How much are your dashcams and how do I send the video footage to you guys?
i think we need a new series of people getting in the way of ambulances
@@lanajayne9275 Absolutely
i continue to wonder, do the cops ever actually take any notice of these videos?
@@keithclark8354 I doubt it, they don't do they're job properly, always eating coffee and donuts
"F*ck! There's a huntsman in the car!!!!"
"Ok, wow - good spotting."
That's a woman you want by your side.
I’m a bloke and I’d be shitting my self 😂
The amount of OK's coming from her makes me think he's VERY arachnophobic. Translation "It's only a spider, lets not crash the car for a spider please". She did very well at just calming and giving direct instructions so there was no rash decisions by the driver.
I think she was saying the ok's to the spider.
8:54 for anyone wondering
@@bradfox3427 , lol they say it's not the big visible ones that gecha, it's the small ones you don't see! It's crazy that there is a video of one with it's "babies" running about on the dashboard of a car. Idk why AU has many large scary things but in the States, I remember as a kid working in horticulture and you had to "weed" thousands of container plants. The worst fears were the black widow. And what's messed up is you'd frequently find them on/around the containers. Many times the containers even had spider-like spirals of plastic from the mold still clinging to the drain holes. That'd freak people out because you weren't sure for a second if you just grabbed at that or a black widow.
Spider bites weren't as common as one might think tho. One girl was bitten by a copperhead in the field. And most of us had been "popped" by venomous caterpillars, especially those which change color to whatever plant they're on and then there are the "saddlebags". x_x
This is the best I've seen so far. Absolutely mind boggling that anyone wld stop in front of an ambulance & not get out the way.
why didnt the ambulance swerve to the left sooner
@@josephchung19 have to stay in the right lane can’t go in the other in case of collision.
Ambulance drivers are held responsible for all driving mistakes and collisions even those that would not be their fault normally speaking.
So, the ambulance had a choice to go left and undertake....but had the cammer or any other road user behind hit the ambulance....ambulance driver at would be held to be at fault...at least by their (usually) piss weak management.
The ambulance theoretically has the right of way and normal people get out of it's way...
So the ambulance driver stuck to his right of way right until he realised the driver in front of him was an fwit and was parked there for the night.
Then the ambulance driver took a chance and moved over to go around....note that the driver in the lane to the left of the DC was still moving forward and might have been stupid enough to switch lanes into the DC lane...and have collided with the ambulance...
Ambulanes should have massive push bars mounted on their fronts....
The dumb driver must've thought that it was the police.
Who knows? Could be an international driver that doesn't speak English.
8:58 the calmest reaction to a huntsman I’ve heard 🕷
...but the driver still decided to completely unnecessarily stop and block a lane because of a harmless spider.
@@crashdiet1518 Unnecessarily? Hardly.
I thought he said Husband - I couldn't figure out what was going on......
@@BadDriversOz - Dealing with a creeping crawly like a huntsman is deemed a reasonable reason for stopping in a No Standing zone. While a huntsman isnt poisonous, it can still give a nasty bite.
@@Ryanthusar Very few spiders (and only one species of snake) are actually poisonous. There are many venemous snakes though, and every single spider species, including the huntsman, is venemous. For the most part though, their venom doesn't do much to humans except hurt.
I always play ”predict the idiot”, and this episode was unusually difficult. Well played!
It's a smart thing to do when you go out there every day into the Smooth Brain Circus.....
Plenty of new places, new faces this time.
That's the thing about the Smooth Brains.....they are so unpredictable that their behaviour could be misinterpreted as intelligent....
9:00 I love how completely calm and rational that woman is about that spider. My misses would have absolutely flipped out.
id be jumping out of my moving car
@@bl1tzcraft lol yup it's the huntsmans car now
@@jonah3211786 Are we sure they didn't carefully pull over, and then exit the car to leave it for the huntsman?
This is Australia. Big spiders anywhere is normal, so we're really not bothered by them.
@@iJawMan agreed but sounded like he might have the phobia not her!! In my house it is the opposite but I love having a few pets around to eat the flies of course. She's getting used to it lol
The theme of this month's video is traffic islands. They're just like lanes but bumpier.
That's why a line of badabadabas is much better - at least there's some chance the noise from driving over them will make people realise that they're supposed to keep clear of traffic islands.
@@vk2ig What the heck is a badabadabas? I can kind of guess but I never heard that word.
@@Earthneedsado-over177 A badabadaba is one of those yellow-coloured hard rubber things that look like a rubber strip sticking up from the road surface by about 30cm. The name comes from the noise they make when you drive over them.
I would argue, ‘wrong place’ is a better theme as there were plenty of drivers on the wrong side of the road and in places they are not meant to be, like traffic islands.
There's a rule (or a guideline 🤷) that you should treat painted islands as raised concrete ones. Maybe these people got the rule topsy turvy.....
9:24 Its so nice that that person immediately went to help a random stranger struggling on the street
Snap judgement would say that he was drunk but you never know. Could have a neurological condition.
@@Earthneedsado-over177 He was staggering and tripping over his own feet. 100% drunk.
@@garethwest9069 I have seen someone with a medical condition who was doing likewise. Bystanders called the ambos, who said he had diabetes and blood sugar levels went haywire.
Similar happened to a work colleague - someone in management called to complain that she sounded like she was drunk on the phone, to which another colleague replied that it wasn't intoxication and the first aiders were working on her at that very moment.
The helpful cyclist went on to help the mayor of Redlands find her car.
I like all the defensive driving in this one. Nice to see some people paying attention.
Seriously, having watched videos on this channel over the last few years, whenever I'm driving nowadays I'm always looking at what cars might be doing on the same bit of road I'm on, and at intersections, etc, wondering if this is going to be a DCOA-esque moment when someone tries merging into me or crossing the intersection just as I get to it, etc.
Twenty says they all "like and subscriiibe"
@@vk2ig best way to drive. Always think the driver next to you is a dumb fucker. Perfect examples in this video
@@vk2ig , my first time seeing this channel. It was "nice" to see that there are idiots on the road there just like there are here in the States! The guys at around 7:54-8:14 seemed very "American" with the words they chose to express! Overall some crazy near misses and unbelievable driving, the driver crossing the median ramming right into an oncoming vehicle, the near night time head-on collision & the driver of the small car stopping right in front of the ambulance on a 3-lane street...
Where I live you have to move out of the way if at all possible not only for an oncoming emergency vehicle but if they're parked off the side of the road with lights flashing, you MUST move over otherwise slow down as much as possible when passing by if other traffic is blocking. Otherwise it's a fine of $500-$1,000 and if injuries including those leading to death are suffered by emergency workers, you'll be fined, likely get sued and see jail/prison time.
with the number of offensive drivers around, people learn.
2:48 The only off roading these cars will ever do
That's not true! They stack up pretty alright at the wreckers
Good to see the Discovery hope the crb but the Wranglers anti skid /traction control isn’t up to much.
The g in g wagon is for groceries
4:36 Props to the guy for showing a clip where they're being the fool. Most people probably wouldn't
I think he just couldn't handle that hardstyle and just wigged out
2:15 I don’t think bullbars are supposed to fall off like that after hitting something 😂
And I think tyres are supposed to have tread, but that guy obviously has a different standard of what’s considered acceptable.
Always love the unique style and character of Aussie dashcam videos.
The chap trying to park at the end - I agree, he was definitely under some influence to impair driving. I have unfortunately witnessed someone mishandle a vehicle under influence and it is sad and very unpretty.
In a GT-P no less, why couldn't it just be a base model shitbox falcon AU?
@@jwljwljwwwwl it’s just unfair isnt it. Glad most pisshead bogans only can afford shitty (I mean) beautiful AU Falcons

