When I look at reviews I pay more attention to positive reviews over negative reviews. I used to work at Home Depot and we called this “anger bias”. When you do something good for someone they thank you and say they are going to leave a good review with your manager. They leave and forget and you never see that review. But if you piss someone off they are going to go STRAIGHT home and get on the computer and blast you. 100% of the time. So the reason I pay attention to positive reviews is because someone has to be truly blown away to take the time to go home and write that positive review.
I would have agreed with you but I have recently learned that many businesses are actually paying people to leave 5 star reviews on their services/products.

100% spot on! Everything he’s talking about I’ve been doing for the last year and a half with my detailing business (Zitzner Detailing). I started very cheap to build my client list. Slowly got better. Learned more. Raised prices. Lost customers but gained better ones with cleaner cars (less grunt work). Consistently posted multiple times a day on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, UA-cam now. The best way is #1 you gotta do good work. #2 is marketing as much as you can. #3. Word of mouth is huge. I give a $10 referral to each person someone sends my way and keep track
Hey! These videos are more than incredible. As a new guy getting into the business, I watch these videos and take notes, as they are not only extremely educational, but as practical as they come. One quick question for Luke or anyone that reads this, what are some things I can do to decrease drying times. I find myself limited, especially with this Illinois humidity, and waiting on seats, carpets, and mats to dry. Thanks a ton!
Great vid...I focus on what's dirty first, while my energy level and focus is high. Also communicate with the client as to why they called or what they feel is the area of concern. Most importantly is to inspect the vehicle prior to starting. To minimize your exposure to liability. Take photos and text them to the client. Always have an electronic document of any damage. Enjoy the day everyone. 🍻

Just started detailing vehicles and my main focus right now is interior work. I'm very OCD and find myself wanting to have everything perfect. This video gave me some very good information and hopefully will help me not be so OCD while I detail the interior.

Something I figured out a while ago is to understand the customer. Some people are very detail oriented and what their car to be perfect. These are the ones that you can charge more and spend more time on the little things. But moms who don’t want the expensive stuff done and just want their car cleaned are only looking at 80-90% of the vehicle. There’s no point in spending lots of time on the 10%, just do the 90% well. This saved me soooo much time on details and greatly increased the money I make per hour. I will be implementing the strategy to get more reviews though!
Stop saying yes to the 90% when you can be saying yes to the 10%, that hit hard bro! Amazing information! I’m starting a mobile detail service this weekend, I’m going to implement this! Thank you so much!

Most times you can hear what a clients main interest is ,when they repeat themselves regarding their interior or they say things like their vehicles is their office or the kids are always at soccer or whatever the sport.. they mainly focused on the inside as everyone knows the outside is bound to get dirty eventually just b driving down the street.. then you get clients whose OCD bout their exterior especially if it's a classic or sports car or new SUV or truck they want kept the way it was purchased.. outlaws does RV's full detailing inside and outside, we do side by sides (ATV's) will soon be doing tractor trailers as well.. and will be doing pressure washing of decks and window washing of stores and restaurants during the snow period, we will be advertising after every snow storm for folks who uses their cars to drive thru the snow those undercarriage washes to maintain the health and protection of their vehicles ($35) sounds reasonable that's including their interior an exterior window cleaning
Luke, do you ever have issues with overheating plastic on vents? I see you steam them a lot, with more pressure than my steamer has. I haven’t seen a video on that yet. Thanks if you have the time to reply!
@Wilson Auto Detailing. I totally love your channel, your work, and the information you share. I have a small mobile detailing business I am growing here in Toronto, Canada (HYPERFORMANCE CAR CARE SERVICE), and I will be implementing many of the points you talked about in your video. I have a Question would if you don't have a vehicle to post every day do you post the same car For 90 days What do you do then just put Say something different and just continue to post the same Picture?Very good video in very good information
I have a question on the detailing you were doing on this car. What was that small instrument you were using on the front seat upholstery. It looked like a small “pick” to remove small bits of dirt (?) on the seat ??
I am in another country. What prices and products do you pay for? It will give me an estimate to our dollar value so I don't have to waste time to start on this journey. I watch and enjoy your vids like a calming session. Good vibe music background. Thank you.
I wanted a checklist of everything they’d do. Otherwise, I won’t know what to look for when done. No one had that. I ended up detailing my own car and absolutely loved doing it.
I hyper focus on door panels and the dashboard and spend like 4 hours trying to get the smallest tough marks. If I don't focus it how can I feel comfortable and leave a good looking panel when I don't put as much effort?
I have i question i really love your video but what about windows cleaning internal and external do you offer it in normal cleaning or is a separate service?
That's an amazing steamer. I use the autoright steamer from Amazon. Takes 10 mins to get steam and it's a bit watery at times but it gets the job done. Is it worth getting the mcculloch right away? I work full time at a car wash but been buying up stuff on the side to go out on my own, I live in quebec so we only have 6 months of summer. I have not started advertising, I just been doing friends cars. I must say though my stuff is better than what I use at work, they still use hot water in a bucket with a mitten.
Where is the list of products and tools ? Wanted to know about the cleaner you use on the dash and side panels and also what is that yellow brush that looks like an iron?
I’m looking at mobiletechrx I tried the free 5 day trail think I’m gonna use it. It does estimates and invoices, automated texts and emails, it’s got a calendar and you can assign techs to cars if you have employees. Lots more too. I’ll update this comment if in the future I end up turning away from it.

