  • My husband Luke and I have been dieting for a month now. He has lost 17 pounds and so have I. Brendon and Hailey seen how we were getting healthy and asked if they could start the Optavia with us. They are both doing great and now our Lean & Green Dinner is being made for our entire family. It really has helped me change the way I make meals. Yes, we will
eat snacks and ill still bake but its helping me to make sure I create more fresh and lean dinners. So my haul
Turned into an entire family weekly dinner haul. Eating fresh sure costs more but worth it!!!

The Jenni-O Italian sausage is labeled as such. For future purchase the packaging has red ends and the word Italian is in caps and red. The italian has seasoning and rosemary extract. The regular you bought has sugar in it.😊❤

It's wonderful that you are modeling healthy eating for your family! That is something that will benefit you and them for life! I just want to say though, that eating healthy does not have to be more expensive. In fact, in my experience, eating healthy and balanced is actually less expensive than if i were to choose more "unhealthy" food.
Here are some of my hints: shop fruits and veggies in season and in bulk when you can. Costco and Sams often have the best prices on berries and other fruits and veggies. Look at what is on sale and on clearance at your local grocery stores. Often times when produce sits on the shelf for a long time they will discount it. With a large family, you'd have no issue going through the food before it goes bad! Center your meals around whatever protein you can find on sale and stock up when it is. Finally, meal plan based on what you already have in your fridge and pantry and only go to the store for what you need to complete those meals. Ive been able to successfully keep my grocery budget around 50 dollars a week (oftentimes less!) just by doing those things. Granted I am single, so multiply that by how many members in your family! Good luck! It gets easier the more you eat a balanced diet!
The fancy "health food" is what makes eating healthy expensive, don't fall for it!

Looks great!! Everyone says it’s more expensive but really it’s all about planning and storing the food properly it will last in the fridge what you don’t use. Ground turkey is not too expensive usually. It takes practice but gets easier. I use my air fryer all the time and it gives food a crispy texture the healthy way. Look into making turkey or chicken cutlets. My kids love them.

I have severe crohns disease and I've had all but one metre of my intestine removed. This restricts what I can consume and unfortunately when I was fed through my veins they kept clotting which has caused many issues. Anyway I have to force feed myself because it hurts but I need the nutrients. I love to eat fruit and vegetables and I find if I peel them first and cut into small pieces it's easier to digest in small amounts. So for example I peel cucumber, carrot I grate, I take the outside string off celery etc. Some other ideas are turning fruit/some vegetables into a puree and make it into sorbet. You don't get the crunch but because you don't cook it, it still tastes like the raw product. I also dehydrate produce and then turn it into powder to have with milk or as a smoothie to get as much of the health benefits as possible. I don't know if it will help you but I thought I'd share just in case. I wish you all the best with your health.
