im a simple man. Is see a GT Content video, I watch and I like. Im really enjoying these!
Omerta Vyce Awesome! 😁
Always love the great content delivered through a positive, respectful and professional attitude, great work. You’re a good man, don’t let anyone ever tell you different.
+Commander Shepard Thanks bro!
except your dad.
Ok so been enjoying your vids for a little while now👍..R u going to finish the other project???
Awesome vid man been watching since 4K subs keep it up !
+cvfb beats Thank you!
Which catback exhaust is this, I'm trying to get the same one as yours.
Keep it coming my Asian brother. Awesome video btw
can you comment on ecu reflash for a new GTR on an exhaust downpipe
install? Im kind of worried about the warranty but kind of not..
So that exhaust fits on old and new GTRs ??
Can you post the link to the exhaust please?
Another great video, new exhaust sounds amazing. What's next for the GTR?
Thanks! Going to do a Transmission fluid change and then off to Import Face Off in Bakersfield. Of course, I'll be vlogging, so you guys will be in the loop😀
Nice vid! Btw do you know where the aux connection is on these cars? I see the aux screen but have no idea where thr connections are lol
+Fallenwhun The USDM one's don't have it hooked up. You'll have to buy a kit from the guys below.

Hi, can you recommend some where to buy a cheap Chinese mid pipe from?
Awesome video bro. Just picked up a 14 BE. What are your thoughts on the sbd700?
Congrats! As far as the SBD700, it's an affordable kit. Buying a brand name may provide better quality, craftsmanship, materials, sound, etc., but at the end of the day, it's all just metal parts formed and shaped to what it is and power levels will be similar.
YEEEEEEEEESSS!!! Love you videos bro!!!!!!
+MrTrill409 Thanks man!
Damn man . you’re amazing
I sold my JDMPassword exhaust because OCD kicked in and i hated how it was sitting, it was one of the FIRST exhausts on the market available for nissan gtr, I went with FABWORX exhaust, because everything is nice about it, sometimes its not only you pay for quality but also fitment, it would bug me a lot of tips did not sit nice and equal on both ends. FABWORKS 4" inch exhaust with 5" titanium tips, cant wait to install it :)
Gary, have you noticed any issues/cons with a aftermarket midpipe and exhaust with no tune? Those are the only mods I will be doing, since I am in warranty for four years. Don't want to gamble with a tune. Also did you ever run 10.9s while being stock? Tia
Running fine for a while now. The stock ECU can compensate for 2.75" intakes, mid pipe and exhaust. No issues/cons unless you don't like noise and reduced weight. I ran a 10.9 stock randomly and it only became more frequent with the midpipe and exhaust.
Have you noticed that the drone became less with time? Or perhaps you just got used to it. lol. I agree with what you said about pricing of an exhaust and that after a certain point the exhaust won't perform any better so it doesn't make much sense to spend all that extra money.
The drone is loud when cold and recedes when up to temperature. There is a resonance (drone) speed range which goes away once you pass it.
Hey Gary, my 4" straight pipe exhaust with midpipe is coming in today. I was told that it will be extremely difficult to get things lined up if installing off jack stands. I plan on following your tutorial in doing the install. How much wiggle room did you have when installing the 3".
It wasn't a lot of room, but possible if you set things in place before going down there. (Ex: having exhaust set where you're going to lift it up and tools close by). Set up your Jack's to the highest setting and make sure they are stable before going down there. Lmk if any other questions.
GT Content Just installed it. Thanks a lot for the informative videos. I pretty much studied your midpipe and exhaust installation videos. Took a few hours with a friend, but feels good to actually install it myself. Taking the under trays and reinstalling it tool the longest. I will post a video on my channel and refer them to yours if they want more of in depth tutorial. Thanks again.
Awesome vid
+D Yang Thanks!
Do you have to install a tune after this upgrade? If so what do you use?
No
Is this the manzo cat back ?
I've been contemplating an exhaust upgrade for my 2017 Premium, but I've run into a bit of a dilmma. After some research, I've learned the 2017 MY comes with the same titanium exhaust as the Nismo edition, but only the catback... If that's true, the last thing I'd do is replace the catback portion of exhaust and maybe just do a full cat delete downpipe, headers and leave the titanium portion of the catback alone...
