The race was so long I think fans and Kyle forgot Bowman won the first stage
Kyle is made at the 48, but when Jimmie was driving, many of his wins came from putting himself in the correct position when it mattered. The most important one was the one that got him championship #7.
It was in the heat of the moment. That's what the radio is for: for drivers to vent out their frustrations
If anything, Kyle was more mad at the fact that he could not repay the favor to everyone at JGR with a win, especially after all they did for him over the weekend
You also have to put yourself in Kyle's shoes: his primary got wrecked, and everyone at JGR (not just the 18 team, but all 4 Cup teams) had to work overnight to get his backup car ready
that and Carl Edwards stupidity played out perfectly!
@@GaboxRox15 that outburst and the unnessisary post stage antics are just more examples of how immature Cryle is. His team got outsmarted in the pits and he got out raced when it mattered. If the roles were reversed, Cryle would be praised as an cunning veteran for being in the right place.
@@nobodystaco7366 I'll give you the Briscoe incident. Kyle was unnecessarily frustrated and he shouldn't have gone after him, as Briscoe clearly did nothing wrong.
However, this is not the first time we have seen drivers get frustrated over the radio this season. When Blaney got put in the wall by Cindric in the Daytona 500, Blaney said "I'm gonna kill that kid" on the radio, but no one held that against him because they understood his frustration
Same thing when Elliott got put in the wall by Larson, nobody criticized Elliott for his outburst. But when Kyle Busch has an outburst on the radio, people criticize him and say "he has no right to be frustrated"? That's clearly hypocritical
Yes, Alex Bowman deserved that win 100%. However, Kyle Busch is also 100% justified to be frustrated, just like Ryan Blaney was after the Daytona 500, and just like Chase Elliott was after Fontana. All 3 drivers were angry at having lost a race they had a realistic shot at winning. It's natural for drivers to be like that
And besides, isn't that what the radio is for, for a driver to vent out their frustrations?

Alex "The Invisible Man" Bowman. The Fox announcing team failed to even mention the 48 car, as he drove his way from the back of the field (after a pit road penalty) and into position to win the race. It's like his drive through the field never even happened, because Fox failed to notice, or mention it, while it was happening. The Fox announcing team called a terrible, terrible race, and the pre-race show was god-awful!!
They were too busy with the "Crash Queen". Probably had the best equipment of any driver on the track when she was driving. You gotta know that nascar really wanted her to win.
@@jamesglavich1426 They were not too busy with Danica. She has little to do with what the producers choose to look at on the track. They focused all day on 4 drivers. Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex Jr.

Erik Jones was seriously lucky that Bubba managed to turn just in time, he literally came back on track drivers side facing the field. He would’ve been at minimum seriously injured

Bowman is literally on of the most loveable drivers in the sport. His wins are earned even at Pocono last year he had to wheel the thing to where it was to have a shot.
I think he's getting such a bad rap because he's finally getting wins now he's in a good Hendrick ride after schlepping on lower tier teams. Plenty of guys got high praise accolades such as "The Closer", "The Finisher", "Where did he Come From!?" In the past.

Okay, who thought 18’’ wheels with LoPro tires (w/o) inner liners was the way to go? Looks stylish to younger folks but who forgot Function over form, err style. I understand ride height too
Anyone with a basic understanding of what generates interesting handling
They seriously need to re-evaluate the tire/wheel package. It may look cool and put more of the handling of the car back into the driver's hands, but if it's supposed to help with cost and safety they failed on that one. Rims are breaking, guys can't get back to the pits with multiple flats, and more cars are being torn up on the way back to the pit than when they had the inner-liner. I hope they don't take all season to improve the situation.
Yeah, I get the larger rim diameter is to accommodate bigger brakes but getting beached by a flat sucks for the drivers and the fans. With all the R&D between Nascar and the teams they need a real fix to this, not just a rules/procedure change.
Honestly, I think Goodyear is partial blame here. They should have insisted an inner liner be run on these cars.

@@braedonshelton2305 I hope they do. I’m still a litttle upset with the change of the cars, but have to remember all the room for improvement. I’m excited to have tickets to Talladega this fall so maybe they will be figured out by then. I guess if not I’ll at least get some good action in wrecks at the start/finish

@@StephenBrewer89 ahh I got you. That’s a totally valid reason it does take the engineering and setup aspect out of it more, making it less “team” oriented. I do think though that the top teams will still find a way to eek some extra performance out of the cars. For me though the better racing and the cars being less aero sensitive outweighs that part. It is interesting to see that almost all major racing categories are gravitating to having closer racing with smaller performance gaps and relying on driver skill more ie nascar, the last set of Indy car regs, f1, and maybe wec with the hyper car rules

@@JesseLeeHumphry not really. The cars were stuck side by side and at the end the air caused Larson to get tight and shoot up the track. The fact that bowman ran 15th the following race kinda proves that bowman shouldn’t be there.
Elliott, Larson, and Byron were running around the top 5 all day before Larson’s engine died and Elliott spun. Bowman ran 15th-20th all day at Phoenix in the following race.

Ah yes, another week of mediocre tv coverage. Nothing to do with Mike, Clint, or Danica. Man fire the producers or directors. It was a great race and a great Radioactive. Didn't even even show the fly over other than a couple quick shots and FOX still presents nascar like a joke throughout pretty much the entirety of the race.
