That Honda has lasted 23 years before someone decided to flood it...😢
I think it would of survived that he took the plugs out and the engine spun ok without knocking so hopefully it's still going strong
@@Everything_Evan Quite likely a few conrods are bent.... even Honda engines aren't hydrolock-proof.
If any engine's going to survive hydrolock, it'll be a Honda 😅
Its only a dull Hond ffs
@@CreRay*idiot proof
Professional truck driver right there.. looked like the idiot destroyed the front of it too with bits flying off. Some top quality driving skills in this one.
His mate in the passenger seat won't be laughing when he's been fired cause the truck needs a new engine.
I doubt it's covered in the rental agreement!
A complete idiot, the more they put speed through water, the more the damage will be, but it's too difficult to understand from monkeys.
thank god we had a professional truck driver here to tell us that.
That first one … “vehicle hire” - I bet they’re wishing they took out the no blame damage package.
That’s enough engine carnage for one Sunday …thanks for sharing Ben 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for watching 😊

Bengregers keep up the Lord's work my friend. Nothing more satisfying that watching idiots be idiots❤❤ @@bengregers
The Volvo driver actually had some sense
I love the Land Cruiser "Flood? what flood? Tis just a puddle"
Can someone explain me WHY would you even try crossing it if you know how deep the water is? If you see folks standing around with cameras you know it's going to be deep. I mean it's not even about the engine or the electrics - the floor and door seals aren't waterproof.
..and a detour would cost only a few miles
Or better still, why enter really slowly then floor it when it starts getting deep!
@@HughzieTubeclose but no cigar
Enter at 10km and continue at that maximum 25km but no faster, your right about slow speed just got to keep muffler clear 7.20 black car perfectly done and of course dry your brakes after😂😂😂
You don't need to worry about keeping the "muffler clear"......
@@MajorT0m oh really
4:17 Finally ! Someone who doesn't repeateadly try to restart their engine while still in the water !
An Unimog is not interested in such low level floods 😂
To understand what's happening to the engines, all you need to know is that liquids like water cannot be compressed, and that all combustion engines heavily compress whatever comes in through the intake manifold (or at least they try)😮
HGV & the black Ford guy.. Top marks to you guys !! 🥇🏆
WOW....that "squirting" engine was fantastic....good rhythm to it...🚗😉😉
5:01 thats the proper way to go in the flood, nice and slow but get a small bow wave
cautious till the car is wet, then floor it. dont understand ppl creeping in like the risk is near the shore, the risk is the speed in the middle
4:18 like the wife with her favorite toy......
That one had me in stitches. lol
Those dafs have the airintake in the right wheelwell. They are not suited for deep water.
Not on the CF normally, mine is behind the cab level with the door handles. It’s behind the drivers side step on scanias. Unless they’ve changed it on the newest CFs, mine is an 18 plate.
Still though, driving at that speed into flood water could send it anywhere in the engine bay and cause issues
It's up high behind the cab, the same as mine, you can see it. Probably electrics that let it down.
Hmm. Ours (2023 YM) have them in the wheel well.
@@tompettersson3814 Ah, is yours the new shape? The XG/XD whatever they’re called now
@@GarffPittor shattered the engine fan on impact with the water
I don't understand why they go full Safari Rally through the water that deep :D
The urge to drive fast through high water and get it up around the windscreen / intake is always a brilliant one. The faster you go, the less time in the water.
But the more time you spend waiting for recovery
That first driver regretted his stupidity right way 😂
I love unimogs so much. Thanks for getting that one Ben. 👌
No probs. The Farmer took it through just for the video, so thanks to him 👌🏼
Same. Unimogs are legendary.
4:17 - that's one way of working out the firing order, a Haynes manual would have been cheaper though!
You mean 4:17? The vid ain't 14 mins long.
@@UA-camDeletesComments Fixed!
😂
Sone good ones there Ben.
Nice of the HGV Driver to wreck something that doesn’t even belong to them.
Never, EVER, go fast in a flood...
well, the Honda does appear to have a kill switch lanyard on the ignition like the ones mandated on power boats. So maybe the guy does think it is a boat.
4:21 VTEC kicked in yo
The key to crossing is going slow and making sure water doesn’t go over air intake.
the key to crossing water is: take a boat
It's okay if you pass quickly and decisively. Water doesn't even have a chance to enter the air filter.
@@oceanborn01 are u sure the water knows that too?
@@TheHolan :)) Yeah man. You will pass through water just like Moses divided the Red Sea into two.
@@oceanborn01 now, i HAVE to try that !!! 😆
4:17 Here the engine firing, eh watering order is shown.😅
The fella driving the kwikfit van should know better i mean come on 😂
Can’t get shitter than a quick fit fitter
STUPID BOY !! Boats r4 rivers cars 4 roads, got that Pike! Aye weir doomed!
4:42 goodbye license plate 😂
Damn that engine was squirting out
They should keep it as a garden feature.
Best thing is if your mate takes out the last spark plug, you start it. He'll get a face full 😂
Great laugh seeing you again. Think we have more rain due at the end of the week, hopefully enough to bring buttsbury over the top railing 😉
What goes through some peoples brains 🤦🏽♂️
Nothing, that's the problem. Wind blows in from one ear and whistles out the other.
Britain's brain dead😂
Water
NOTHING! Notafish.
Nothing
i feel bad for the old civic
*Accord, me too.
@@thomasmason3483 my bad civic was supposed to say honda. Civic in the brain lol
Why is an old civic such a big deal?
Thanks for the morning laughs from Canada Ben!
There's probably a non flooded road 2 miles away
The detour is about 10 minutes for all the Fords in this video…
The first one I'm pretty sure is Watery Gate Lane in Leicestershire, its about 2mins difference (if that) going the non-ford way. The local councils spent £65,000 putting a gate in, that I've only ever seen closed once, in the middle of summer when it was about 6" deep.