Yeah, I'd keep the OEM titanium on there unless you are set on a certain exhaust system (I wonder how much it weighs). The stock exhaust should be good up to 800HP.
Stock exhaust becomes a bottleneck at the fbo e85 level, you’ll be sacrificing about 25-30hp by keeping the stock catback.
great video
+Combo Li Thanks!
Your vids are amazing greats from the Netherlands 😁
Thanks!
Do you HAVE to tune it after changing exhaust systems? Or does the computer automatically adjust for the new exhaust?
Racer Lex the computer will adjust to try to keep the fuel and air flow within a set norm, so it will try to cancel out the benefit and try to keep the airflow at the factory norm so When you tune it you tell the computer that it needs to adjust to the flow increase which will give you more power, but you will still get benefits from increased flow, they will only be smaller because your working against the Ecu. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though
I would say put in a "stage" of upgrades and then go get it tuned
^What he said above 😀
Catbacks are basically just noise makers and don't require a tune but if you add downpipes a tune is required.
Do you have a link to the exhaust?

I bought jdmpassword exhaust catback . Old design. For 300 bucks. Used in gtest condition ! Sold my OEM midpipe for 600 lol. And got AAM midpipe got 260 used. So. Yeah. Sure the fitment on the JDM password is not so great but i can deal with it for how much i paid. I think it was 2k for it back in the day. Love saving money on piping.
did you remove the exhaust valve? because i know if you remove it, it will go limp mode
That applies for the 2017+. I don't have that feature.
I'm down for saving money, but wouldn't go smaller tips. Nothing but the best for the best.
Is that LinesRacing exhaust or Manzo?
Not sure, but it's the Ebay one. I don't think there is a specific brand for the one I have since it's just rebranded by whomever is selling it.
Mid pipes? The same as down pipes? And?would you do a ecu reflash?
The midpipe is the "Y" shaped part of the exhaust system. The downpipes are the ones attached to the turbine housings of the turbos. Eventually will modify the ECU.
@@GTContent Awesome. With upgrade to Motul all around?, how often do you drain and fill your transmission, transfer case, differentials and engine oil?
i love it !!! love your videos. Get a fiat 500 abarth please and give us some good content on the ABARTH :D sorry for being demanding
+Vikram Goswami Might have to consider that when my channel becomes successful.
thank you man ! Its a fun car i bet you'll like the abarth. Its quirky but super fun ! thanks again ! hope to see you gain popularity and success !
Which brand is this catback system?
No brand. Made in China.
What year gtr should i buy?
Check out my GTR buyer's video on my channel.
Can you do one on transmission fluid?
+stopherrr I've actually got that one coming up 😁
GT Content definitely do the transmission change..my GTR has 12,000 miles on it and I'm a DIY guy..and would love to see a video on it..
Yup, same here. I DIY as much as I can to save money but more so for the feeling of accomplishment. Excited for the video.
Does this work with a white GTR?
😂
Please help...i have aftermarket exhaust on my 2014 gtr sometime it smells like gasoline coming from exhaust while idle is it normal?
Do you have aftermarket downpipes?
@@GTContent i have aftermarket midpipe and catback but the car has bigger injectors.
@@vickeyjis You need s tune for those injectors if they're not stock.
Dude im jealous....some what. My frs catback is a grand. But it is exactly what i want from sound, looks, weight and hp gain so im good.
You get what you pay for 😀
Your zilla still sounds and is awsome. 👍
+Sir Awsome Mcdouglas Thanks
How has this exhaust held up?
Still doing fine.
@@GTContent thank you, I'm sold.
Hi I love your videos a Nissan GTR is my dream car
+Gabriel Sanchez Awesome! I know you'll get there one day.
Driving From the side view he kinda looked like shangtsung from the mortal Kombat movie .
Thing with fabbed exhausts by exhaust shops is that it drones like crazy because they have zero R&D in them. All is based on experience. I like a deal always but there are just some things in after market parts you just can't go cheap on and exhaust is one of them. Once it settles the drone will be even more present. How it works out, but from my experience with different cars with after market exhausts from cheap to branded, the branded ones always smoke the fab shops
Yes, that may he true at times. It also depends on the person's sensitivity/tolerance to it.
