As a kid growing up in 70's NYC, we had curriculum called Social Studies in elementary school (grades 1-5, which I think would be Year 2-6 for the UK equivalent). Social Studies focused on subjects like American History, Geography, and Cultures. We learned all about the Americas - the US, Central and South America, as well as Mexico and I can remember learning all about indigenous cultures like the Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas. I can understand how all that history would be lost on someone from outside the US. Great vlog as always. Lovely to see you have a great time on this trip!
We'd love to find out more about the history. Unfortunately the Planetarium show launched as straight in to some very detailed Mayan astrology without much context - we could have done with a "beginners" level first! 🤣 Hoping to go back at some point and see and learn more. 😊
There's a gorgeous national park in Cozumel with great snorkeling. Also an area in the middle of the island with Mayan ruins, really a must-visit. Super weird that a planetarium was part of the tour😂
We wanted something to give us an all round "beginner's" guide to Cozumel that didn't involve getting wet and this did a good job of that. We'd probably choose a tour to the Mayan ruins if we were there again just to see a bit more of the real island and its culture. 😊
Love an escorted tour now and again. Good way to see highlights if you have limited time. Central Cozumel does look touristy but that’s ok. Going off grid in Mexico can be dangerous, so popular tourist areas are safer. imho. Take Care Lovely Cheers Ears Family. ❤️🌈
Hi guys, how did you find the weather on your cruise ? I'm looking at doing something similar itinerary to you guys at the same time next year but a bit concerned about hurricanes / storms.
The Fantasy adult decks were great and very spacious (compared to our experience on The Wish) and we did find some of the evening entertainment/shows in the Tube were definitely more geared to adults so a Disney cruise during term time would probably work but there will still be some younger children onboard. Deffo something to do with future grandkids though! 😊
hi keith and Tracey glad you like my mexico I live in Mexico City and I have never been to Cozumel but to other beaches as beautiful as it like Cancun, and Ixtapa that is in the state of guerrero and also glad you liked our food the mexican coke is amazing I drink it directly from the bottle I prefer it that way 🐭
It's a Pandora necklace from their Disney range - a couple of years ago so not sure if they still do it. It's mainly for adding charms but it works really well for glasses! 😎
We were told that you can't film the Disney original shows but it's ok to film the variety acts as long as the light from the viewing screen doesn't impact others' enjoyment. We were very mindful to only film a few little clips so as not be a distraction for people around us, The acts are usually already in the public domain via websites and social media and it also helps to promote them too! . 😊

We'd probably choose a tour that went deeper into the culture if we went again now that we've got an idea of what to expect. Thanks for watching! 😍
I remember a cruise I went on in 2019 on Royal Caribbean and I went to Cozumel in Mexico and when on a Dolphin excursion
We've heard Royal Caribbean are amazing - maybe we'll give them a go at some point.😊
My husband and I went on that trolley tour last month and had the exact same tour guide. He was great. We also went to the same restaurant. XD
He must be on commission for recommending it! 🤣
Nice... ❤️🙏👍

We were lucky and managed to avoid the storms as they hit after we left. It was VERY hot and humid though! 🥵
Glad your loving your cruise, would love to sale the Fantasy ❤️
It was great - we would thoroughly recommend it! 😊
Love a cruise but never done a Disney one as at my age prefer adult only type cruises but maybe when grandkids older?

Was that Ruth Langsford doing the voiceover at the planetarium???😂
🤣 ..maybe she's moonlighting now she's single!
@ 🤔🤭😂
I didn't think you were allowed to record in the theaters?