That poor Honda was a true survivor. It probably lived.
Thanks for sharing with us! Good video always Ben!
''Hello LC Hire, its just cut out after driving through some water!'' lol
Apparently there are some people that didn't know water does not go well with engines!
Good one Ben! It's a cool Sunday morning here in Raleigh, NC, US! (Ben, you should wear a full black costume with hood and a sickle whilst filming....might make some folks turn-around and not drown their poor vehicles !)
Hire company hired him now they gone fire him, it's no surprise if this is uk I don't expect many sensible folks when they see hazards most will still attempt to go through it 😮💨
Brilliant video as always 😊
Cheers mate 😁
This week on "How to destroy your car in 10 seconds flat":
these people think that they drive boats 🤣
And a Unimog out in the wild! Not being used by an electric company or Open Reach.
People going through the floor like the engine don't need air to run, and like water is compressible. I can hear the connecting rods bending from here.
Them unimogs has no trouble 😂
Perfect video.
Great picture quality 😊
4:18 nice!!!!😂😂
Can you say...."Hydro-Lock?" There. I knew that you could.
Ben I see at Rufford Ford building project bridge and heavy rain 2 feet high yesterday at Rufford Ford.
I think Rufford Ford is closed to traffic from now on. Way too many idiots!
Just imagine a electric car you be zapped 😂
You need a mic on the bridge to get the " engine dying " sound better :)
I understand that if you go slow your engine will not suck water through the air intake and cause instant mechanical damage to the engine. What is with the sensors, wires, cables, plugs, and electrical motors in cooling fans, lights, alternators, pumps etc.? Not to mention instant cooling of the engine block and hole exhaust system?
Watching from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you!
Thank you for watching
Fabulous video. Nice fords. Smoking 👍
Thank you 😊
I don't get why i would Go thru there in with an normal car the First place. And If unavoidable then slow and steady and Not full Steam ahead Like most seem to. The engine fountain ist quite enjoyable to bei honest😅
If only being willfully stupid were a prosecuable offence; or perhaps causing criminal damage applies.
😂😂😂 what absolutely Muppets. 😂😂 what's funniest this guy is making a couple quid from these incompet drivers. Brilliant
The way to drive through a flood or ford, is simple you enter the water slowly and then speed up a little to make a small bow wave to keep the water away from the engine. Then keep moving till you exit the ford or flood.
I bet its a bit deeper today !
what a great business being a tow truck driver or mechanic there xD
Ring Ring hello is that LC Vehicle hire? I have some bad news 😂
You alright Ben, got a couple more last night. Today is to high tomorrow might be the best if it don't rain. Got a couple more going through for ya. Didn't get the last one that was stuck as was to dark I'll air drop u when your next down
That outlander did ok.... except for the front number plate
the ford had a good drink lol
Mad People!
Its muppet season again!
People think cars are BOATS. the worst thing for the engine is the water. Not now but in a year or 2 you will see the results of that engine. You will need to buy another car or let's say a brand-new engine. Have FUN. Be Bless your going to need it
2:24 looking inside the engine for the tow hook. Doesn't find it. Checks the undertay. Nope, not there either. Hooks up the strap to the radiator. Hahaha wtf is wrong with these people 😂
Vale, tenemos limpia parabrisas así que vamos!
Parece que nos quedamos sin coche....
I think allot of the drivers get deceived by how deep it really is even with the signs.
You would think the people being round waiting for someone’s misjudgment and downfall might be there to prevent all that.
These videos might say allot about the drivers but it also says allot about those recording and waiting for it to happen.
If this principle was placed in a different scenario I think people would think other wise.
Do you want me to subscribe to your church next? 😂
If only the vehicles had more ground clearance and a higher air intake.
Those drivers are right mugs just wrecking their vehicles! WHY to drive to the shops 😂
This is why insurance premiums are going through the roof.
Funny, my car won't cross a river 😂
Drivers in your village ain't to clever going through that water risking there motors because of what exactly?.impatience? Stupidly,, all of the above 😂
I thought the fools learned their lesson and it's still the same
Vehicle hire company for lorry going to be happy...
Running a bit rich on the hydrogen lol
Those drivers must not know how an engine works. Otherwise they would not do that mistake....🤔
These is zero chance i would take my beloved Jaguar across that. No was Jose.
If only someone would invent the bridge.....
The hire company should see this
First clip is Watery Gate Lane? That red gate cost £65,000.
I would like to know how many cars break down every year
It is life affirming the way the Brits would rather film someone’s misfortune than help them avoid it. Lovely people great place.
Its not his responsibility, these people are grown adults they should know better
2:05 You can’t get thicker than a Kwik Fit fitter!
All any of these people had to do was drive at 2mph and they would be fine.
Hey I got places to be, ok? Sssssend it
If you don't empty the airfilter box you can keep cranking for ever. Until your battery is dead.
I think the key to getting through a ford safely is to keep your momentum up. If the water is coming over the hood and just touches your windshield, then that's just about the right speed. If the water is below the hood, then keep accelerating until the water is over the hood.
Just drive in reverse.....
terrible advice lol
Ford in ford🤣
So many seized engines!!!!
hi there, it never ceases to amaze me how thick the general public are in 2023
Arrogant impatient narcissists. Too lazy to find a different way
Esses caminhões são a diesel ?
Não consigo entender porque param de funcionar .
Why don't they do something about this low water crossing and put a bridge in it's place instead of people having to chance ruining their cars?
Why not elevate the road higher? So The emergency vehicles don't go the way?
It seems going slow makes more sense, because you get less water going all over the engine.
The Honda lives they are bullet proof.
