I love to make a curry when I'm out camping and take dry rice with me so I add the rice plus twice as much water by volume (cup of rice, two of water) and then bring that to the boil. I then wrap the pan with lid up in my towel, then wrap it up in my sleeping bag-making sure I keep the pan upright. Then I put the bundle away in my tent for 45 minutes while I do other things and prepare the rest of my meal. The rice continues to cook without any more heat and as an added bonus it also warms my sleeping bag up too! Perfect rice with only actually about 5 minutes cook time.
You could try pre-prepping most of these meals at home and then vacuum sealing them. It would save you a lot of prep time and cooking time. The Bolognese dish and the prawn dish could be made at home, then you would vacuum, sealing and freeze. You would only need one pan to reheat.. Also, pre-prepping the vegetables and then vacuum sealing. Also, freezing, all of the protein meats that you’re going to use would also cut down on some white instead of taking freezer packs. But you would have to be organised to be able to use these on the second day or third day of your trip.
I'm with you on the cooking experience. Instead of the freeze dried meals I'll do a Knorr package of linguine and add grilled chicken that I cook up before I boil water for the Knorr. Much less expensive and health-wise, not too bad. Also more fun to make. As for soup there are good soup packs that you add to boiling water. These are a better alternative to carrying cans. Nice video!!!
I love the triumph 900 and want to buy it as soon as I get my RN licence. What did you start out on or what would you recommend? I'm trying to avoid the scrambler 400
That was a great vid Rob, Have watched your series and am blown away by your food choices, and the ease and utilization of what you have on hand. I see you used your Firebox stove metal arms for skewers, Brilliant. What i would like to see is how you transport these tricky food stuffs, Zip lock, Plastic food containers, other types of containers, eggs, butter, Oils, herb, to mix in with your Ice bag ( beers of course included) and in what order so as not to make a huge food bag, or as you have eluded to not having salmon juice contaminate your ice. Cheers.
Not a chef, but I like to think I know a thing or 3 about cooking, and I've been known to make all kinds of good stuff while moto camping. One of the advantages of camping off of a motorcycle vs backpacking is that weight is less of an issue, so more items can be brought. The bike is carrying it, not the backpack. That being said, some of my favorite camping meals have been pesto chicken pasta, carne asada tacos, and breakfast burritos in the morning.
I really don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers. Your videos are always entertaining and natural, not the usual over the top youtube dip shits.
Got a 3 stack grill you can put wood or charcoal all of the utensils are a match setup the 3 stack is side by side and wood burner on the end it's all chrome heavy steel grills and flattop grill. All of it bricked into to make 1 awesome setup
Your video is absolutely awesome everytime and helpful for moto vloging❤️I follow you in your two channels I have a request please can you give link of your egg holders? Keep it up my bro👍
@@MotoFeelz yeah mate it’s on a few of our trips the gold trail vids were epic remote ,it’s a little fold down unit packs away to bugger all we cook rabbits roast pork and lamb ,spuds in the coals eat like a god .hard days prospecting and pushing through tough bush make ya starving noodles ain’t guna fix that mate
Disagree with budget adventure comment,I like to think the cooking experience is part of camping & touring, all the kit is there. There is no need to live off beans & toast fcuk that I did that year ago, quality food & drink on my trips, what’s the point in going ?
Nice video! The only thing I would suggest is not to eat meat every single day. The risk of getting cancer and other health issues increases, it harms the environment and most of the farm animals live in horrible conditions
Na mate you’ve got it all wrong. You can cook all this high quality stuff at home. Your going out for a night so can rough it. A piece of steak on a grill is as high quality as you need to go. Baked beans on toast, scrambled eggs, done!
I take my fly rod with me on trips from time to time. Something about catching your own dinner. Good times!
Super vid! I’m motocamping for the first time in a few weeks so I love these tips. Thank you 👌🏍🎥
This is such a great way of portraying motor life! You have an awesome vision and an artist's touch!
Thank you so much 😊

Really like your small cutlery pouch, any info on it ?
Hi, can you please tell me what Brand and model of mattress do you use in tent?
some solid options. I'm glad you did so many. I'm still working on my camping cook kit. that sea to summit alpha pan seems to be the way to go.
Yea I haven’t found anything better yet. You’ll know when I do
@@MotoFeelz I'm trying to decide between that and the collapsible pot they make with the funky lid and little side tabs.