@@GTContent great content by the way. Good to hear you are good with your after market one. I'm still not sure what to get as I have to pass sound emission yearly so prob have to have some switch to go quiet mode. IPE, armytrix etc. I really don't mind meistershaft, but no valve control makes you want to 😢
@@digi051669 Having the valves helps reduce noise, but it increases weight. The valves may also malfunction at times. The stock exhaust is good for FBO E85 levels, so not really a requirement if your staying at those power levels (less drone also). Of course, sound isn't the best with it, but it's a compromise if you are in an area that does sound testing. You can just swap it back to stock whenever time comes for inspection.
@@GTContent mines a stage 2 with intake, mid-pipe and map, but need to do the down-pipes and a good exhaust to let it breath more. The Accessport by Cobb's is great for tunes X:P
The reasons to buy a more expensive exhaust is for better fit and finish. Also the sound will be more refined.
+DaEverest I'd debate that, but it'll be endless. As I stated in my video. It's your money. Do what you want to do with it.
WoW that's not much louder ... Now I know since I have midpipes I need Straight pipe's catback to be a bit louder as I'm not touching downpipes! :)
It sounds like you got rid of the airplane takeoff noise...lol
+Andrew Vang Yups 😂😂😂
Was this the HKS exhaust
Good content man, thanks for keeping your videos short and to the point unlike these other clickbait fucks
No tune for an exhaust swap is awesome.
when its after the cat theres no tune needed.
my dream car is a audi rs 6 or 7. but i cant ever afford in because im gonns end up in the streets
+Jani Never say never. I thought the same with my GTR. I'm sure you'll be able to do it with the right planning.
I love the China made parts convo. If you have a GTR, $2k on an exhaust won't break you but why spend it? Its not needed.
+Daniel Lara #TRUTH
@@Executiveinvestments- Meh...😏
i own hot wheels GT-R
Where did you get that Exhaust? I'm trying to find it.
Ebay
GT Content what is it called because the price is around $700. And how has it held up? I'm thinking of getting one.
I see no GTR exhausts for $300...which one is it?
I wouldn't get the one he bought the tips are horribly small
Thanks Joe, any recommendations? I usually fabricate my own exhausts but at under $500- it doesn't make sense to do so.
IDC 110% lol

+AndyB134 - 😁
A u...
Steps on it...lags a few seconds. Lol embarrassing.
Not my 392 😂
Man this would destroy a 392 💀
@1:50 actually turbo cars with no exhaust do not improve performance it actually makes it worse because there is no back pressure. half the shit you said is totally false. smh
+Tim Fisher Please prove to me how I'm spewing shit.
Your back pressure argument is old school and has been disproved with turbo cars. Get with the times.
GT Content i've took my cat back off and there are no difference in power. i took my downpipe off you loose 50% of power. so i don't think the back pressure theory is wrong. thanks
Tim Fisher You need to provide data to your claims.
-What motor?
-Aftermarket cams?
-What Turbo?
-What exhaust turbine housing flange and size?
-What size exhaust system?
-Links to dynograph?
Tim Fisher when you take the turbo back off you experienced loss of power because you didn't retune your current map so the ECU couldn't compensate. The only draw back to no exhaust is boost creep or boost spikes. I just put a new set up on my EVO IX and it's basically a full track car now and I basically have no exhaust, it's just a pte 6062 bolted up to a custom manifold with a custom downpipe that exists the front bumper. The less exhaust you have the more power you make but you have to be careful because the boost wants to just keep going. At first it was going up to 60psi until I found the right wastegate and electronic boost controller combo.
replacing the original carlsonic exhaust for a cheap china made? are you serious??
+trustgtr33 😁
I mean the stock exhaust was probably designed with keeping noise down and emissions down as well, not flow increase and he did point out the obvious part of the stock exhaust where it got really thin therefore worsening flow and then had to travel in a long loop to get out. I think that the aftermarket one will increase horsepower and the 5 pound difference(I think) won't do much but the increased flow will add power.
+lexi chernovian #Truth
Like the old saying, comparing Apple's to oranges...I might have lemons in this case. We'll see how it holds up 😁
Well if it fails after a few months hes only out $300. Hope it holds up really well man. More money these days doesnt mean more quality. All of it is Ali baba with their name on it.
