It's good, but sort of feels, I don't know, a little bit lacking in some ways. The breeding and the number of possibilities is really fun, but that's the main draw of the game, it's a little more basic than Cassette Beast's regarding the combat and overall gameplay though. I've played through about half of it, and while I really liked some of the creature art, it just didn't click in many ways (and looking at reviews other's felt the same), and it's certainly not on the level of recent titles like Coromon (which is a basic but really solid Pokemon clone), Monster Sanctuary (just an incredible game), and Cassette Beast's (absolutely loving my first playthrough of it). I think it's worth buying if you like the genre and have finished up more widely recommended titles, but maybe wait until it goes on sale (though it's really not that expensive if I remember correctly). I'd also recommend Siralim Ultimate if you like the idea of the fused monster's, as that's sort of the major draw. Just some thoughts on MC, because I like the game and hopeful that the sequel addresses my issues, but it just doesn't seem to click in the way CB does if that makes sense.
I really want to go back and replay Monster Crown. I played through it when it first came out, but with all the updates I'd love to see how it's running now.
The 1st monster crown was ok for being made by only 1 person but i feel the main story was too short and the game Is full of bugs, i hope monster crown 2 Is better cuz now the creator will have more help
I picked up cassette beasts a few days ago thinking it was some super indie game that no one has ever heard of before, and then I randomly watch one of the UA-camrs that I watched for monster crown/sanctuary and he keeps ringing up cassette beasts
It feels like we are getting more and more Monster tamers nowadays and that developers are more likely to try new and adventurous things. This only spells good things!
It's really the whole "remake era" and the popularity of Pokemon skyrocketing with the Switch releases. If you look at, say, the "Boomer Shooter" genre, it was dead just a few years ago, far deader than monster taming where we still had solid releases, then we saw an uptick in popularity of certain throwback games like Doom 2016 and suddenly we get literally hundred's of tasty new morsels down the boomshoot feeding tube. It feels like both a good and bad thing. For one you have so much variety, but the issue is that if you try to play everything that seems good you burn out on the genre extremely quickly.
I stopped playing monster crown ages ago. The main problem I’ve got with the game were the bugs. The crashes were the biggest problem I’ve been having with the game, which started once I entered the desert zone. Cassette beasts I stopped playing it too, it just kept on stuttering non stop but I did beat the main story and I still loved it. Loved that the cassette beasts devs made it so the dog will go with the player character at the end of the game. Now with Nanokin i would like to play that game but if it’s only on pc I won’t be able to play. I also prefer to play as a male character and naming the character Yeirdin so the male character is my own character.
So far my problem with most games is their pricing, I know the currency exchange is complicated, but I feel like they're getting overpriced here for it's length
The cold Irony is that if they were cheaper the developers wouldn't cover costs and therefore wouldn't make the game. It takes a lot of work to make games like this, and our only comparison really is pokemon, a team with hundreds of people.
Its a shame monater crown can never fix its broken load times or game crashing bugs. After the update it still took forever to load into the game. I had a npc line constantly apear as i moved around. I entered a tamer battle and it froze. It looks like they touched up some animations there is more in the menu. Looking at the button commands the text doesnt allign with the button so its hard to even tell what a button does. I can only hope he keeps his promise that building monster crown 2 from scratch will allow him to avoid those things he has admited he cant fix without a team in monster crown 1
Is the OG Druggiemon complete? Since it confused me, that they have now Lost Edition and the TCG in the work but I'm not even sure if the Main-Game is actually complete. I think last time I checked it was still a Demo
The main game I will have to hire people to help as it was too much of an ambitious project for just one person me (pixel artist and programmer). As soon as I'm done with the Lost Edition (a creepy pasta/horror) version of Druggiemon and the TCG (Promo cards only atm), it will be full steam ahead for the Druggiemon main game(s) as I have plenty of assets done already and would like to port the game to consoles as well. Thank you :)
So did they fix MC or what, because it's been broken on xbox forever, once you beat campaign you go to whats her name in the city with the card portals and a bunch of post game dialogue options, as soon as you select one the game freezes n crashes to dashboard, years on still broken and unfinished?
I sunk about 15 hours into monster crown as I loved it, but it crashed SO MUCH. (PS4 port) I had to give up. Disc creatures was good fun :) just finished the first Nexomon.
the main guy is just supervising the new one and is still focused on the first one and tcg, also making it from scratch probably fixes way more and way faster than just touching up the same old code over and over again
Monster crown was developed by a single developer who has health problems and he’s doing his best to fix the game. He’s ONLY supervising the new game and the TCG and his main focus is fixing the first monster crown game
There is a non-drug alternative to Druggiemon called RxMonsters. This game will focus on medicine monsters and health. And monster tamer games in general make light of animals fighting each other which is pretty dangerous and fatal in the real world.
Its just a game, I could literally use this logic to ruin everything. Can't believe you'd promote a game that makes light of animal cruelty since monsters fight. Can't believe you'd promote games that promote dangerous weapons like guns and subjects such as murder, etc. This is a line of thinking that can extend way too far.
Oh goodie, maybe I'll pick up Monster Crown soon(ish) (once I finish Cassette Beasts... and Disc Creatures.... and Abomi Nation LOL)

Nanokid looks fun like medabots with all the pieces you can switch around.
Nanokin looks like it might actually compete with the likes of Cassette Beasts.
6:04 Disc Creature World really going out it's way to be a love letter to GBA/DS era of video games.
The first game was a gameboy color style.

Is monster crown an iOS game?
Guys when is coromon full game coming to android and ios?
Still no news on it unfortunately it should be this year though
Nanokin is what pokemon should look like
Oh yeah, so Digimon series is cancelled? I know the game isn't the best to watch, but I enjoy the hate n prejudice you have with their race
What Digimon series?
Welp, here's hoping the Monster Crown sequel isn't nearly as awful as the first!
I really wish you wouldn't keep promoting a game series that makes light of dangerous drugs.
