I was carried up the chain ladders in 1972 by my parents in a papoose when I was tiny and remember playing in the muddy river on top. Thanks for sharing 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Hi Daniel, Loving your videos! Used this one to test my kids resolve for doing chain ladders this weekend. Happy to report a wonderful up and down the ladders, and night on top, with my kid. Also thoroughly enjoying your other videos! Thank you!
Hi Simon, I'm very glad to hear it! Inspiring others to get out and explore is probably my biggest reason for putting these up - I'm happy it went well!
Thanks Em 😊 I remember us first thinking about it years back, then after the hectic weather on that December trip, so glad we finally made it happen! 😁
At 2.30, when you sit down, it is virtually the same spot where Tom Pinkney fell in 1947. He is still there, about 300 meters from the top. This is a truly magical area and it is worth visiting as often as you are able to. But make no mistake, these mountains are treacherous and you must do your research before attempting to experience the Drakensberg.
Awesome video bru. That clip at the end....GOLD!!!! Well done! Been up there once, was so misty visibilty was like 5 meters, need to go back someday. 🤙
Thanks for the love! Spectacular place, definitely worth seeing in clear weather - had the exact same experience a couple times before, so it felt so good to get get in clear weather
It has indeed! At the time of the hike, Angel Falls still held the title, so it was really cool finding out afterwards that Tugela Falls has taken it's place
This was in January - while you do have the risk of thunderstorms, I definitely think summer is the best time to go. The rain means you see the falls in all their glory 🌧

Such a special part of the world :) done a fair bit of travelling now, but I've never seen a view quite like the top of the Amphitheatre.

A very important comment - these places are truly wild, and the consequences of not respecting them properly can be devastating
This was a great video. I really want to go there now. Hopefully soon.🤞🏻🤞🏻
Thank you! Hope you get the chance 😁
Thank you!

Correction* Tugela falls has now officially been named the highest waterfall in the world.
It has indeed! At the time of the hike, Angel Falls still held the title, so it was really cool finding out afterwards that Tugela Falls has taken it's place
Nicely done bro! What time of year was this?
Thanks! This was December
In December we gonna do this

Nice Dan
Thanks brother 🙏
Absolutely stunning!! So glad to see young adults enjoying nature. Awesome!
hi, does the hiking permit you obtain at the Sentinel Car Park, also allow you to camp overnight at the top of the falls?
It's a different permit, but yes, you can get it at Witsieshoek mountain lodge on the way to the Sentinel car park 💁♂️
What time of the year did you go?
This was in January - while you do have the risk of thunderstorms, I definitely think summer is the best time to go. The rain means you see the falls in all their glory 🌧
I wish to go there but I'm scared of hights🥺
😫💦 soo good, would love to go on this route sometime
Thanks brother 😁 yea you'd love it!
Yeah that’s pretty high
needs insulin
На видео больше смотришь на ноги чем на водопад
Мне очень жаль, что я должен быть первым, кто сообщит вам об этом, но пеший туризм включает в себя много прогулок - это не все виды водопадов!