Dude you are the energizer bunny. Your fire and wisdom rock.
Nice hair cut. Thanks for the voiceover pitch. I clearly understand your message.

@Wilson Auto Detailing. I totally love your channel, your work, and the information you share. I have a small mobile detailing business I am growing here in Toronto, Canada (HYPERFORMANCE CAR CARE SERVICE), and I will be implementing many of the points you talked about in your video. Please continue to ppst new videos and imformation as I will be watching for more content from you. Thanks
Loved this video again Luke. This kind of education you provide sets you apart from others detailers on UA-cam. I will implement this!
I have a Question would if you don't have a vehicle to post every day do you post the same car For 90 days What do you do then just put Say something different and just continue to post the same Picture?Very good video in very good information
This video is incredible! Thanks so much for sharing your business model. SUBBED!
Thank you.
Yes I'm implementing it. Thank you!
YES I AM IMPLEMENTING IT
Thanks for sharing, highly appreciated. So what hand held foam dispenser/ canon are you using. It’s cool ✌🏽🇿🇦
This detailing video is really good for a detail beginner like me and im trying to get more clients
Been implementing this for little while Luke... Game changing strategy!
Towards the end of the video what spray did you use to clean the windows? They were immaculate
What are you using to clean the door jambs and carpets? Is it the same all purpose cleaner that you used in the rest of the interior?
Like button, smashed!
Long term game = the principle
I wanted a checklist of everything they’d do. Otherwise, I won’t know what to look for when done. No one had that. I ended up detailing my own car and absolutely loved doing it.
Hell yes, I’m implementing this as I type this at that.
Bro this is amazing, thank you for the information and the effort you’ve put in these videos.
I will be implementing this!
Love the new videos man!
Thanks man! It's good to hear they are helpful!
Do you have a battery pack to power your pressure washer and steamer? Or do you use a motor?
Yes I'm implementing it ❤❤❤
Great video! Lots of great advice and motivation.
Definitely going to start implementing this strategy.
Heck ya!
Same!
I hyper focus on door panels and the dashboard and spend like 4 hours trying to get the smallest tough marks. If I don't focus it how can I feel comfortable and leave a good looking panel when I don't put as much effort?
I am definitely implementing these strategies into my auto detailing business
Definitely implementing it!!!!
Superb tips and amazing video 😀 Thank you Luke.
You are awesome Luke 😁😎👍🏼
You DA MAN! Thanks for watching and being involved man, I appreciate it!
Yes I’m implementing it 🎉

The "focus point" after years i finally got it lol i know exactly where im gonna have to work hard.
That little Yellow thing that your using is that a ZIP Sander block
I have i question i really love your video but what about windows cleaning internal and external do you offer it in normal cleaning or is a separate service?
That apc you use what Is the dilution ratio you use on that? Great information you give your videos help me out a lot thank you
That's an amazing steamer.
Yes I’m implementing it ✊🏾
Where is the list of products and tools ? Wanted to know about the cleaner you use on the dash and side panels and also what is that yellow brush that looks like an iron?
very informative ! love it!
Can you tell us how you do your taxes, invoices, and keep track of your spending?
Definitely
these detailers don't pay any taxes lol. its most cash business
Cash only
I’m looking at mobiletechrx I tried the free 5 day trail think I’m gonna use it. It does estimates and invoices, automated texts and emails, it’s got a calendar and you can assign techs to cars if you have employees. Lots more too. I’ll update this comment if in the future I end up turning away from it.
Cost of goods to help you track spending is another good one
Yes im implementing it
100% implementing this as we speak!
