Woah you have got a lot of pressure trying to meet the expectations of the last " Revise all the themes of Macbeth" video, but I am sure you can exceed it.
It remains such a joy to me that someone teaches like I try to teach - searching out so much more from literature than just the 'bog-standard' interpretations and essential knowledge. I continue to refer my students to you!
Thanks Jill, I really appreciate that. I feel, as you probably do, that teachers in school no longer have the time or subject knowledge to do this. It is one of the reasons A level literature entries are in freefall, down 27% since 2017. That, and the dreadful style of exam questions from AQA.
Hello, I was wondering as a current Year 10 student moving into year 11 whether you could do some updated revision videos to revise for mocks, and maybe some overall topic summary videos that are relevant for our year group? Thanks, Megan
hi Mr salles, is it possible for you to do a video comparing Gothic literature in Frankenstein and other novels so we can compare it with the strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. i remember you saying in a different video it would get you in the top bands if you could compare different texts. it would be much appreciated and thank you for all the amazing videos. the style of this new video is great!!
hi mr salles, when talking about the 1844 factories act, you said that acc was published before it was released but then go on to say that the act triggered the writing of acc. im slightly confused but otherwise great video
at the least they'd give you a 6, if you had a positive attitude and were always on task you might get a 7. It's a sticky one because I got 5 in all my mocks for RS but in gcses I got a 7.
ty1 I don’t mind if I officially get a 6, as long as my teacher predicted I would get a 7. My sixth form said if I was predicted a 7 by my teacher, they would let me do a level maths. Do you think my teacher would’ve submitted a 7?
@@lil_nut2232 honestly can't tell you as I don't personally know you. but if you're planning to stay at your sixthform, then if you get a 6 but actually work hard at maths and are sensible I'd assume they'll be lenient and let you take maths, since maths is a pretty popular subject

hi mr salles, when talking about the 1844 factories act, you said that acc was published before it was released but then go on to say that the act triggered the writing of acc. im slightly confused but otherwise great video
Yes, so Dickens was campaigning for changes to child labour when he wrote the novel, and the Act addressed this
20:19 LMAO WHAT 💀💀
Thats why Mr Selles is way more better than 99% of the teachers in UK. Love from Hong Kong❤
Thank you! Happy Christmas
Heya Mr Salles! An annoying question but how would I revise for A Christmas Carol? Aiming for a 9...

Hi Mr Salles, can you please make videos on King Lear, Duchess of Malfi and Streetcar? It would be extremely helpful for my alevels 🙂
Ur acc an ethereal being

thankyou sir , ill be doing my lit in a couple days , tell you how it goes. smiley face emoji
title is a bit misleading, i expected actual themes within the novel and quote analysis e.t.c
Yes, I know what you mean. I'll change it.
Please can you do key themes on Romeo and juliet
If I got a 5 in all my maths mock exams apart from my most recent mock where I got a 7, do you think they’ll give me that grade 7?
