That's why that kind of behavior is called corrupt. When a Supreme Court Justice owes gratitude to a donor, the donor has a right to demand that his direction is to be followed. The Supreme Court Justices had been obligated to decline "gifts" in order to remain neutral. When they chose to accept gifts and then take direction from their donors, that is when they broke the law.

There should be a Constitutional Amendment to establish a fourth branch of government - The Inspector General. This organization would be responsible for monitoring the ethics of all other brackets. They should have the power to investigate and prosecute. Their most important tool would be compulsory tax audits of all senior members of the government! POTUS, VPOTUS, Congress members, and any member of any branch required to be confirmed by the Senate. This would include all judges, generals and heads of independent agencies, like USPS, FDA, EPA, etc.
All of this is so very concerning and on so many levels! The Constitution needs a major upgrade: everybody is entitled to their own opinion but nobody is entitled to their own facts. The 1st amendment should demand a higher standard of politicians, that all of their public speeches should be supported by factual proof.

The 14th Amendment implies that "no man is above the law." If NY Major Eric Adam's is being indicated for public corruption, why then, is the Supreme Court not being indicated for doing the same thing? Article III states that Congress has the power to regulate them.

Thanks for the explanation concerning the Supreme Court. Their ruling concerning presidential immunity makes a lot more sense now... they want immunity, i.e. no oversight. They used their presidential immunity ruling to justify their stance on their own immunity or lack of oversight.

I work for a VA hospital and drug companies can’t bring us treats and goodies anymore. Pens and donuts might change how we prescribe. Every year we have mandatory ethics training. The abuse by the Supreme Court is appalling.
I've been at Doctor's office when Pharmaceutical Companies bring in lunches for Dr and entire staff from Red Lobster, Olive Garden another bribe to prescribe their drugs. VOTE 💙 down ballot 💙
There should be a Constitutional Amendment to establish a fourth branch of government - The Inspector General. This organization would be responsible for monitoring the ethics of all other brackets. They should have the power to investigate and prosecute. Their most important tool would be compulsory tax audits of all senior members of the government! POTUS, VPOTUS, Congress members, and any member of any branch required to be confirmed by the Senate. This would include all judges, generals and heads of independent agencies, like USPS, FDA, EPA, etc.

The Constitution needs a major upgrade: everybody is entitled to their own opinion but nobody is entitled to their own facts. The 1st amendment should demand a higher standard of politicians, that all of their public speeches should be supported by factual proof.
Consider: all office holders should be licensed and bonded and sign a contract requiring a strict code of ethics. All other professions are licensed,, why not politicians and judges.