Huntsman guy's wife (8:55) should be a hostage negotiator or something. Incredibly calm under pressure.
Agreed although I'd say mum not wife and out on a driving lesson, going by the positive reinforcement ("good spotting!"), telling to pull over and the "okay, okay".
@@jonathanmoeg1202 she could just be trying not to lose her shit lol

Can confirm this was the first time I have ever laughed out loud over the years of watching dashcam videos, the guy in the Ford in the last clip, looking backwards while the car was still in drive and further messing up his front bumper was classic, thankyou very much for the entertainment buddy haha
You have to admit that modern bumper bars are pretty sturdy eh?
He should have been drivong a Peugeot 😂
I wish the driver with the dashcam stopped in front of him, took his licence plate and called 000
Oh, what a country we live in when someone pulls out in front of someone else and has a go at the person they cut off… I’ve made mistakes - tired, blocked by A-pillar, the sun in your face, whatever, but never would I abuse the person I’ve wronged.
Seems to be a thing lately. I saw a video where a guy in a late model Mitsubishi Magna gives chase for being honked for pulling out on the cammer at speed.
Having worked in Service bookings at a dealership, a lot of this makes me think back on all the times people called up to book in for a concern and acted like they had no idea why their vehicle wasn't running right or had damage to it. So many people on the road drive like absolute lunatics that think the road rules don't apply to them and that being in the vehicle makes them invincible.
"I come up to the round-about right? And this other car just come outta nowhere! It was like magic!"

I feel like Ambulances need audible and visual warning devices fitted to them so other motorists know they are there. 🤣😂🙈🙉

I've sat in front of an ambulance before while their air raid sirens were being tested, and it's even more than that. You literally feel it in your body.
They're THAT strong that you experience this really intense vibration if you're directly in front of them.
Maybe they were drunk and thought it was a cop car? Idk, but they knew something was there.

