This track fit so well into the fall of Cintra. Really intensified the desperation and emotion of the missed connection between Geralt and Ciri. Drama done right.
This song is so epic because of the context behind it. Knowing that Geralt was always one step behind Ciri. Thus, he was indirectly protecting her by slaughtering Nilfgardians outside of the castle during the invasion of Cintra. Geralt was protecting Ciri the whole time during the Fall of Cintra as he cuts down all of the Nilfgardians that are after Ciri and Mousesack. The song titled "Linked by Destiny" fits the context perfectly.
TN he was actually the one who gave them the warning that Ciri is in trouble but Queen Calanthe was too stubborn enough not to listen. Regardless, I love Calanthe’s character.

In that book there is a lot of interaction between Geralt and Ciri which they didn't include in the show. They actually spend a lot of time together before they finally find each other in the "woods" after the war.

So beautiful, epic and moving... It fits the way Geralt loves Ciri, the way a white wolf loves its cubs... fiercely, blindly and ignoring the time and space between them and the reason for this instinctive bond. I was afraid a lot of different aspects of the show would dissappoint me. But in the end I was relieved. The soundtrack has been up to THE WITCHER saga.
This music conveys all the horror, desperation and pain of the Fall of Cintra. As for me they showed all this well when Nilfgaard had already entered the city... And the famous representatives of the houses that remained there were killed themselves with the help of poisons and this really gave the atmosphere extra points. I felt something similar at the siege of Kaer Morhen, in the Witcher 3.
i didn't get the ending, how did they find each other, girl ran into the forest then geralt did the same then we see them runnig at each other, i lolled to this scene, imo it was bad.

Not being a ass, but i dont really see how you cant get it, ciri runs into the woods to go to the battlefield, geralt bound by destiny can sense her and feel that she is close. Not to mention he is a witcher and would be able to tell she was close anyway, he runs into thw forest after her following her scent until he finds her . Just my opinion

I decided to give this show another shot and once I got into it I just couldn’t stop. Watched both seasons over Labor Day weekend. Fantastic show. The music was beautiful.

Finally I found this song. I couldn't find the exact song that was stuck in my head. For awhile I thought it was just "geralt of rivia", but I could always tell there was something missing. It wasn't exactly the song I remembered. But now I understand why that song feels almost incomplete, it's because of how geralt and ciri are linked. Only together do you get the more full song. Genius
I really like the tonal shifts in this soundtrack just so many spaces between them and they could maybe let the voices/viola out more and tone down on the SFX

Finally I found this song. I couldn't find the exact song that was stuck in my head. For awhile I thought it was just "geralt of rivia", but I could always tell there was something missing. It wasn't exactly the song I remembered. But now I understand why that song feels almost incomplete, it's because of how geralt and ciri are linked. Only together do you get the more full song. Genius

I really like the tonal shifts in this soundtrack just so many spaces between them and they could maybe let the voices/viola out more and tone down on the SFX
I was skeptical at first that this series can't match the epic soundtracks of the witcher games. Guess what? I was damn wrong!
