Bipolar means motor direction may be forward and reverse. Bipolar analog signal may be +/-10V or +/-4-20mA or +32767 to - 32767 etc. By using bipolar signal you can change direction of motor without any additional direction command input. Signal polarity decides the direction

i will suggest that you buy readymade convertor. some companies will design as per your application and power quality.. your home made circuit can damage your inverter so its better to get advice from convertor manufacturers