9:04 the way that woman reacted to the huntsman lol. “There is a huntsman in the car”, “oh ok” no panic at all.
She probably has empathy fit the critter just trying to survive. Amazing how much less scary they are when you think that way. They're fascinating animals.
0:00 What absolute LEMMINGS!
we are so used to following the one car in front of us, thanks to the very strict speed limit. being the first car is stressful with no fulfillment since you can't go taking off. the chances that your limbo is going as fast as the plumber truck next to you in the next 30 minutes on the great western hwy is next to 100% if you drive long enough, and have a limbo.

Sadly, dealers only check credit ratings and not skill level
Yup. 😭
i like how he was looking over his shoulder but the car was going forwards
7:20 "WTF" is right. Anyone got an explanation as to why you'd intentionally cross the median strip and hit a very obvious oncoming car on a clear sunny day? The only thing I can think of is that, after deliberately mounting the median, they stomped on the wrong pedal.
looked like there was some wheel spin, maybe it got stuck, lifted one wheel, then they floored it to try and get right up, got traction and did not know what to do with it? still makes no sense!

7:15 People like this are actually on public roads. Genuinely worrying that someone can manage to do whatever that was 😂
He's a professional boomer. Trained for years to become that dense. Don't try this at home kids.
After 23 years in the job, I could tell you about hundreds of occasions where people have done stupid things in front of our ambulance. Unfortunately we're not allowed to install personal dashcams for the shift. If you see an emergency vehicle coming behind, pull to the LEFT when safe to do so. If you can't go left, at least indicate your intentions when going right.
Yep, Same here, but that was a poor example of driving from the paramedic too. They had other options rather than sitting right up that cars backside. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that little clip make one of our driver training videos !
@@bruce4890 The paramedic was clearly making a point with that driver and all emergency vehicles should have dashcams for police to deal with incompetent drivers later.
@@bruce4890 Personally, I thought "brain fart" when I saw what that crew did. If they're going to a job, then you've got two people watching the road and surroundings.

Also at 1:00 i wonder why the ambo didn't pull out in front of the cammer, i know the other car was a butthole but this is a life-threatening call so when the cammer gave way they could have just switched lanes instead of waiting so long behind the other car.

The driving standard in Australia has never been particularly good, but holy crap this is quite the display of moronic, selfish driving.
@Miss Kitty I can never decide if it is better or worse if they are under the influence of something.
You have no idea what you're on about mate. The driving standard here is actually pretty good, shits all over UK and USA, and is on par or better than several euros.
@@BaneWilliams in 2020 the road toll in Australia was 1,195, in the UK it was 1,516. The UK population is 2.5 times larger than Australia's (25m in Australia vs 67m in the UK). So per capita, death toll is higher in Australia.
@@BaneWilliams a some who grew up in the UK but now lives in Australia I can definitely say that the driving standard was better in UK (as evidenced by the stats I provided).
In Australia, people tailgate all the time (especially horrifying in wet weather when people drive 5m behind you at 100kph), there's no lane discipline on the freeways which is dangerous and an inefficient usage of freeways. Australian people are super friendly (probably the friendliest in the world), until they get behind the steering wheel.
@@jp1041041 In 2020, Britain was in widespread lockdowns for some time. Perhaps not the best year to post examples?
I think Brit drivers handle wet & icy roads better than Aussies, having more experience. Probably better at cornering on narrow country lanes, too.
But are you sure the data can be directly applied? UK roads are more congested, meaning lower speeds, thus fewer accidents. Plus more Brits live in quite built up areas (all those villas & townhouses) with less distance to travel.
I agree, Aussies are terrible tailgaters, seemingly oblivious to the danger. Yes, shit drivers on freeways generally.
Every country's drivers show certain trends. UK drivers are said to be terrible at queueing across intersections, especially in peak hour. And notorious for not allowing cars in from side streets. I've read there's even some jealousy involved. The higher the status of your car, the less likely they'll let you in.
Not nearly as dangerous as Aussie tailgaters, of course. Dangerous in it causes impatience and aggression. Gotta say, tho, status envy is pretty low.
Every nation has drivers with similar bad habits.

His tyres must be completely bald... couldn't even get up the tiny curb... and he's in an F100 for christ sakes
probably a couple of self tappers
@@myopinion69420 And probably those self-tappers with a shank so there wasn't actually any thread biting into the metal ... if someone's going to mis-use self-tapping screws they might as well completely stuff it up instead of only half stuffing it up.

I had no idea that 'Keep Left' actually meant 'drive over this sign'.
The bloke who fell off the back of the bike had me in stitches 🤣
These videos are getting better and better, the shit that happens on the roads!
Driving: It's just too bloody hard for some people.
3:39 I bet Tim Hinchcliffe will have an aneurysm defending the truck driver in this one
Who is that?
