3+ minutes that prove these guys are still better than 95% of bands/performers out there
Never better than Phish!!!!
Ive seen them maybe 5 or 6 times over the past twenty years. They are hands down the best live band that I've seen.
Facts
@@harryhood1883 I just threw up in my mouth
My "Walk Up" song when I hit the first tee box in golf outings. What a great band !
Hot dang!? It's 2018 and Devo looks, performs, and sounds absolutely amazing -- and that's good! :)
CON FOUNDIT I AGREE !
It's only been what? 40 years??
Devo's greatest song and about as straight up Punk as it gets. Impressive how good they still sound live.
I think Social Fools might be a little more punk tho
I was at this show and it kicked ass! They blew every other act on the bill away. Hearing their soundcheck at 10:00 am from the motel across the street was a highlight!
Fred watching the show and still drumming is the greatest thing EVER!!
Here's hoping Michael and Peter filmed the whole concert like this and will be posting more.
2:39 I cried, Seriously.
One of the best gigs ever was Devo 81 at Southampton UK, still killing it nearly 40 years later 👍
dammit!!! i remember driving by this show ...being pissed that i was missing it...wow...i didnt think it was so recent as 2018 tho...saw devo too many times to count since 77!!! devo most definitely broke many into punk nice and easy...cant start em out with sex pistols ya know...clash and ramones started me out...what a life!!!
TY MP for your service to humanity.
The crowd goes crazy! I remember have been played this song in some parties at the 80's and the same thing happened. Good memories.
OMFG I am SOOOOOOOO happy!!! #DevoIsLife
Masters
The echo effect sort of enhanced this performance. Thanks Michael.
so glad you captured this, thank you! soooooo amazing!
Great as always
Devo... Simply the best
Casale? suspiciously good hair, good knees. I'm a bit jealous, if I'm honest.
He's 70 and jumping up and pulling his calves behind him.
70...
@@sammencia7945 Casale is in his 70s, but his hair is only 40.
That crowd was so lucky greeting's from Colombia !!!
Very slick performance - thanks Michael for the upload.
So glad I was able to make it
Damn this drives me insane I want to smack everything with my hands hahahahahahah
Great video Pilmer!
Woooow, tienen 70 años y es increible lo bien que siguen sonando!! Vengan a Argentina por favor!!!!
1:52 That wink
Private Pyle
you can feel the energy.....they fucking ROCK!!!!!!
Just an awesome band - always!
I'm really tired of this same commercial playing over and over but the drummer for this Devo performance is in it this time so I'll let it slide. Good show!
Devo, sempre maravilhoso
Akron's finest!
Go Fred go!
With Fred Armisen on the skins even. What a show!!
So good
they're unique
And I say yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah!

Wish I could have seen this so bad
Outstanding! :)
Woo!
Good job conheim
Is the full set available anywhere ?
Not that I know of...i only shot bits of it.
01:11 well... lucky there wasn't any technician behind it
Fred Armisen on drums ;)
Fred Armisen on drums?
Yep!
Where's Wormser and Lamar Latrell? Also why don't they say "No on 13" in this version?
Couple a thousand 25 year olds moshing to Devo. We never did that back in the day, but in 50 years they will be able to tell their grandkids that they slammed to Devo.
In the 22nd C those grandkids will be able to tell that to theirs.
2120:
"Oh...they are in style this week?
Yeah. My grandpa was at that show moshing. Pull up the 128k HD filter...yeah that's him there..."
Who's the second guitarist?
Josh Hager has joined since the passing of Bob 2 [R.I.P.]
He's from Boston, was in The Elevator Drops, among other bands, it seems.

Thanks!
He's had my unwavering appreciation ever since the 2014 CBGB Festival show. Poor guy came down wrong during "Uncontrollable Urge," fractured his kneecap, and still managed to finish the set. Standing. That's dedication.
Richard Anderson dang! They should bring back the knee/elbow pads/helmet uniform.
He _was_ wearing kneepads! It might have been worse without 'em!
All still original members? Bald guy looks kinda young.
3 Original members (2 are deceased). Living members in this video: Mark Mothersbaugh, Bob Mothersbaugh, Jerry Casale
If you don’t pogo then why go
For what's already a pretty basic song, I think they simplified it a bit too much - like eliminating most of the synth sounds. The song is built on a good solid punk motif, but without the synths, basic as they are, it loses the "Devo" a little. Also, they look a little tired here. I'm a huge spud fan, so take it as you will - still good to see them anyway, and the vid is highly appreciated.
They are 60+ you expect them to widly jump around?
Basic lol shut up
Josh Freeze is a better drummer than Armisen
