There is a little boy in the US who remembers many details of his life as a WW2 pilot. His parents have assisted him in his journey of finding his past plane, and old friends in cemeteries. The parents don't believe in reincarnation. But bravo to them for honoring their child. I love your story. It's beautiful ❤
Me too, when I think of it. My great grandfather (the original Dadô) was a very buttoned up man - a Baptist minister - but the love and responsibility to take on his grandchild - when his son abdicated all responsibility - remains a wordless and selfless act of love that humbles me. I have one picture of him, that I treasure, and his memory is bright whilst I have breath to say his name.
Thankyou so much! I'm totally up for people sharing anything a bit weird as well..... I've got videos ready to go out each day until Samhain :-). They are not the big "Amityville" type stories, but thery are 100% true.
What a beautiful story and affirmation of sorts. It’s interesting to me when I hear people talk about the veil and how it thins at this time of year. I had a very strong spiritualist upbringing so spirit work is in my blood but it was never confined to the autumn. I realise it’s against popular opinion in terms of the seasonal tides and wheel of the year, but I genuinely don’t believe a veil exists to actually get thin. I think it’s a romanticised trope which has been so over used it’s no longer questioned. It’s in all the books right, so it must be true! Has anyone ever actually seen it? If it’s metaphorical, I would suggest the barrier or veil between this world and the spirit world is within the mind of the individual and is really about the individuals ability to tune into their sensitivity and raise their level of consciousness to become more aware and perceptive. Now I sound like a grumpy old crone. What really annoys me is witches or whoever laying claim to having direct communication with godhead or deity (huge claim btw) if they don’t actually provide any verifiable evidence. I think anyone claiming to be in contact with a spiritual being whether it’s great aunt Francis or deity, should be able to provide evidence of some form or another and should I hope want to have that validation for themselves to ensure they’re not deluding themselves. I feel like I’m ranting. Sorry. I’ll shut up now.
I think this is the PERFECT place for a bit of a rant! You raise a very valid point about the concept of a "veil". You've made me think now, so I'm going to sit with it for a while. Thankyou!
I've no idea where "Dadô" comes from. It's certainly not common in North or South Wales at ALL. My father also called his grandmother "Mamô". Maybe it's a valleys thing?
@@GrumpyOldCrone The standard South Wales Welsh for Grandfather is "Dad-cu", and "Mam-gu" for grandmother. It's likely this was a family variation or dialect.
I’m originally from the Gwent Valley in South Wales and I’m also a Welsh speaker. I’ve not heard this word before. Do you know which valley your dad came from? I absolutely love this story and I do believe our children see our family who have passed. My 1 and 2 year old I will often see and hear chatting or babbling away to someone and so did my 7 year old as a baby. A blessing of memories for your family xx
My dad was born and raised in Maesteg. On Turberville Street, actually! I'm always a little sad that I didn't get to know my own Dadô, but I like to think the beloved dead are watching over us all the time. Wales is such a beautiful place, and I'm proud to have a little bit of it in me.
I've got goosepimples. What a fantastic connection across generations. Loved this x
Thank you so much!

As you say, the veil is getting thin this time of year, but for little folk, the veil seems pretty thin all the time.
Yup, I couldn't agree more!

I used to live in Wales and I used to love all the little language quirks as well.

I remember the women used to call the men 'bach' and the men used to call the women 'sis'.
