartial. Judges should not favor a party. They need to follow the laws and ensure that they are fair to the American Public. That said, several current judges need to be investigated and prosecuted for crimes if found guilty. Ethical standards should be instituted and enforced by congress. If congress established the SC, congress should be able to establish and enforce ethical standards on the SC.
The Bar should also take action against the multitude lawyers who keep pushing BS lawsuits and motions on Trump's behalf, to stall action against him. Like the endless delays they cause in Florida and the documents case.

A really tremendous step which the legal system could take in order to recover a large part of its legitimacy might be to correct some of the issues in the SCOTUS. People would take that really seriously, including lawyers.
Yes. The most direct and permanent way is to get Congress to authorize expanding the court and balancing it with 3-5 new justices.
We need a Democrat Congress and Senate and of course WH for this.
A balanced SCOTUS will neutralize this toxic theocratic one.
I don't care what party brings in SCOTUS judges. I care that the judges are honest, honorable, and impartial. Judges should not favor a party. They need to follow the laws and ensure that they are fair to the American Public.
That said, several current judges need to be investigated and prosecuted for crimes if found guilty. Ethical standards should be instituted and enforced by congress. If congress established the SC, congress should be able to establish and enforce ethical standards on the SC.

There's a difference between practicing law and being a judge. You don't even have a current law license when you are a judge. Similar to you can purchase a vehicle without a license, you just can't legally drive it.
