Just saw this last night per the recommendation of my Mom who loves cheesy romcom's. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually a really good movie. Decent story, good acting, funny at the right times, even pulled at the heart strings a little. Good job Netflix.

Okay, but this was actually really well acted and they're actually portrayed as nuanced adults with adult feelings and a well rounded characterization and I actually highly recommend it if you want something deeper than the usual but with nice natural slow build chemistry

The trailer gives all the story, I know how it will end and still will I watch it? Absolutely yes!!! Nothing like watching a romcom imagining that could happen to you someday and then later cry because how single you are.

I’m really sorry they broke up. She’s found a new boyfriend and she and Daniel have remained friends. They may be the only couple I’ve ever seen that you never got tired of looking at. It’s sad they’re getting divorced.

A lot of the comments say that this is a 'Typical' rom-com. I'd beg to differ (even though it will do the things a rom com does) because you rarely see a rom com with an interracial relationship. I've only seen one other. Never have I seen a rom com with a black couple. So I don't see it as typical. I'm sure they wont make race a central part of the story but the imagery is different at least.
Not here to disagree. It's just that as a rom-com lover I wanted to recommend a few romantic comedies with Black couples: Last Holiday, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Brown Sugar

Expected yet another cheezy RomCom, but this was heartfelt and endearing, great performances and chemistry by the actors and an emotional pay off at the end. In these tough times its nice to have a well done romance movie to make you feel good about life and love

Somehow the movie emanates simplicity and actually exudes the vibe of genuine love.The performance of Rachael Cook who played the laborious and smart Susan captures the attention of Nick played by Damon Wayans. Nick's gradual attraction towards his beautiful lawyer is lucidly portrayed in the movie such that it neither seems over exaggerating nor abjectly distant but feels authentic.He neither pushed nor shoved his ladylove but gives respect and space to grow at its own pace.The movie pace is right and the contextual shortcomings are nicely compensated by the seasoned acting of the leading artists.Even Nick's confession in the courtroom looked endearing far from theatrical drama.The character development of Susan from being an intentional loner, to her internal dilemma about her fledgling romantic feelings for her client but her self-restraint to put her job in utmost priority enhanced the depth of the character.Overall it was a good movie with a good ending.
